The room was clean and the staff was pleasant. For the price, the location was great. On Fridays and Saturdays after 9:00 p.m., the "action" in downtown Austin is centered around 6th Street and is walkable from the motel. It's maybe a ten-minute walk at a reasonable pace. Breakfast was available at the motel and I was surprised at its completeness--the best I've seen since covid came through. On the downside, it IS on I-35 and I-35 is a busy road. It can get noisy, but overall, it isn't bad.

It could use a brighter light for reading. And I couldn't get onto the internet (which may have been the fault of my computer).

I really appreciate and loved the customer service ❤️ I got from the girl who received me on Sunday and Monday she was the night manager for those two nights. I didn't appreciate the unprofessionalism I heard on the phone today Tuesday, she definitely needs to get,at least some leadership skills, you do not question your co-worker's decision of why a decision was taken with the costumer on the phone you don't ever bash a member of your team,they are to valuable to try to question their judgment again with a customer on the phone.

Location, location, location. Hard to beat this place's location without spending a lot more money. I felt my room was clean and the bed comfortable-although I must admit I was quite tired when my head hit the pillow-speaking of pillows, there was a nice selection of them on each bed, from soft to firm.

I tried to tell them the coffee at breakfast was weak and not very hot-I couldn't see any steam coming up from the cup. I think they took care of the temperature but not the taste. I tried two little cups of whitener and two sugars, but that didn't help. I have had coffee at other motels, and I've never tasted anything as bad as theirs.

Great location, within walking distance to the downtown/Capitol building areas. It's not the most fancy place to stay, but honestly it works perfect if you're just looking for a place to stay for the night.Room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. The wifi was actually decent. Plenty of onsite parking, at least when I was there. The staff were very fast at check-in and check out. Decently priced, especially if you book ahead.

The shower drain had to be positioned a certain way to drain, but I was able to make it work. Navigating the tv channels is is a bit annoying, but they have wifi and everyone has their devices now anyway, so not that big a deal. Also a heads up: they charge a $50 deposit on your card that you get back a few days after your stay.

I stayed multiple non-consecutive nights and most of the rooms were comfortable - comfy beds, good water pressure, and decent lighting and space.

One room had a window fan that just couldn't be turned off - at least its steady drown helped to drown out some outside noise in the parking lot. I also felt a little hoodwinked when I kept asking to extend a night's stay when they said vacancies were available but made me make a separate direct reservation in person at a higher rate rather than extend an existing Booking reservation.

We only booked this property as it was the most affordable we could find while the Austin City Limits festival was on and all prices of accommodation in town were vastly inflated. However, we had no complaints about the place even though it wouldn’t be our usual choice of stay. Bed was comfier than expected and everywhere lovely and clean.

The air conditioning unit in our room was very noisy and the coffee at breakfast was awful.

The location was great! We walked everywhere downtown and in East Austin. Breakfast was adequate: packets of oatmeal to microwave, cold cereals, toast, packaged muffins, and make your own waffles. AC worked great. There was plenty of free parking.

Bathroom walls and floor could have been cleaner. We stayed 2 nights, but did not receive housekeeping services.

Super friendly front staff helped check me in. Room was clean and spacious. Not very much noise, we both slept through the night. Amazing location. Super easy walk to 6th street but they also had scooters there. And free parking !!

Beds were a little firm. My partner enjoyed that but I love a soft bed

I love the retro feel. They don’t try to make it look like a modern building. It is still authentic but very well maintained. Thank you for not tearing it down and building back

I was surprised by the $50 fee in case I smoked - I understand and paid it I probably was told that in the booking but missed it.

I was skeptical about booking at first because of the reviews, but I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised as my stay was very good. I'm guessing they had some upgrades. We didnt stay for breakfast but the location and room was amazing. Pool was clean and ready to use.
