Holiday Inn Express Athens, an IHG Hotel

The facility was very clean and looked new. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The night staff was very friendly and handled the fire alarm going off at 2:30 am well. I will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was not great. Holiday Inn usually has a really good breakfast, however, this facility's stove & oven were not working. There was no sausage or bacon. They had sausage gravy, biscuits & eggs. On the last day there wasn't even biscuits, gravy or eggs. I hope they are able to get the equipment in working order soon. This is the only complaint I have with this facility.

Breakfast was fantastic. Always a great selection. Food fully stocked. My son was fascinated with the pancake machine! The room was really nice. Love that there was a soft and firm pillow for each spot so you could choose which you liked better. Lots of lighting and storage for clothes. The receptionists were all incredibly friendly, as was the cleaning staff. They would set up my son’s animals in the bed, and it made him so happy! Pool area was really nice, we were the only ones ever in it! But the water was pretty nice. By far, the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at!

I would’ve preferred the pool water to be a little warmer for the time of year we visited (November).

Very very clean throughout the hotel and the rooms were very clean as well. Breakfast was excellent. Very spacious rooms. Check in and check out easy and fast. Staff was all very friendly and nice. We will def be staying at Holiday Inns from now on.

The only issue was the hotel now has actual bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash locked in the shower. They were pretty much empty when we arrived. Not a huge issue just an inconvenience that was solved. We also booked the double queen room with the pullout sofa. Unfortunately, that room was not available when we arrived. Not the hotels fault, but the app I used which was booking.com. The hotel put us in a double queen room with no sofa which was good enough for the 2 nights we stayed. We had one child who had to sleep on the floor, but that was better than not having a room at all. Beds weren't the most comfortable but they weren't terrible either and the pillows were not good at all. I recommend bringing your own pillow.

The location is right off the highway. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The whole establishment was not only clean, it even smelled clean. The breakfast was a full hot breakfast just like before the pandemic and was hot and tasty. Misty checked me in and was knowledgeable about the area and was very nice! It was a great value and I highly recommend it.

I can not say anything negative about this establishment.

We liked the availability of the hotel and the area. The cleaning and the staff was Uber friendly and very attentive.

Would liked more of a variety for breakfast, Instead of the same thing as previous day. But all in all it was good

Booked the Stay with Booking.com and paid online. Attendant asked for my credit card to verify it ?????, She then made a second charge. She said the manager would take care of the problem in the morning. Spoke to manager didn’t know anything about it. Still waiting. They need to train this employee. She was more intent on getting outside and smoking then doing her job properly.

The hotel was clean inside and out. The rooms were big, clean, comfortable and affordable. The staff was very polite, kind and accommodating . The breakfast had a variety to choose from. Everything was delicious and fresh

Hallway kind of smelled like pets. Like they had dogs in the rooms. Musty smelling. Otherwise good in our room.

I was sooooo impressed by ALL staff, rooms & breakfast that I will never go to another hotel unless its a Holiday Inn!! Can't thank you all enough for such a comfortable & peaceful stay!!
