Me and my husband want to give special recognition in this review to our host Michael Moose who assisted us in absolutely everything we needed during our stay in this wonderful place in an efficient, polite, friendly and caring way, he made us feel more than friends as a family, we want to say thank you infinitely and publicly, great hotel comfortable, clean, in an excellent location, beautiful landscapes, many places to go, but this would have been nothing without Michael's attention, thank you

Location was great for us. Not a far drive to Badlands, Caves, devils tower or Deadwood. We actually enjoyed the drives and the scenery. Lots of hiking around here. The staff was helpful and friendly.
If I had to do work I'd say the lack of stable connection to the internet. But overall I'm glad it wasn't because it forced me to enjoy the things I came up here to enjoy.

Beds were extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. The room was good a size, and parking was right outside the room, making it very easy to load/unload. Staff was very friendly and had recommendations on dining and attraction information. Motel is located where Mt Rushmore can be seen from the parking lot, an unexpected perk.
Nothing available for breakfast. One day the water coming from the faucet was yellow and smelled odd. The next day it was normal again.

A great value and room. Staff member Christine was awesome. Very helpful. Always upbeat and smiling.
Advertising of breakfast and then stating (after the room is booked) that it was not being continued (or rooms cleaned) because of Covid. It's time to stop using that excuse and just tell the truth - or better yet, stop advertising one thing and then providing another. It was a great place and price without the breakfast. Just leave it at that.

Everything was great. The location could not be beat. The staff was very helpful in pointing us in directions of attractions that we were interested in. There was 4 of us total and I thought we would be fine with 2 full beds but my family wasnt happy about it. So I went and asked for a rollaway bed but instead of the rollaway they just comped us the room next door. They were fantastic and very friendly about it all. The kindness they showed will not be forgotten and is very much appreciated

Staff was friendly and helpful when we required information regarding local sightseeing. Location was within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We enjoyed eating breakfast everyday at Peggy's restaurant located just across the parking area outside of the hotel. Chose to stay in Keystone and travel to Black Hills, Badlands, Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Sylvan Lake, Tatanka (tribute to bison), and museums that were a short drives from other attractions. Keystone worked nicely as our base for travel to surrounding area attractions.
Wasn't aware that rooms are not cleaned daily for long term stay. I should have looked at hotel ammenities before booking. Able to exchange towels for fresh at front desk. We placed full wastebasket bags outside of hotel room door to be picked up by staff and request new bags for wastebaskets at desk.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating. When I booked the room, I requested and upper level room. They had me on the ground floor and she immediately looked into and remedied the situation. I ended up on the second floor, which is more to my liking. Even though this is a Motel, with room access on the exterior, they had an elevator as well.
The room was musty smelling, could have used some airing out. I opened the window, intending on airing it out, but the screen was insufficient to keep out the bugs. Also the window did not lock, when closed. However, I didn't notice the smell after awhile. The one light in the shower/toilet area also turned on the fan. The fan was so loud, I have an aversion to loud noises, I just left it off and used the light from the adjoining sink area.

Clean, cool room. Outside temperature was 100 degrees so we appreciated the working air! We were able to park right outside our room. Quiet and comfortable. Owner/manager was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
Calling it a room with a view of Mt Rushmore is a stretch to say the least.

The location was perfect. It was close to Mt Rushmore. Being able to view the monument from the parking lot was neat. From the motel’s ad it looked like we’d have a view from our room but that's impossible. It was also very convenient to the Borglum museum, our tour bus and shopping.
Had to get a first-floor room to have a fridge. Thought we’d have a room with a view so that was misleading.

Great location. The room was clean but it’s an older property so don’t expect any fancy amenities. It’s to sleep & shower. Ice machine on property & coffee in the lobby was hot & good. They clean your room at the end of your stay.
No fridge in room
