Clarion Inn Surfrider Resort

The price point for the location was fabulous. The room was a great size, clean and updated. We loved the whirlpool tub! It was also nice to have a sink next to the fridge and coffee maker. The staff was great, especially at the restaurant. We purchased the romance package for our special anniversary weekend and it was just as we expected and we even received a card from the staff which was very thoughtful.

Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable. To be fair my husband and I have bad backs and just don't do well on spring mattresses. But the linens and everything was great, super clean.

The room is clean and cozy. The view and fireplace made it truly a relaxing experience. Loved the bathtub.

The only thing we didn't really care for is the noise level between floors. The people above us on night one were up almost all night and it was very noisy.

The location is spectacular! The ocean view is wonderful and depending on the site, there were several to include the Siren restaurant, the suite, even the lobby, the view was different and more amazing. The food at the Siren was good and the staff at the restaurant were polite and attentive. Housekeeping was helpful when called.

This was an overall great experience for my family. There was a bit of the previous guest left in the pull out couch. The couch had candy and animal hair in it. The floor had light debris, but just enough that kept me from walking barefoot. There were several times that Lobby staff were not in place so walk-in customers as well as call in customers were left to wait/keep calling.

My room was so very nice - the view spectactular. The little windows that open leaked air, but I didn't really mind. Having a restaurant on site made our trip so much nicer, as we didn't have to travel much. The romance package was fantastic and such a nice thing to come in to after traveling. The entrance to the balcony being shared by the room next to us was odd, but still so very nice to have a balcony.

The grout in the shower needs to be deep cleaned and the electric fireplace grates need to be vacuumed, as they had a build up of dust on them. The fireplace didn't put out much heat. The bed was very firm which aggravated my back, the pillows a bit too soft. The "champagne" for my romance package was a very dry sparkling wine, so we didn't drink much of it.

The room was nice very roomy. The view from my room was so pretty and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was very relaxing. The salt water pool was out of this world my skin and hair feel softer.... the spa and sauna were very relaxing and thats what you want on vacation..

We did not receive any maid service the entire stay. We had to ask the front desk for a broom to clean the floors and that is not something you expect on vacation...

The location is excellent. The buildings are old, but efforts to make upgrades are obviously being done. The staff was very friendly and it was exceptionally clean. There is a beach access at the end of the parking lot - very steep, but then it was like we had a private beach with very few other people there. Wonderful area of the coast!

There was only powdered creamer for the coffee, no coffee in the lobby and very difficult to get coffee to go from the restaurant.

This place has an exceptional location right on the ocean with a wonderful beach below. The room was spotless and I would rate the whole complex high in cleanliness.. The restaurant was very nice and the food excellent.. ,

The bathroom definitely could use some updating. The shower was hard to use. The faucet to turn it on was not working right. It was very difficult to turn the water on and off. Also there are no safety bars to hold onto, nor a mat available for the bottom of the tub. Also the sink had no stopper, and it would be very easy to lose something down the drain.

Nice ocean front view! I liked that the restaurant was on site. Very convenient. I liked that you could access the deck area from the hotel room to sit and watch the ocean. I liked that there were USB options for charging my phone. And I liked that there was a hot tub/jacuzzi option!

I didn’t see any air conditioning for the room but it was fine by opening the windows and using the ceiling fan. I used the iron and ironing board but there was no padding on the ironing board so that wasn’t ideal for ironing my work clothes. The room was nice but there was a line through the walls that looked like furniture had been dragged across the wall back and forth so it looked like it needed to be re-painted. That’s all. All in all, though not perfect, not a bad experience. I was pretty happy with my stay.

Location and view were awesome. Hotel bar is cute and quaint, and bartender Joe is awesome. Room is spacious but furniture isn't very comfortable. Restaurant food is pretty good.

last day there at restaurant, we waited over 40 minutes for our breakfast. A table that arrived and ordered well after we placed our order, got their food a good 10 minutes before we did. The staff barely acknowledged the delay with a brief apology of being busy.

Loved the view and the fact I had a ground level room. It was nice to be able to see the rocks at low tide from my balcony. There were sea lions on the rocks one day. I would have liked a small table on the balcony so I could eat out there and have a place to set my plate, glass. The bed was very comfortable, an additional blanket would have been nice for chilly nights.

I ate in the restaurant twice- once for dinner and once for breakfast. Not sure if it was my choices or something was off with the mac and cheese but I could not eat it. My pancakes were a bit darker than I care for, not burnt but a minute more and they would have been. This made them taste dry and chewy.
