Holiday Inn Express Dayton, an IHG Hotel

Everything was great. Ms Anne at the front desk was a delight. The swimming pool is great, the kids truly enjoyed playing together and I appreciated that it was clean and not over-chlorinated.

The breakfast.... the sweet lady running the breakfast seemed to just be a bit behind when my children and I came down. Maybe what we had to choose from for breakfast was just what was left from first rush of the morning. The hot/cooked portion of breakfast we didn't eat.... but a lot of fruit and muffins to choose from so we were still happy and grateful. 🙏🏽

The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable. It was at the end of the hallway which we thought would be less noise. Remote/tv took some figuring out.

Shower/tub is small. The stairway door was right across the way which apparently gets used a lot. The door opening and shutting pretty consistently was annoying. Maybe put something on the door that creates a soft close so it reduces the noise for whomever gets the room next.

The queen size beds were comfortable. Bathroom large. Decor simple modern. Nice hot breakfast, lots of choices, including a pancake maker, which we had not seen before. Staff pleasant and helpful.

The room looked clean but there was a smell as soon as entering that reminded me of gym shoes in a closet. A used towel was left on the hook behind the bathroom door. There were only three sets of towels in room for four and no soap. Had to go to front desk. We had just stayed in a two room suite elsewhere so this room seemed small. Only one chair. But sufficient for a one night stay. The pancake maker was not working.

There was plenty of food. The coffee was excellent. I had oatmeal, and it was perfect.

In our room, the little personal coffee machine was way up high, hard to reach. I really couldn't use it, and that is one thing I always like, is to have coffee as I am getting dressed. Just a minor thing, but I would have used it if it had been down lower on a table.

We were put in a room by the mechanical room and there was a buzzing sound ALL NIGHT long. Romm was clean and comfy but the constant buzz made for a long night. Staff (Pam) was very sweet.

The location was great, convenient to everything in a small town. Probably the best motel there.

The price was high. I don't pay that when I stay in bigger cities. You were about 60 dollars higher but because I stay in Holliday Inn Express when I travel I paid it.

The staff could not have been more kind! Everyone we dealt with or spoke to was so friendly. Our room was clean & comfortable.

The air conditioner wasn't working in our first room, they attempted to fix it & then promptly moved us to another room when it was clear it couldn't be fixed that evening. It was a small inconvienence but really not a big deal.

Nice, clean, and easy access. I thought the room was fine, but the bed really uncomfortable (time to replace the mattress). My complaint is with the price of the room. Will try someplace else next time that is a little more reasonably priced.

Property was fine.

The comfort of the bed itself, the touch light on the desk, the bathroom mirror.

The stain on one of the pillows, the broken towel holder on the back of the door, and the big chip missing out of the bathtub . The view out the back of the hotel wasn’t exciting either. A big hill with little landscaping.

Hotel wasn’t excited that we used an outside booking company. Was running late and was told if I didn’t make it they would give my room away. Asked if I could go ahead and pay for room and was told no. Made it on time and the computer wasn’t working and we couldn’t check in. Gave us the key to the room and said wait til next morning. We did and not one told them we was in the room. So they treated it like a no show. But they final got it straightened out.
