Staff were very helpful and friendly. The owner has a good team managing his property. Had a little difficulty figuring out the IPTV control, but manager was very helpful and patient. It is an older facility, but it is well maintained and staffed.

Room has a slight smell of mold. May need to air the rooms out during humid times - did not see any mold, just a slight smell that went away with use of the air conditioner. Bathroom and shower tiles are very slick, perhaps a bathmat would help.

The channel selection on the TV was amazing. You can select sports, news, and entertainment from multiple continents in different languages. The bed was comfortable. Internet speed was excellent. Parking is free and convenient.

While everything in your main path was clean don't look behind the TV because there was enough dust to make anyone sneeze. The ice machine was not "COVID compliant" because there was just an unsanitary scoop in a covered box.. The lighting was inadequate and if you turn on the overhead light it was more like a shop light. Inadequate electric plugs (which is why I looked behind the TV because the TV was unplugged).

As a motorcyclist, I'm a big fan of the old motor lodge style with parking right outside your door. Nice clean room with great hot water pressure and a very comfortable bed with a firm mattress. The staff was friendly, and they let me extend my check-out after an unexpected overnight snowfall. Perfect location in the middle of Canyon within easy walking distance of food. As an older building, the room showed a little wear, but I would definitely stay here again. The room also included a small fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, iron & board, and free wifi.

Small, locally-owned motel. Quiet location directly across from the Police Department. Friendly family runs the property. Comfortable sleep. Very hot water, which is rare.

The room AC was loud but worked well. I had to look up how to work the TV remote online. It was one of those STB/TV remotes. Once I discovered the shower faucet was backward, the hot water was amazing! The bed frame/support box was metal. Every time you got on or off the bed, it would make a loud sound. These are little things but worth mentioning.

The room was stayed in was quite spacious for an Inn style, has a couch and table too. Bathroom was recently remodeled and very spacious and clean. the room furniture was a little old but doesn’t impact us too much. Beds were actual queen and comfortable. Location is super convenient if you are visiting Palo Duro Canyon. There was also a decorated patio outside which made the stay feel home.

No breakfast but we were ok with that. Location was great for visiting Amarillo and palo duro canyon state park. Felt safe and lots of lighting outside. We would stay again before going to a bigger hotel.

TV could’ve been better as far as watching something before dozing off. Movie would stop and go to tv menu. But it wasn’t a big deal for us.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. They went above and beyond. Retro feel to some of the design choices. Incredible value. So reasonably priced. Close to Palo Duro Canyon State Park. There is a covered outdoor area with benches on gliders. It felt great to sit out there in the evening.

I loved it. It's not really designed (or priced) for the traveler who wants/needs all the bells and whistles.

This property was recently renovated and extremely nice. The bathroom was HUGE and spacious. The window covering was a picture of Palo Duro Canyon. Staff was personal and friendly. We will be back next time we visit the Canyons.

The only improvement I would suggest is a thicker blanket on the bed. Everything else was exceptional.

Restroom: Not enough space to put toiletries, lack of towels ( one big, two small) ,hooks to hang clothes and towels or not enough place to put them. No paper towels, wipes or napkins

The husband-wife couple who manage the Buffalo Inn were terrific! They are hard-working people and we saw them working day and night. They have added a gazebo-type lounge area out front which is very nice for guests to have coffee in the morning, read the newspaper, etc. I will offer this tip---that if you get chilly at night, the blankets are in the dresser drawers! I did not realize where the blankets were until we were checking out so don't forget to search the dresser drawers for the comfy blankets! I would definitely stay here again! Great location if you are visiting Canyon, Texas, the rates are very reasonable, and the customer service is superb.
