Bay Lodging Resort

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everyone could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Great location, close to everything, and fun amenities like the indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub with a staffed bar.

This place has been here for years, so honestly it's a little bit run down. They do a good job keeping things running and making sure the guests have all they need, but it is what it is: a place to flop on the island when you're done having fun in the sun all day. Nothing wrong with it if you don't go into the situation expecting a stay at the Ritz-Carlton.

Breakfast just ok. We had a great time. The bartender at outside bar ,was absolutely wonderful. She made our trip. Madeline is one of a kind. We had a problem with our golf cart but they were on it picked us up right away with another cart and traded. Beds were very comfortable. It was a nice location to stay . We will be back.

Breakfast

The room was small but clean bathroom was clean. Which is always a plus in my book. The bed was hard, so it was uncomfortable for me. My sister said she slept well. So to each his own. The location was great better than I expected. It was within walking distance, but I don't like walking, so the golf cart was a huge plus, worth every penny. The location was up the street from The Boardwalk, Holigans, and the Firehouse bar. The food at most of the bars and restuarants were great. The best place was the resturant above the Chocolate Museum. The food was outstanding. The steak, duck,pork chops and the green chilli soup was out of this world. The cocolate and coffee was great!

I was expecting a microwave in the room, but the they said it was for 6 or more people. Had gnats in the room which was annoying, I did bring that to their attention. The coffee was ok for a small resort, I did enjoyed the coffee. Had muffins and cereal and juice for breakfast. I didn't eat it, but it looked enjoyable. We arrived on a Thursday and the bar at the resort was closed until Friday. The bar didn't serve food, I thought that was a bummer. Had to go down the street to the other bars to drink.

The location was great, close to everything while being quiet and secluded. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of outlets for device charging. Staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated having a parking option for our vehicle.

The a/c did not work well, one of the lower level bedrooms was always hot and humid. There were no closets or hooks to hang clothes in the bedrooms or wet towels and bathing suits in the bathroom. The pool water was very cold and not comfortable to swim in. The living room furniture was beat up and not very comfortable. The continental breakfast was lackluster, and only consisted of mini muffins, coffee, and bagels, regardless of how early we arrived (often between 7 & 8am) most of that was gone and only once was there cream cheese for the bagels.

Walkable to grocery store and restaurants, had golf carts for rent on site. Stayed in a room with 3 double beds at a reasonable rate. Nice pool facilities, friendly staff.

Continental breakfast was pretty limited and they had no tea bags, only coffee and juice. Staff response to complaint about needed maintenance on the seat belts on the golf cart was not proactive. Just a shrug, "seat belts are required anyway"

I really enjoyed the bar downstairs by the pool and hot tub area and that we were able to purchase a golf cart and check in early. The staff was also very friendly.

The free breakfast could have been better it was only cold cereal granola bars and pre-packaged muffins. They needed to add warm food items

I hadn't stayed here in years, and it was just as nice as I remembered! The lady at the front desk was awesome and picked us up from the ferry dock (this was off season so this may not be an option if you are staying during peak). It was very cold and we originally intended to walk since we enjoy long walks but changed our minds when it started sleeting. Prices were on par with other island hotels. We visited when literally everything but this hotel and one bar were closed. It was a lot of fun seeing the island on the very very off season. We did walk to the ferry the next day to leave, it was about a 30 minute walk if you are curious. Would stay again.

There was a firm bed and a soft bed for both needs. The staff was so friendly and helped explain things when asked. The staff also talked to us like we was family. We didn’t get to go into the pool and bar but it was packed so it must’ve been awesome. I loved that there was a tv in the room. The beds was neatly made. Not as loud or busy like other hotels(busy outside).

The price from booking.com. If you’re going to rent a hotel room, call and book with the hotel personally. Booking jacks up the prices over half of what they actually are. The bathroom fan automatically turns on with the light and it’s pretty loud. The ice machine is in the lobby which is fine until you’re sore and on the second level of the other part of the hotel separated from the lobby.

The girl at registration desk was so sweet and very accommodating. She went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

We were told we would have a breakfast included in our stay and were disappointed when we found out that was not true. This was booking.com fault, definitely not happy about that.

We enjoyed the location and the friendliness of the staff! I didn’t think to reserve my cart for the night of our arrival until last minute and the girl at the front desk was able to get me the last rental! The entire staff was extremely accommodating and very kind. Would definitely visit again just because of that!

Rooms were clean but the beds weren’t very comfortable, felt worn down almost to the springs.
