Last time we stayed there the room was stinky and the furniture was gross. They improved the place a great deal with new furniture since our last visit New flooring and new counters. The room didn't smell stinky at all.

The cabin comes with a hot tub but for some reason there is not a single hook to hang a towel on in the bathroom or anywhere else in the cabin. There is not enough Lighting in the bathroom the new mirror does not provide sufficient lighting. The room is very dark it had hanging ceiling lamps over the dining table area before which is now been replaced by a desk. Also we were continually interrupted by people coming up to the patio door. There is no curtain on the patio door we had people that kept on bending in half to even look into our room from the deck above us which was very intrusive and really killed the mood of our anniversary weekend. I would suggest more lighting more Hooks and curtains over that patio door are definitely needed.

Beautiful view, niced sized room for 4 people we weren't climbing on top each other or our stuff. Nice central location in town, the room was clean and supplied with a good amount of cups for the coffee machine, beds were a lot more comfortable this time than last time i stayed prior to the remodel.

We ended up with really loud people in the room above us, not the hotels fault by any means but you definitely when staying here in the 2nd or 3 floor be mindful of your steps. Our room the bathroom was very small, totally fine for a short stay with no kids, but if you had kids or anyone who needed help with bathing or showering it's a bit tight.

location in town, ocean view, easy access to beach by foot or vehicle, allows me to bring my dog is Number 1!

1. no ice machine - used to be one there. 2. I’ve stayed in two different rooms so far in 2023 and neither room had any place except The bathroom, to hang your coat or clothes. 3. neither room had Any kind of nightstand or table by either side of the bed. 4. not sure if the hotel is counting a “Franklin stove type” heater as a fireplace? ? ? well, kinda, I guess? see picture.

The view and location were great. There was a nice patio out the back door overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and comfy. The big room next door has a hot tub on the deck. Might have to try that next time. Pretty quiet. Didn't hear anything from above me.

The door between my room and the other allowed for too much sound to come through. I could hear everything being said next door and at 2:30-3:30 a.m. it was a bit annoying. Parking is a little cozy.

Super convenient. I don't know that I'd come back during another storm—but even though the ocean was noisy (not Seagull's fault) and the wind whipped at the doors and windows, the building felt rock solid and secure. I could have easily imagined a building being rickety so close to the ocean after all these years, but this one felt safe. And I got to ride out a wild ocean storm at the ocean—a beautiful gift.

I'd recommend updating/replacing the weatherproofing on the door. The room I stayed in happened to be at the end of a small hallway which had ridiculous winds plummeting the door—and I could feel the breeze from the bed. After placing a pillow on the ground and a chair in front, it was fine. I could also see a curtain hung here working well (e.g. on a tension rod)—adding some additional sense of security/privacy since the door opens directly to the bed. And some sort of interior lock...took me a while to trust the the door would lock since there's no internal locking mechanism. Makes me want to get a travel door lock.

Having an amazing ocean view is worth staying at an older motel. The first thing we saw walking into the room was the sun going down. We could hear the ocean tide and smell the clean ocean air. It was truly a wow moment.

It is an older motel. There were signs of age however, what mattered most to us was that it was clean and comfortable. We could live with some chipped paint and rusty hinges. I would stay there again.

We loved renting the cottage and having our own private space.

The stove didn’t work and that was one of the main reasons for choosing to rent the cottage on my birthday. We were wanting to cook food ourselves instead of having to go out to eat for every meal. We were in the middle of cooking dinner and realized the stove wasn’t getting warm and ending up not being able to cook ourselves anything.

View was excellent. Didn't know they had fans. The room was pretty warm.

Knowing they had fans available, the room was really warm. Stairs frightened the dogs. Stairs were hot to their feet. I have one dog afraid of heights and seeing through the step to the ground mad it hard to get her to the third floor. The dogs loved their view of the beach and the dogs had an excellent time. Trade off, excellent view of beach seagulls, and kites, or no stairs and not as nice of a view. I go with the view and dogs can learn to live with it.

We love the view from this hotel, that they allow pets, and the short access to the beach. They Just did a partial remodel the outside and the stairway Looks very nice, some rooms have been remodeled ours hadn't been done yet

It got up to 97ﾟ the day that we came in and the coast just isn't equipped for that kind of temperature so our room was very hot They did provide us with a fan, I really wished that they would offer early checkins As it feels like the 1st day of vacation is kind of wasted Not being able to check in until 4

We have stayed here for as long as I can remember.... Always our go to place. The view is outstanding they allow our fur kid which is always a priority!

My only complaint is I wish they had comfortable chairs at the window area.... the bed was great and they are remodeling so maybe more to come. I did find out they are new owners. And the access road was closed once again however this is not their fault it just sucks because a knee injury left me unable to go down to beach at the hotel so we had to go down at Chinook Winds.
