Courtyard by Marriott Chattanooga Downtown

The free breakfast was great, just wasn't enough. Expected buffet. The Jacuzzi was wonderful.

The ice machine on several floors didn't work. Had to always go to front desk. No microwave in room to heat food. If you didn't get coffee before or after a certain time, you were out of luck. The bathroom lights were really dim. Not bright at all. I washed a load of clothes my first night, the person never came back to get their clothes out of the dryer. I ended up hanging clothes in the bathroom. Only 1 floor had washer and dryer that worked.

close to the aquarium and the flea market that Memorial Day weekend was just perfect. walking downtown and all the restaurants and the novelty store moon pies, made our weekend. will come back to this place again.

was a little upset that it was 3:00 and our room was not available. but I realized that it is hard to find help anywhere. so I understand that hotels is short staff, do not take it out on the employees they do whatever they need to keep us happy. me and my friend decided to walk the strip and when we got back it was available.

The location of this Marriott was perfect for the attractions we wanted to go to. The room was big, with plenty of room for the five of us. Beds were comfy. coffee was good. in fact, I had extra coffee without even asking, because I had emailed the hotel with some questions, one of them being about the type of coffee maker, because I usually bring extra coffee cause we are coffee drinkers. any time I thought of a question and had to email, the response was so quick! I've never had that in other hotel response. The name of the lady I was talking to was Kate Burkhalter and she was so nice! She was so friendly when we checked in, too! Although, the guy next to her did the actual checking in. He was friendly, too, but I missed his name. I didnt use the pool, but it looked nice. there was also this cool area outside that had a firepit, I wish I had of had time to use. I am going to plan to stay here again next time! the only downside was, that I am use to the free breakfast where I usually stay and this place does not offer it. they do have a bistro/Starbucks that serves breakfast, but I just didn't see anything we all liked to eat, so we skipped it.

I have been spoiled with my free breakfasts at other hotels, but it isn't a dealbreaker. I wish there was a side entry into the parking deck, you have to park in. but that was only because I didn't realize they had a space up front to park in, so you can check in and unload your luggage. i had parked and then went to the aquarium and then came back to check in, so, I had to roll my luggage from the deck to the hotel.

This property is very close to the aquarium and Children’s Museum which was perfect for is to walk. Property was clean and well maintained.

Be prepared to pay $18 a day to park and there is NO continental breakfast or complimentary coffee in the hotel, which was a a huge deal for us. They do have a bistro that serves breakfast, but get ready to pay because it’s not cheap. Also, there was no outside pool only indoor and the kids didn’t enjoy it as much.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Chattanooga Downtown. The young lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, and the view of the Tennessee Aquarium and the river were exactly as pictured. Access to the free shuttle service is next door to the hotel, so it was very easy to get around downtown and other areas. There is a coffee shop in the lobby, and multiple eating establishments within close walking distance. Loved the pedestrian bridge across the river ~ great views & photo ops! Overall, our stay was very pleasant.

Visitors should be aware that there is a fairly assertive urban outdoors population in the area. Some front staff were unfamiliar with hours/options available at the Tennessee Aquarium, which is directly across the street from the hotel. A short list of information on the Aquarium and other nearby attractions (museums, etc.) in each room or at the front desk might be helpful.

I liked the downtown location that allowed us to park the car in the parking garage and just walk to so many attractions and places to eat.

The only issue that kept me from giving an overall excellent rating was the delay in the check-in process. I do realize that there are still staffing shortages as a result of the pandemic, but after traveling by car for 3 hours, we were a little anxious to check in to our rooms, but we had to sit in the lobby for an hour while the staff cleaned our rooms. But, that did not take away from the overall great experience.

Hardest- Most uncomfortable bed I’ve EVER slept in. So little food options from Hotel itself; don’t ALWAYS need to go out! Pool photo size exaggerated “a million times” Noise: if I hadn’t taken a fan to block noise I would have been mad! Outside street; people talking -outside!!!

The 2 ladies at the breakfast cafeteria were so professional and patient and courteous. Well done. The front desk was also very professiomal. The tEAM seems bent on serving the guests and making sure the experience is a pleasant one. Unfortunately, that service is becoming rare. So, well done.

Proximity to downtown, you are feet away from restaurants, aquarium and the riverfront 12pm checkout time The staff were all friendly and professional

$18 per day parking Does not have a complimentary breakfast, but does have on-site bistro made like a Starbucks, which we felt was a tad over-priced. No vending inside hotel

My room was awesome, the room had a balcony with the view of the river. My G-daughter and I (12 / 70) did a lot of walking. The restaurants were near by, as will as the kids museum We walked along the river walk and across the river. It was all an amazing view. Loved it!!!
