I was thoroughly impressed by my stay at the Inn at the Convention Centre in Portland, Oregon. The hotel's prime location near the Oregon Convention Centre was incredibly convenient. From the Portland Airport, you take the Red Line Max Train and drop at the Convention Centre Stage, which is less than 2-minutes’ walk to the Hotel. What truly stood out was the staff's exceptional friendliness and helpfulness, making me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. The room itself was a pleasant surprise, offering a comfortable bed and in-house facilities like tea-brewing. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a refrigerator, where I could buy my food and store in a refrigerator. The cleanliness of the room and the overall maintenance of the hotel was commendable. The Hotel provides great value for money, combining a fantastic location, friendly service, and comfortable accommodations. It's an ideal choice for both business travellers and tourists looking to explore Portland's vibrant culture and attractions.
There were minor issues with Wi-fi connectivity as it is not very strong, and always being overshadowed by the Wi-fi from the nearby Hyatt Regency Hotel. The Hotel does not have restaurant services; however, you can get food from nearby restaurants. You can also brew coffee or tea in the room as there are facilities for that.

The location was outstanding. I finished the STP ride and was able to cycle to the hotel within minutes. I was able to walk to the grocery store easily and then cycle to the train station the next day. I decided on this hotel because it was a fourth of the cost of the official hotel at the end of the STP ride. The front desk clerk let me into my room an hour early which was fantastic since I just finished cycling 100 miles and really needed a shower. Also my view from the 5th floor room was really nice and they actually provided creme rinse for my hair.
The hotel is a little old but I didn't care. There are a few rowdy unhoused folks nearby but that didn't bother me either. I'd stay here again, I really didn't have an issue.

Well .............. very simply ................. what wasn't there to appreciate about our stay at the Inn at the Convention Center? Our room was excellently located. Excellently furnished. Excellent room servicing. Wonderfully excellent, excellent, excellent staff members at the front desk who were so extremely helpful with all of our many questions about Portland, transportation facilities, and everything else.
Look .............. it's certainly not a question about what we didn't like because we appreciated the entirety of our stay at the Inn at the Convention Center.

the amount of mirrors are great for makeup or looking at new outfits. lighting is good. they placed a bathroom floor matt too. lemongrass body wash was good. AC worked great and helped block out noise. coffee pot and fridge work good. shower works though no fan. workers are really nice and helpful. recommend for a quick trip.
you could hear the outside often and sometimes the neighbors, but convenient spot for near the con center. elevator is old but worked good the whole time. no windows to open but the AC made up for it.

Always a good stay when there’s an event at the Moda Center, perfect walking distance. Parkings easy and can get around quick. I was in a bind with losing my car keys but the staff was excellent with understanding my situation. Out of date but always good stay for overnight and convenience
On one side of the building through the air conditioner the Max is right below along with traffic is loud but that’s a given I’m used to it, so make sure to bring earplugs or headphones

We were in town for a concert and the location of this hotel is perfect for walking to the Moda Center (5 min away). There is parking (which cost extra but wasn't too expensive; $17), the beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We asked for a room upgrade which wasn't possible as the hotel was fully booked, but instead they made sure our request to stay at an upper level floor, which we made when we booked, was met. We were there a bit too early and they offered to hold our luggage before we could check in so we could explore the city a bit. The room was very spacious and there was a fridge, coffee maker and sort of a breakfast bar, which we appreciated as we wanted to have breakfast in the room. Although the internet was a bit slow, it works and we were able to do everything we needed on our phones.
As other customers have already mentioned, the windows aren't the best and you can hear the sound from the streets and the street cars a lot. This is why we requested to either stay on the other side of the hotel or on an upper floor. We ended up being on the top floor and slept really well, despite hearing the street noise during the night. If you are not a deep sleeper, I do recommend to bring earplugs or to spend a bit more money to stay in one of the rooms on the other side. The furniture and especially bathroom are a bit dated. Everything was functional and clean however and the bed very comfortable.

The location was perfect for getting to our concert at the Moda arena, and it was very convenient to get around town with the train station being right at the hotel as well. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quite large as well for the three of us staying.
Everything was great, the hotel could use some upgrades just in terms of decor and general renovations and perhaps a bit more of a spacious bathroom area. Nothing that would be a quick fix, it had everything needed for a basic and easy stay in the convention center area!

We came to Portland for a comedy show at the Moda Center. The location is just a few blocks away so we just walked. We were greeted by very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. They gave us suggestions for places to eat and local attractions. They even printed us up a map of the immediate area. Staff were 10/10!
The rooms could use updating, our bathroom was exceedingly small and the layout was really odd. There wasn’t a lot of lighting in the room but luckily we were on the view side so we were lucky to have natural light. Overall not nearly the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. I would rate it 8/10

the staff were some of the sweetest, friendliest i have ever known. they even had a vase of fresh flowers for mother's day encouraging us to take one. very very thoughtful and genuine. that is the highest compliment i can pay.....truly genuine. no gimmicks here, simpply wonderful people!
the appearance was a little sad and dreary. everything inside and out needs a fresh coat of paint and simply touchups. no major renovation at all.........just needs to be spruced up.

Loved the view of the city from our room! This was the lowest cost option I could find to be within walking distance of the Moda Center so we could watch a Blazers game, and it met our needs just fine. The room was clean and had everything we needed, front desk staff was very friendly. On-site parking was nice, having a covered area was great during the rain, snow and ice. Parking does cost $15, but pretty much every hotel in the area charges and $15/day is about as cheap as you're going to find.
One of the elevators was out when we visited, apparently a casualty of the recent winter weather related power outages. So getting to the top floor while sharing one small and slow elevator with everyone else in the hotel was kind of a process, especially since the stairs were for emergency exit use only. No quick trips down to the car if you forgot something!
