Location: Centralized - places are walking distance Union, train station is nearby as so are bus stops and local tram and bus There is a moonshine bar named Swine attached the left side of the hotel. Amazing drinks and good small bites Room: 309 Not too close to the elevator; plenty of space. To use the elevator going to your room you need a room key and you are only allowed to press the floor you are staying in. We closed our curtains because of the bright sun you get into the room. Didn't really hear much unless someone was passing directly in from of the door Mirrors; there are ample mirrors for you to use. One inside the closet, one on the wall next to the bathroom and inside the actual bathroom. Bed: I got a king bed; the mattress was super comfortable. Bathroom: The Tub is a great addition especially soaking after a long day. The shower was good, it took just a few minutes for hot water and the water flow was decent. AC: phenomenal!

The pillows weren't the best quality which is a shame because the bed was amazingly comfortable. One pillow had a stain in the cover. We just set it aside instead. Look at the mugs in the room carefully if you want tea or coffee. Ours was dirty unfortunately. I didn't like the clothing iron in the room it leaked everywhere. Unfortunately you will see a few homeless people around and it is not the hotel's fault at all. Just saying for you to be aware.

Great room, friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel manager let us know exactly where to go when we mentioned some places we wanted to see. He gave us a map, circled some areas on it and even let us know of some other places to enjoy in the area. We were very impressed.

Nothing in particular about the property but it was very unnerving to be outside the hotel after dark with homeless persons wandering around naked in the area and smoking crack in the middle of the street. We did not feel safe and returned to the hotel quite quickly.

Great location, easy to walk around to shops across the square and restaurants. Hotel was very clean, nice, and secure. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and we had great views of Portland. Kennedy with valet was amazing, he gave us great recommendations, was so kind, and really made us feel welcome.

The only negative was the restaurant in the hotel being closed the night we arrived. We were able to order through the whiskey bar instead, which was great, but the Whiskey Room bartender seemed a little put out by that. The au gratin potatoes that were part of our order were so salty that it was inedible.

The hotel is centrally located and the tram (train) stop is literally just around the corner, so you get a direct connection from the airport for 2.50 in like 45 minutes. The hotel is slightly older and you can see that in bits here and there - curtains, furniture, etc. However, the beds and pillows are the most comfy, which is what is important if going for a conference, nice bathroom and there was also ironing board and iron, to make everything look neat after taking it out from the suitcase. Staff is frinedly and there is a bar downstairs. There is also a restaurant but we haven't tried it.

There is no breakfast, however I found that it is usual in US hotels. Given the standard I think it was on the pricier side, however, still a good deal for the location. You cannot open the windows much, only a few cm.

Great location! Lots of restaurants, shops, bus stops, etc. are in walking distance. The staff were all great and helpful. There's a bar and restaurant located on the main floor, which was convenient for a quick drink. Secure; you need a key to access any hotel floor. Bathroom was nice and bathtub and shower were a good size! Could take an actual bubble bath.

Not that I didn't like this about the property, but if you're not used to going into a bar and/or traveling with family, know that the bar doesn't allow minors inside. The staff can serve you, but you'd have to eat in the lobby.

Fantastic location. Wonderful staff. The hotel decor was nice. Appreciated the bathroom sundries and hotel shampoo was good. The restaurants downstairs had limited hours but staff there is great too.

Shower head was old, a newer one with the detachable head would be nice. Room missing city info. Carpet was old and need new mattresses and at least correct size fitted sheet. Would love to be able to "cast" to the TV. Also, large parties booked together should not be roomed in same area as other guests as they yell up and down the corridor and loudly visit each others rooms in middle of the night. Front door VERY difficult to open.

Portland’s Paramount is walking distance to shopping, entertainment and restaurants, but my husband had surgery at OHSU, so for me, after a day visiting him, everything I needed was in the hotel property. There’s a breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant, as well as a bar with meal service. the rooms are comfortable and well appointed, beds are fabulous, rooms are quiet. The staff, including valets, are wonderful! I cannot say enough about them. How does a valet remember me after nearly a year? it’s lovely to see familiar faces at the front desk when I arrive. I really have no desire to stay anywhere else.

not one thing.

This was a lovely hotel. Upon check in we were immediately greeted by the young man at the valet parking booth who offered to help with the bags and advised us of the parking options available. The front desk staff greeted us with a smile and a welcome to the Paramount, and check in was quick. The room was very nice, large and clean. The restaurant was nice and food was good and priced about what you would expect.

Parking cost us $49 US per day which added about $200 for a 4 night stay, with tips on top of that each time we called for the car, and parked it again. The other option was taking your chances at a nearby parking garage which charges each time you go in and out, and if it's full, you end up parking two blocks away. Not very convenient. The service in the restaurant could have been better. The person who seated us and poured waters spilled water on the table, a puddle about the size of a hand, and we presumed she would be back to dry it up - not so. Our server came to take our order, looked at the water and also did nothing to dry it up. Not the service you would expect from a high-end hotel. Location was ok but not much within walking distance.

We loved the location, right in the centre of Portland, and the kind and helpfull staff that gave us tips on places to visit. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the valet service was excellent and left us without worry for pur car.

I overall really enjoyed my stay, but the view from our window straight to the roof of a parking a garage was a little dissapointing. Of course I realize that that is something the hotel really can't change so it wasn't that big of a deal.

The valet and Earl on the front desk were AWESOME. The room was spacious and clean, beds very comfortable and nice and quiet. The location of the hotel was perfect. We also had some great cocktails and food in the bar, and the bartender's were likewise awesome.

Only very small thing that would have been great would be a water station on the floor we were on, but wasn't much of an issue that there wasn't.
