Wyndham Gettysburg

The breakfast was good. More bread choices would’ve been nice.

I was disappointed there wasn’t a refrigerator in the room. My husband has diabetic supplies that needed refrigeration.

The hotel was extremely clean and in a good location. No noise or anything at all with surrounding traffic. The room was a very big size and had plenty of room for our group to not feel cramped in.

None of the rooms at this hotel for more than 4 people, we requested 6 through booking.com. But there are only max of two beds in any room. Staff told me that’s the way booking.com works sometime. We asked for a rollaway which they gave to us at no charge so that was very nice. But beware- 4 people max to a room unless you get a twin rollaway bed.

Great overnight in Gettysburg. The hotel was close to everything we wanted to see. We had a great breakfast and used the pool before leaving. The pool had extra towels for us to use going back to our room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave us good information to see and do all we wanted while there for our brief stay. Most POSITIVE was it was quiet at night. I didn't hear any elevator noise or other room's doors opening and closing. We slept WONDERFULLY!

It is a big hotel with lots to keep up. There wasn't anything dirty but it had a little wear and tear. Nothing that ruined anything we wanted to do while there.

Even though this property is located adjacent to the Highway, it is set far enough back to where road noise isn’t an issue. It is located next to restaurants and a movie theater in a very pretty location. My wife loved the area. It was her first trip to Gettysburg.

The staff was wonderful! Answered all of our questions and quick to help if we needed anything. The location is so close to downtown it was wonderful to enjoy the amenities of downtown yet be able to go back to the hotel and enjoy the pool/bar/restaurant area.

Unfortunately, we stayed on a holiday weekend where there was a wedding going on. Even though we were on the 4th floor we were still able to hear the sounds of the wedding into the night. This is certainly the risk you take when staying at a location with banquet facilities.

The location was great and the hotel was beautiful! The rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and the pool area was nice.

The breakfast was supposed to be a la carte but ended up being a buffet instead. It was good but it could have been a lot better. The options were very slim and the food wasn’t very hot. They should be able to offer off the menu since it’s a restaurant. I would give it a 4 out of 10.

They had this Convention “ Monster Feature Week” and we never seen this on the website of the hotel or Priceline. We would’ve chosen different dates if we were aware of this event taking place during our stay. Also the heater for the pool was not working and during winter us very much needed but the pool is beautiful.

Check-in was quick and easy. All hotel staff that we encountered were extremely polite. The room was neat and tidy upon arrival. This is a beautiful hotel. We look forward to coming back again in the future.

Although everything else was excellent, including service and appearance, the actual bed in the hotel room we had was not very comfortable. We could feel the springs when we first sat on the bed. My husband ended up sleeping most of the night sitting up in the chair.

It was very clean and relaxing. It was exactly what we needed for the weekend to get away and relax! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub a long with the gym as well!

I would have to say if there was one thing I didn’t like I would say that breakfast was not included in our stay. It was $15 for each adult which we found a little pricey considering we spent $600 for the weekend to be there. Also, the mattress was very firm and it had a topper but it didn’t really do much justice.

The staff was wonderful! I was happy to see the restaurant and bar was open--service was great with a good selection of food. All of the people who worked there--front desk, wait staff, receptionist, housekeeping--were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. We were staying there so we could participate in a triathlon about half an hour up the road and while I would have preferred to be closer to the park, I could not have asked for a better place to stay. Will stay there again if in the area.

Maybe if the restaurant/bar had been open longer hours.
