Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center

The pool was nice and warm.

I paid extra for a late check out which made it 4:00p.m for my check out time, the front desk person knew this. He knocked on my hotel door at 2:45p.m (which woke my sleeping toddler up from her nap) telling me that I needed to start getting ready to leave so the maid could clean the room. I than told him I would be out at 4:00p.m which was an hour and 15 mins later. If I paid extra money to stay longer than I'm not leaving until it was time. He was very rude and unprofessional!

The staff was super friendly and made for a great visit. From Kathy at the front desk who started our visit off. What a quick wit, we had a funny conversation that left us both laughing. Then the lovely older lady who prepares the breakfast, she's been there for a number of years and really made for a nice visit. The breakfast buffet was great by the way. The building is currently undergoing extensive renovations but they didn't affect us at all. The heated pool has been updated and is very nice, hot tub was closed however. On site restaurant with easy room service made some great grub, pizza, salads, tater skins and such. A really nice plus. The location is great, just a 3 or 4 miles from downtown gettysburg and minutes south of the battlefield/cemetery. These few minutes will save you hundreds per night from the hotels in town, well worth it. Beds & pillows were as comfy as Disney resorts, no kidding. Overall the place is great, it's dated as it was built in the 70's, but the renovations I saw are really nice and I expect a totally fresh look when I return, and I intend to return. Thanks!

If I had to enter something I didn't like, I guess it would be the overall finish in our room, 132. Everything functioned fine, but it did have a roughness to it as things had been repaired over the years. Little grungy carpet corners, wall patching, dated materials. But it was clean overall and functional.

Not much of anything .

Food wasn’t very good in the morning or at the bar . Gift shop isn’t open everyday. Fitness center was nonexistent. Courtyard in the center of the hotel was in disrepair an unusable . Parking lot is in need of repair as is most everything. Everything is to spread out. It’s 2 hotels under one roof. I’m sure it was spectacular at one time , years ago. Could be nice again with the right owner and staff.

We travel to Gettysburg several times per month and stay at various hotels and bed and breakfast. First time at the Eisenhower property. I read many mixed reviews, but gave it a shot because I was traveling with children and the pool was a plus. Yes, the facility could use some paint and repair... but so does my home. (Joke) lets keep in mind that this is a costly project and the pandemic caused great loss of revenue. Soooo. There was a terrible storm, caused a power outage, and some unhappy campers. I on the other hand had great fun with the staff and other guests. Poof... power returned. The hotel staff was friendly, our room clean, great FREE breakfast, comfortable .. I'll return.

The pool and the friendly staff. Penny and Cathy were very helpful and accommodating with our stay. The breakfast was good. The location. Stayed here in April 2022 will be back in April of 2023 for the Gettysburg half marathon.

The construction and the keys for the outside doors didn't work. The gym equipment is old and doesn't work. Did not like that the room was not cleaned and did not have fresh towels. We stayed 3 days. The shower and bed were all new. We last stayed here in April of 2022.

We go to this hotel often. There has been some improvement lately. We stayed in one of the updated rooms. Raj at the front desk is awesome. He was very helpful. Breakfast is always good and the rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable.

I think that checkout should be at noon. Stalls in mens bathroom should be bigger. Hallways to the rooms could be cleaner and updated. The crazy 80's outdated carpet in the hallways need to go!

It seems COVID had shut this place down for the last few years and they are putting a lot of money and time into rehabbing it. I believe we might have been the only people staying here during the week... It was awesome to have the place to ourselves. Rooms were clean and nice, ac worked great and even though it's out of town a few miles, you get to ride through the battlefield everytime you go into town. Pool area was awesome. We will stay here again when we come back.

Like I said they are doing a lot of remodeling and refurbishing... But they didn't start work until 8 and we hardly noticed it. I think in once they have the work complete it will be a great stay.

For the price the Eisenhower is a good deal. They have been fixing up this old hotel and it is getting better. Staff is nice.

A few things that need improved is the hall carpet , add some bread and toaster to breakfast along with a 2nd waffle iron . My freezer was frozen and the ice stopped the door from sealing. This would melt the ice making the carpet wet. Always a problem getting washcloths. But we like the place have stayed 5 or 6 times.

The property was peaceful and welcoming but also had a ‘fun’ vibe. The best things about the property for me were that the room was spacious enough that two adults and three children were able to relax and the pool area was in a large atrium type room with a relaxing atmosphere so the kids could play and adults could unwind at the end of the day.

I can’t think of anything

this was perfect having all the amenities if you don’t want to drive around as it snows. the restaurant/bar was very good (shocked at the low price of IPA in comparison to Baltimore) and the mini shop to get pain relief from all day snowboarding from Liberty mountain.

Distance to Liberty Mountain is not bad but the route to it is through beautiful scenic farmlands unfortunately we were conscious on the steep climbs knowing it will be covered in snow and may not be plowed. we chose a longer route staying at the main artery. Being in Gettysburg we expect we didn’t find any ghosts but the staff was very friendly….or were they?
