The Brookside Motel / Mt. Rushmore

Location was perfect. Within walking distance to attractions. Very nice people, accommodating when needed something. I really enjoyed our stay, room was nice size and the brook out sliding door was nice.

Taking into consideration that it was a very busy weekend, I would recommend fixing the refrigerator, making sure the floors are mopped more frequently. Leave directions how to work the shower head and tv.

Sam went out of his way to accommodate us with any requests we had. The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable, shower had plenty of hot water, we had a room with no steps to get to it as we had requested, and Sam was very helpful with suggestions.

A little more cleaning/dusting of furniture and fan blades and general maintenance of facility (window locks, toilet seat tightening, outside area) would help.

The location was great. It was quiet and far enough from the main drag, but close enough to Mt. Rushmore. The staff was great! Not sure if it was the owner's son who checked us in, but he did a great job! The bed was very comfy! I wish I would have had more time there to sit outside in the chairs on the deck.

The only thing that my husband complained about was the shortness of the shower head and he is an average height.

The location is very good easy to get in and out. The staff was easy to talk to, They provided good room services such as replacing towels and emptying trash when asked.

Was only 1 thing that was a slight problem There were some gnats in the room. I'm not complaining It's one of the things thats hard to control

The hospitality was excellent. Wonderful family. It was our 40th anniversary and the owner gave us wine and cheese as a gift.

Shower was small.

Very clean.

Some very noisy young girls were constantly running up and down the balcony and sidewalks around the hotel for several hours. I think they might live at the facility.

Location was excellent with a short walk to the front porch restaurant and other town attractions. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch listening to the birds. Everyone was friendly and helpful!

Great for individuals who are comfortable with a budget hotel.

It was a confortable stay, breakfast and coffee was good. Staff was nice and friendly. A walk from the nice town of Keystone and super close to Mount Rushmore.

The place needs an update ASAP. Rugs were stain and bathroom had an odd smell. For the price of $150 a night it shouldn’t be that way but I understand why since it is located in a tourist area.

Nice large room. Breakfast was good and well stocked, just everything was cold and made ahead and needed to be warmed in the microwave.

We were on the second floor and the stairs and deck are in need of repair. Lots of boards are loose and the railing needs to be secured. The whole structure was wabbling a lot when walking on it.

We love the place itself and the views surrounding it.

We are sad the pool that we used to use for many many years is just left in the lot decaying and unused. The rooms are starting to fall apart from lack of fixing little things.. the place we have loved for 25 years is starting go fall apart under new ownership. It's sad to watch
