The location was wonderful, it was within walking distance to many amenities and transportation; nearby parking garages; and the neighborhood felt safe. The building was clean and secure, it felt comfortable and home like. The room had a great layout, was spacious, and was stocked with enough towels, soap, kitchen supplies to last the weekend. Appliances were clean and worked well. Tons of storage space in the closets. The Sonder app works really well to stay on top of everything.

Some of the lights didn't work in the rooms, many of the room/bathroom doors (interior to the unit) didn't lock or shut properly. One bathroom sink drain overflow was kind of funky. Would have been nice to have a loading/unloading area in the street somewhere since there was no parking (but it is what it is). Some of the email notifications were confusing, but using the app was probably the best way to stay on top of a reservation.

Excellent location. Spacious apartment. The washer and dryer in the unit were particularly convenient to have and important for us. Everything was impressively clean and instructions for accessing the building and apartment were very easy to follow through the Sonder app. Staff we ran into were friendly. The building was quiet.

Didn’t realize the elevated expressway was close to the building which created car noise. This wasn’t an issue for us but could be for others not accustomed to city sounds. More importantly, would have liked a privacy shade over the door leading to the balcony.

the property had everything I needed, the complimentary toiletries were expected but I was pleasantly surprised to even find laundry detergent and tablets for the dishwasher. very modern studio apartment in a nice area

the bed was very uncomfortable, the bed frame is metal so was squeaky, and the mattress was uncomfortable. very loud with traffic at night so I didn’t sleep very well. used the storage lockers for my luggage when I checked out as my flight wasn’t until the evening, when i tried to collect my luggage the locker wouldn’t accept my code so I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone asking for help to retrieve my belongings.

The self check-in and check-out processes were super smooth. Everything from the hotel lobby to the rooms were very clean and well furnished. It was very inviting and comforting. The attention to detail in the supplies in the rooms was incredibly good. Although we didn't have any personal interactions with the Sonder employees, the employee handling an unreasonable and rude guest the morning of our check-out was very patient and handled the situation well.

Sonder did not promptly respond to a request on how to clear the drain in one of the washrooms. There is no parking available on property. The garage across the street is quite expensive, but there aren't many other convenient options. There is also no proper space for stopping your vehicle to unload your luggage.

This location on Race street is fantastic. It is an easy walk to many of the historic attractions of Philly as well as many nice shops, cafes, and restaurants. The studio apartment was well designed and looked great. Everything work and the balcony was a nice bonus.

I would have like it better if I could have checked in early. Sonder uses a contactless system where all communications are run through customer service on their app. It was fine but a little cumbersome to put in an early in request and then it took a while to get an answer. When they turned down my original requested time, I was not able to make an additional request through the app but had to text them. At that point, I asked them what was the earliest I could check in but they couldn't really give me an answer. It was a minor hiccup in an otherwise fantastic experience. I would definitely stay here again in spite of this.

The apartment's location is excellent, close to all historical attractions and just a few blocks away to Chinatown and city center. The two bedrooms unit we stayed had everything we needed. The unit looks very new and clean. If you have a car, you can either park in the Old City Parking garage just across the street ($35 for 24 hrs) or two blocks away in the Constitution Center parking garage ($23 for 24 hrs).

Property was so nice. From the easy to follow self check-in, to the fantastic unit with tons of amenities, we were extremely happy with our first time staying at a Sonder. Location was great. Beds comfortable. The super windows kept the street noise at zero!! fantastic place!!! bonus, Old City parking was across the street. A little pricey, but it’s convenient and the car was ready and waiting for me at the time I requested.

Having read quite mixed reviews I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived for a three night stay over New Year, and was pleasantly surprised. The one bedroom apartment was modern and clean, well designed and of a good size. The location was great. Key pick was contactless and we followed the instructions with no problems. The TV doesn't have a cable package but allows you to chromecast - this again suited us down to the ground though I can imagine that if my parents had stayed they wouldn't have liked that!

There was nothing which caused us any kind of a problem so this is the type of thing which made it an 8/10 rather than 10/10 and certainly didn't detract for our time there. As others have noted the block is near the railway lines so you can hear trains go past - I didn't feel they were so loud as to wake us or that we couldn't hear each other or the TV! Additionally the water temp - it is warm when you shower but you definitely wouldn't call it hot. Does mean if you want to take a bath it doesn't get to temperature.

I was super impressed with this place. I booked it for my son and me for 4 days in Philly. I wanted somewhere close to everything since I was planning to walk everywhere. I liked having a fridge to store my water and some snacks and a washing machine/dryer!

There were a few things that needed some repair work, but nothing crazy and nothing that was super noticeable.
