We stayed in the Earl container. It was the perfect size for the two of us and our dog. The site is very conveniently located just outside of Hickory Run State Park, so we made sure to take in some of the sites there such as Hawk Falls and the Boulder Field. It's also about 20 minutes from Jim Thorpe which was the main reason for our trip. The on-site restaurant was amazing. I don't think it's open every day, but when we went all the food was delicious.

The actual bed wasn't very comfortable and we were only provided with one fleece blanket, so we would recommend maybe adding a memory foam mattress topper and either providing more blankets or letting visitors know in advance to bring their own. Also, one one of the days, at 8am, some kind of work was started outside and it was a bit noisy for those that wanted to sleep in.

Camptel is a really cool place, unlike anywhere else I've ever stayed. It's not really a hotel or motel, it's kind of a "camping experience" in a wooded area except that instead of a tent or RV, you stay in your very own mini-suite constructed from a shipping container. The bedroom is at one end and there's a small living room/kitchen in the other complete with a sink, microwave, coffee maker and a very nice-sized fridge.

There are not a lot of good restaurants nearby, and the only nearby grocery store closes at 5 pm every day (although you can get dry food goods at the Dollar General until 8 pm or so). And you really can't cook food easily there - and you are warned about the very real possibility of a bear visiting the campground. DO NOT leave any food or trash outside ever!!! Bring your own bread, lunchmeat, snacks, beer, and drink mixers etc., and be prepared for the possibility that you might be eating subs or pizza for dinner. Also bring your own coffee, they provide some but it's really not quite enough for two people.

The tiny homes are new and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful at times. My son loved the large Chess game and they have hot tubs and paintball.

When we ran out of propane at 8pm and called and texted the front desk no one responded. The campground leaves pamphlets about what to do if a bear approaches yet no one was there if an emergency occurred. Tiny home was on tires and one was flat therefore the hole unit was leaning which led to an uncomfortable sleep. It is a very small new campground still in development so lots of constructions around.

It was extremely clean and the units are all up to date and very nice. we stayed in the 420 Container House and it was perfect for us! They have literally everything you need for your stay. Dave at the front desk was awesome! It's also very close to everything in Hickory Park. Will definitely be back soon!

The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the restaurant there. The breakfast was ok. You get so much food that my husband and I shared but they only had one breakfast for $16. There was no other options.

My son and I stayed in Sunshine. It was a unique experience that did not disappoint. It is a short drive into Jim Thorpe which is wonderful as we went on a 25 mile bike ride out of Jim Thorpe and spent a couple days exploring the Jim Thorpe town and surrounding area. It was very peaceful and relaxing at Camptel, Sunshine was a great camper. We enjoyed the fire pit, gym, and sauna as well. We will definitely be back! Only complaint and definitely not a deal breaker was that the hot tubs were not very hot so we did not get to enjoy them but we were not there for the hot tubs anyway.

The beautiful nature setting. The fact you could get dinner on site at a beautiful relaxing bar/restaurant with great food. The cleanliness of the units. The accomadating staff.. The hot tub units are adorable and can provide a very romantic setting. Charcoal grill at unit and several gas grills for use in a community setting. It was quiet and relaxing with a distressing atmosphere.. Very close to Nascar track.

Nothing. It just appeared they were doing some maintenance on some landscaping.

The staff, location & the cabin itself was all excellent. I honestly can say that this was the best cabin we stayed so far. We do love that the staff was all accommodating, they do went with us to show our cabin, showed where we can find some particular button to have our stay more comfortable, We love that the griller, fire pit, bonfire is just right outside the cabin, giving you an easy access with all that with some privacy, we don’t have to share it to other renters as we do all have it all. It is perfect for all group friends or couple wanted to have a great staycation. Definitely RECOMMENDED! 5 star!!

I loved how Unique it was… my first time staying in a small house… I thought it was vey unique and different!

I didn’t like the location as far as trails and hikes it was fine but any other options we had to travel a distance especially for snow tubing we had the option of camelback but the prices were way too high.. the stores were a drive as well but there was a dollar tree that I frequented a lot while there… for little things like snacks.. I did have to buy more wash clothes because the facility only provided one..

Everything! Amazing experience and will be returning with the family!!! Cozy and comfy lodge, quiet location, fire pit and propane tank included, fully functional amenities. Customer service was 10/10. Jessica and Jerry are superstars in this industry.

Hot tub wasn’t working but they tried for two days to get it fixed and their resilience and communication was amazing. They are still in their soft opening phase so you gotta forgive the little hiccups and believe me, literally 99% of everything else about the experience was perfect.

Loved each cabin and theme, out door hot tubs, bar option for a chill night, and staff was extremely friendly. Very clean.

Nothing to complain about. I am a huge fan of Camptel! I will definitely be back and tell everyone I know. Loved the on-site team in the canteen and in the grounds. Friendly and accommodating! Would have been AMAZING if there was a kitchen (all day breakfast menu, maybe a burger, vegg option, simple). Music playing in cafe, not live but just something in background… light like grizzly bear, war on drugs, fleet foxes, bon iver, band of horses type vibe..
