Well maintained with clean pool. Good location to access Ober Gatlinburg Tram. Hotel clearly past it's prime yet had some cool hand painted signs of alpine skiing from several decades ago.

No Service desk at Chalet Inn location. Had to check in at another motel to get keys to Chalet.

Very spacious room. Clean and comfortable.

Room didn't exactly match the photos. Photos showed a jacuzzi tub. It was a standard tub.

You can tell that the property is older but other than that, we had a great experience. The view from the balcony was breathtaking! We actually booked with Chalet Inn in August 2022 and liked it so much, we booked for this trip too without looking at other hotels. We will be back!

Everything was great!

Great location just off the main Gatlinburg strip. Quiet area located in a residental area. Nice view with morning sun coming over the mountains. Room and bed comfortable.

The Inn is a vintage style building. A little dated. But is kept in good condition.

We liked the location. The view was wonderful. We walked out to the parkway to visit the shops. We even saw the bears passing through the parking area. One of my favorite things was actually the pool area. There are stalagmites and stalactites forming that will eventually grow into a natural cave feature. Very cool! The pool was a nice and refreshing after a long hot day in July. The pool area had a nice view of the 4th’s fireworks show too. Our room also had a additional access door to where we parked the truck, so we didn’t have to use the main door from the hallway. The place is a bit of an antique but we liked that part about it.

Locating the office was still confusing for most guests. We saw a lot of guests not sure of where to go to check in and had to give directions to clarify. Better signs would help. But our biggest problem with our stay was the scalding hot water fluctuations in every shower we took. I take a 20 minute shower and twice each shower the water would suddenly and quickly turn scalding hot. Like burn your skin hot. Then it would turn icy cold before returning to the set temperature. We stayed for 4 nights so we just learned to expect it, rather than switching rooms or something.

Our room was on the bottom floor and opened out onto a beautiful setting with stonewall and a rose garden. The view was perfect, even from that level. Can only imagine the views from the upper floors would be even better! The room itself was everything we could have wanted -- comfy bed, AC was quiet and worked great and above all else, it was CLEAN! The fireplace was an added bonus! Would totally recommend and stay again if we have the chance to go back.

We liked everything about our stay! Bear in mind it is an older inn, which they appear to have updated and/or are continuing to update. All appliances were new, as were TV, mattress, and the pool area was immaculate. Even though it's located up a small hill above the EconoLodge, we parked there and we could walk up into town -- very convenient!

We loved the location! The chalet part is back off the main drag but close enough to walk to shops and things. The room was a strange set up but the bed was very comfortable and it was the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed at in Gatlinburg. Things need updated but we were just there to sleep. It was a spacious room with newer windows we were able to open in the hot tub room. We absolutely loved the view and the rocking chair sitting area was beautiful!

The lobby is at the bottom of the hill in another hotel area. It’s very small and the person at the desk was more interested in her phone than helping customers. The rooms do need updated a little and the buildings are just unlocked all night so anyone can get in. No key access required. It’s a weird little entrance and hallway to your room as well

I loved the location, it is walking distance to the city center. It had an amazing view with a good size (large) patio to sit and enjoy it. It was private and clean. The staff were very nice. Also, they had a small variety of breakfast items with waffle maker. Our stay was definitely pleasurable and would for sure stay there again.

Only reason I didn’t give the full ten is because i feel maybe the room could use a nice little update; or a renovation to just make things look cleaner. There was an electric fireplace in our room but it didn’t heat anything, it was more for decor. The room had a small unpleasant smell to it but bearable. Also there was a tree blocking most of the amazing view but still had a good amount of things to gaze at around it.
