The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of the downtown area. There is ample parking space. The staff were polite and helpful and gave us an early check in. We had a suite with separate sitting room and bedroom. There was more than enough space for a couple. The room had a pleasant view over a park, was quiet and had comfortable beds. We slept well. There were adequate, reasonable quality, towels. The kitchenette was useful. We rated the hotel at 4 star standard.

The kitchenette could be better equipped. Some cutlery, crockery, a kettle and a toaster would have been helpful. The room was expensive, but this is probably a consequence of inflation and exchange rate deterioration.

Besides being very clean, warmly decorated-the staff was very helpful---I haven't had this friendly competent and gracious a staff at a hotel in a couple of years--I travel quite a bit and I usually stay 4-5 star so these people are excellent. the pool was a big hit for my grandkids every night. the restaurant and morning buffet was excellent.

Everything was very very nice. Even the temperature was easily controlled, the laundry room was clean and working well.

The pool was just “okay” The front desk staff must have been overworked because the young man (the only one at the front desk) was really struggling, seemed overwhelmed, and pretty rude to most of the people that came up there, and rude to other coworkers. The park nearby was a bit sketchy; we felt unsafe a few times.

It was perfect location for a concert at the monument. We were able to just walk over and walk back. The rooms were clean though there was some spotting on the side of the chair in the room.

If you get motion sickness or get the spins easy this isn’t the one for you. I guess my eyes are sensitive because I couldn’t walk next to the railing while looking over in the middle without getting immediately sick. It was also pretty expensive for what we got. But getting a drink coupon and free breakfast tickets was pretty nice!

On site restaurant was great! Sorta high cost, but quality was very high. Food was great, and even the sides were good. Hotel had an ok sized pool, and a fitness center with plenty of equipment.

Commissary was fairly expensive. Paid $2.50 for a 16.9oz bottle of water, and the hotel had little in the way of drinking fountains or even a water machine. They gave two “free” bottles “with the room”, but had no drinking fountains other than a small water cooler in the workout room. Additionally, the only vending machines (which sold a 20oz bottle of the same brand of water for $1.75) only took cash. There was an on-site ATM that of course had a fee, so naturally it would have cost more just to use the vending machine instead…

The airport shuttle was the main reason for selecting the hotel. As a bonus, the food was good, and the building was spectacular.

We were given a room on the second floor with workmen working on the building facade right outside our window. Our outbound trip was disrupted by a delayed flight that caused us to miss our connection to Rapid City. I called to cancel the reservation and the hotel said there would be no problem returning our deposit, but the request had to come from Booking.com. Calling Booking.com and getting them to contact the hotel took three or four iterations, including checking with the hotel to see if the request had come in. This consumed much of my limited spare time during the trip and required my waiting on hold while the two principals talked with each other. Very awkward.

Great location, close to everything. Breakfast buffet was AMAZING! Actual great food in a hotel is hard to come by!

For such a nice hotel with a very nice lobby and lounge areas, the rooms are a little dated. The carpets were riddled with stains of an unknown substance which was less than desirable and off putting.

The breakfast was wonderful. The staff cannot be beat. They treat people like they really do care about making your stay a great experience. We stay at the Holiday Inn Rushmore Plaza every year for the Sturgis.

I can honestly say, nothing!

The pool area was stocked and comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean. The elevators gave a beautiful view of the gorgeous hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful during all hours. Parking was pretty easy.

The wifi was really slow. The elevators smelt like marijuana pretty bad but that's mostly a problem with guests. The pull-out couch in the room was broken BUT staff got us a replacement bed, free of charge, that was delivered immediately.

Didn't have breakfast.

The staff didn't provide me with an invoice, and there was some cashiers that were very rude and had bad attitudes. And they keep telling me that i cannot still get an invoice.
