Central location. I liked having a separate bedroom. There was a full refrigerator, dishwasher, small stovetop, dishes, and a few pans. Air conditioning worked well. Curtains were heavy enough to keep light out in the morning. Room was very clean. There were two TVs. One in the sitting area and one in the bedroom. They were both large flat screens. Complementary breakfast was nice. They had some pastries, bagels, muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs, sausage and biscuits, waffle maker, juice, cereal, and yogurt. Breakfast goes until 10 AM which is nice. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant. They do not enter your room to clean. If you need more towels, you just put your basket outside the door with the dirty ones. You can also ask for anything else you need.

This isn’t a huge deal, but I was looking forward to having a sofa bed in case I needed to get away from the snoring in the bedroom. The sofa bed is probably what I should’ve expected. Very thin mattress. It would not have been comfortable for an adult to sleep on. Not the end of the world as I brought earplugs and that worked just fine. If you do plan to use the sofa bed, you will need to ask for sheets and a blanket. There were several extra pillows in the cabinet.

Clean and spacious hallways and lobby as well as breakfast area. We were given a different suite the second night and it was great. Everything worked and we enjoyed the short amount of time that was left.

First night’s stay in suite was depressing. The main tv didn’t have power. Water was leaking from somewhere in the kitchen area. The bathtub water faucet had a steady leak that you couldn’t turn off. When we tried to leave the room the inside handle fell off. Kitchen overhead light needed replacing had an almost constant blinking going on.

Breakfast was ok. Room was comfortable. Booking.com did not reserve the room that I had paid for from their website. The hotel was full, but the staff managed to get my family into a room that had enough sleeping space for my family.

Booking.com messed up my reservation and did nothing to help remedy the situation. Next time I will book directly with the hotel.

I liked the full sized fridge and the room separate from the living and dining area

I didn’t like the morning staff she kept saying “That’s why you do not book through a third party.” Like it was my fault, for booking a good deal and finding out way later that I could have price matched. Also could not get in touch with the manager she was always in a meeting but was readily available when I got booking.com rep to speak with them.

Pretty much everything about our stay was good. The room was clean and you can tell the facility is well-maintained. Had it been run down, dirty, no amenities; it still would have been a great experience because of the staff. Hands down excellent!

The only air circulation was a window that opened 3 inches so the room got a bit stuffy.

We enjoy staying here because of the kitchenettes in the rooms. It was plenty of space for my family of 5. Hot breakfast downstairs was great! Within walking distance to Ihop, Kohls, gas stations, Hardeez and other places. Right off the interstate was great as well.

Didn't like that the hot tub was dirty and stinky.

I was surprised that there was a full dishwasher, clean dishes for me to use. I loved the suite design and the separate bedroom I got.

The first room that I got didn’t have a working heater, so I was probably transferred to another room where everything was working fine. The area around the TV was a little dusty but otherwise everything else was fine.

Great location, just off the I-90 and near a large shopping mall. You'll have to drive to get to the historic area though. Includes a breakfast.

The cutlery was old and mismatched and could do with changing. No tin opener and the coffee machine was broken.

The hotel was close to the interstate making it easy to get to all of the attractions very easy. it has an outdoor area behind the building that you can use to run around or just sit in the patio. The breakfast was your basic hotel breakfast with oatmeal, cereal, waffles, etc. We liked having a separate room from the kids in our room and the main area was big enough for a air mattress so our kids didn’t have to sleep together on the pull out couch. The full size refrigerator was nice to have.

The room looked bigger in the pictures and the mattress on the bed needed to be replaced as my wife and I keep rolling to the middle through out the night.

Safety is a huge concern these days and this property goes above and beyond to provide its guests with safety. Have always loved this property and will forever choose the GrandStay when staying in Rapid City!

Getting any later of a checkout than 12pm is next to impossible.
