The Woodlark is the hotel of choice for me when traveling for business to Portland. I am in the City a couple of times each month. The interior is beautiful, the staff so friendly and accommodating, and the bed divine. They continue to make amenity enhancements the make each stay even better. Champagne or wine upon arrival. The coffee delivered to your door at the time you request. Good Coffee and their pastries are simply fabulous.
Bullard, the restaurant has changed the menu and took off two of my favorite items. The Beet Salad and the Pavlova dessert. Bring them back...... :-) Seriously, I can't think of anything I don't like about The Woodlark. Great location. Awesome staff. Wonderful rooms.

The style and comfort of the hotel was impeccable. We loved the decor and how big the bathrooms are. And hooks! Hotels never offer enough hooks to hang things, but the Woodlark does. The eco-friendly options were great! The staff, especially Diana at the front desk, were superb. The location is within walking distance to almost all major tourist locations.
There was construction going on nextdoor. Not the hotel's fault, but it did make for noisy mornings. It would be nice if basic/black coffee was available for free to the guests for the full morning (after 7am). They have a great coffee shop on-site, so I get they want you to use that, but a carafe downstairs or small machine in the rooms would be a nice touch..

I liked that there was a restaurant and cafe on location. I LOVED the boutique look. The bathroom decor was so glamorous.
Valet was supposed to send me a text/email with information to retrieve my vehicle but I had to mention twice (one the day I arrived and once the morning I left) that I never received the text. It was finally fixed about a half hour before my departure. The room was smaller than I had expected, which would have been a problem if I was staying as a couple but thankfully this was a solo trip. I don't know that the price point was worth the available space. The area around the hotel seemed fairly safe but a few blocks over it didn't feel safe at all (aggressive homeless and open daytime drug use) and so I stayed at the hotel for my dinner and breakfast, so thankfully there were options on site for that.

The hotel decor is beautiful, and the staff were great. The room was comfortable and had incredibly high ceilings. Excellent shower. We liked the coffee shop in the lobby, and the restaurant and bar as well. They really came in handy since we didn’t want to leave the hotel.
The property itself is beautiful. The room was very stylish but lacked a chair, a desk, or anywhere to put a suitcase. Downtown Portland is overrun with people using drugs in public and sleeping on the street, so we went to the zoo and then stayed in the hotel the rest of the time.

Location is awesome. So easy to get around the city, especially the westside. The room we stayed in (loft suite) was great. Design aspects were gorgeous. Loved the restaurants available there in the hotel. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. It was a staycation for us as we are local to the Portland area, and this place definitely captured the unique culinary and high design feel that represents the best of Portland.
I don't recommend walking anywhere after dark, as there were some very loud and invasive homeless people. Our group was just three girls and it didn't feel safe. We used the pull out bed in our loft suite and had to request linens and pillows. The blanket was pretty gross feeling and had holes in it, which was odd considering how nice everything else was. Furniture with stone tops (coffee table, tv cabinet) had pretty severe wear and tear that took away from the aesthetic.

The staff were amazing and accommodating. I asked for an early check-in and was able to come in at 9:30am! From greeting & opening our car and the front hotel doors for us every single time, I really couldn’t ask for more. I forgot the name of the sweet front desk lady who had helped us, but she even sent complimentary wine to our room since we were celebrating my bf’s birthday! We went to check out the coffee shop in the lobby and i ordered a matcha latte which was great. Great place to chat, study, work, or just vibe out. The decor was stunning. Our room was clean, beds comfy, nice city view, and the decor was everything! Be sure to also check out Abigail Hall (a speakeasy feel bar in the lobby) the espresso martini was fantastic. I needed to run off all the good food and cocktails I had so I also went to the gym. It was small but they have everything you need. I’d def stay here again!

Such a cool, stylish hotel - the big windows invite you in! Once inside, it's a great space to enjoy. I love the quaint, classy bar-Abigail Hall. I love just sitting in the open lobby spaces with a cup of coffee. The hotel rooms have a super cool vibe and the location on Alder is perfect to get anywhere.
This is a great place to stay but the construction of the very large hotel next door is noisy come Monday morning. Very smart of Woodlark to have a white noise machine in the room for early morning.

The staff was wonderful. I especially want to compliment Tessa and Andrew. I rated everything “exceptional” because of them. However, when we first arrived at 3pm to drop off our luggage so that we could go to grab a snack nearby, the manager (we didn’t get his name), immediately stated that we couldn’t check in until 4 pm even though we didn’t ask to check in early. When we returned at 6pm to check-in, we were surprised that our room on the 2nd floor was so small /cramped and didn’t think that it reflected what was advertised as a “Premium King”. Tessa was able to find another room for us and our stay there was wonderful. Thank you!

Beautiful, cool boutique hotel in a great location. Nice restaurant. Great coffee bar.
Construction literally 50 feet from our window! Trucks rolled in typically at 6 am (also on Saturdays!) - except for the one morning they came at 3 am. Ridiculous that this wasn’t acknowledged by the hotel staff at all. And they gave us a room that faced the construction! Couldn’t help thinking they were trying to see what they could get away with. Earplugs with a note in the room would have been a nice gesture, or a credit at the coffee bar. Felt very un-Portland-like. The only black mark on a great long weekend in an awesome city.

the decor is a mix of vintage and boho chic. the brass fixtures and marbles give a luxury feel to the room. The linens and fluffy down pillows are snuggle-in cozy and the bed is Goldilocks-comfy not too soft and not too hard, for a wonderful sleep. the windows are hug and let in natural light yet blackout curtains effectively keep our morning light. The bath towels are actually bath sheet sized, and there are plenty provided. the staff are all very friendly and eager to please. we felt welcome from the first moment we arrived. the location is perfect- just a few blocks from Pioneer Square, right around the corner from James’s Grill and Target, and a short walk to the Mecca of bookstores, Powell’s.
