It was clean and quiet. I was able to get the rest I needed

The girl working the breakfast area 7/19 could have done a better job showing another family how to use the waffle maker. They seemed confused and she was worried about arranging muffins or going in the back for something. Another guest was trying to get water from the empty pitcher and she commented “well someone unscrewed this” and the guest said “I did to try to get water…can you just refill this?” And she did. But I felt like she was good at stocking stuff but not interested in helping or explaining. She said “juice is over on the other side”. Well the juice was in a completely separate room…how were they supposed to find that??! She was friendly but had her own agenda of tasks.

The feel was home away from home. Five stars for the spacious room, hot water shower, coffee machine, microwave and fridge.. Five stars to Becca who with her sweet voice repeatedly said “all good there” “do you need any help?” “30 seconds in the microwave dear” throughout the breakfast sessions. Always willing to make your breakfast experience the best. Excellent service from reception staff Melissa, Betty, Kim and the other beautiful ladies. Ben and the entire housekeeping. Bonus points for the laundry room on the 3rd floor. You see why I called it home away from home… ***** best experience. Second time staying at Sleep Inn in Dec 2022, no less of a beautiful experience with the Christmas cheer. Stayed 15 days of the cold winter in this warm place not just the building and heaters within but the warmth from the people that run the show day in and day out. Melissa, Kim, Betty, Alice, Martha, Ben and my favorite Becca. Thank you for a memorable stay.. see you all again soon.

Appreciated the location halfway between Penn State and the freeway with large shops toward the outskirts. Walking distance to campus if you are up for the 1 mile walk. 1 1/2 to the main street of the village. Good restaurants down in the village. Also found some good hiking in the hills surrounding Penn State - you have to ask around.

Thought it was just a bit overpriced, but it is near the University and I suppose the demand is high. Few people were there though compared to the high season.

The hotel room was beautiful and had a very spacious bathroom in it. Bed was somewhat firm but I was able to sleep. I loved the proximity to get to everywhere I needed to go while in State College. I definitely plan on staying there again - just not at game time due to the inflated pricing.

The bathroom shower was very ADA, and that's fine, but I am tall and the shower lost some room to it. I guess I'd use the word "clunky" but it was a nice bathroom. Also, the noise of other stayers was easy to hear. I could hear people pacing and walking heavy on the floor above or slamming doors. I must also mention that due to the game the price was way higher than it would be on a normal day.

The professional staff. Betty was very helpful. The location was great and very convenient. The room had a stale smell initially. Betty put ian ionizer in our room while we were at dinner and that helped a lot. Breakfast was decent.

Smell in room initially. This was addressed by the staff to an acceptable level.

The complimentary breakfast is plentiful and nutritious. I especially love making my own waffles!

The cabinet for the microwave and refrigerator were a little close to the bed. The door to the refrigerator could not be opened all the way. Perhaps the bed could be positioned farther to the left, if facing the headboard, so as to make room to open the refrigerator and microwave.

Despite Covid restrictions, breakfast choices were varied. You could have hot cereal or breakfast sandwiches from the microwave, or cold cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juices, milk, coffee or tea. Actually more than I expected.

I had a Zoom business meeting in the evening and guests in the hallway were so noisy I had to keep myself muted most of the time. I'm not sure the staff could have done anything about that, but I was surprised hotel guests were that noisy so early in the evening - before they'd had time to "party".

The breakfast area was too small to sit - so we skipped the breakfast since it was too crowded.

The check in lady was training so it was a little slow getting checked in, but overall everyone was very nice and accommodating. They provided complimentary water and the rooms were very comfortable.

The staff was excellent from the front desk to the breakfast attendant in the morning. They are what set you apart from your competition.

The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but we don't spend much time in the room. It was clean with great water pressure in the shower which more than makes up for the size of the room in my opinion.

The sleep in is in agreat location to get to Penn State University. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are very clean. The beds super comfortable.

It could use some updates. I think it was a little expensive for a 3 star hotel. I know that is what happens at Penn State.
