Best Western Plus Crown Colony Inn & Suites

we were running a bit late due to some major traffic tieups in Houston Texas. We call the front desk she assured us not to worry our room would be there for us waiting and she would do her best to make sure I stay was a pleasant one. The next morning we woke to a very well-stocked and complete hot breakfast bar. It was quite tasty. Also, they serve community coffee, which is one of my favorite, which just made the stay that much better. I would highly recommend if you’re overnighting through Lufkin or have some time to spend it will be at a pleasant experience.

we had some very noisy children in the room next to ours, which I would not have heard headed not been for the adjoining door. It made it a little frustrating to get to sleep.

Everything. Coffee and breakfast very good. Staff friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Dog friendly a plus!

I would suggest a designated pet relief area. Pet friendly hotel; behind hotel a grassy area for dogs to relieve themselves and clean up station.

The person at the counter was sweet and helpful, and she offered us cookies and candy while she checked us in. We had a super comfortable king size bed and a large sofa that was spacious ( I would have preferred fabric upholstery instead of faux leather). The bathroom was big and well stocked. The refrigerator had complimentary bottled water in it. The room had a decorative Tuscan flair, and there was plenty of lighting with several lamps as well as ceiling lights.

The carpet was ugly and not perfectly clean. The tub needs new caulking around the edges.

We enjoyed and appreciated having so many options for breakfast food. The staff kept the food bars well supplied as food ran out. The staff was very courteous.

Access from Hwy 59 to travel south to Houston was a bit of a problem. The staff, however, provided us with good directions for getting on the road. It will not keep us from returning the the hotel when we make future trips.

The booking price online was quite high, however, once I arrived I asked for a senior discount. The manager obliged and lower the price…kudos! Also, the place is very vintage, which my guest loved! First hotel I’ve ever been in that has a ceiling fan 😀! The breakfast was awesome! Enjoyed the putting green. Excellent place to stay during your visit to Lufkin!!!

What I didn’t like: room had some Sheetrock flaws, but everything else made up for the flaws.

The breakfast was as good as any restaurant. They had coffee and hot chocolate service available at all hours. The beds were very comfortable and had extra blankets and pillows in the closet.The bathroom had plenty of grab bars in and near the tub. Good water pressure in the shower.

The property staff were very helpful as we were having to change reservations due to unexpected illness. That was awesome!

We had a non-smoking room but you could tell it had previously been a smoking room. Residual smell. The heater/air conditioner made a squeaking sound.

Everything was really nice. The room was clean and well appointed. The TV was great, the coffee machine had great coffee. There was a fridge and microwave. The breakfast was really exceptional. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was completely taken by surprise. I didn't expect such a great stay.

Everything!!! I needed to check in 3 hours before and Robbin at the front desk made it happen. She was very friendly and profesional. Penny had the dinning room spotless and made sure that food was hot, fresh and tasty. Thank you Robbin and Penny!! Oh, and David, the man in charge of security, made sure I was not locked outside and assisted me with a smile on his face twice. what a great experience!!

Nothing - I enjoyed my stayed very much.

I absolutely loved that the second bed was in its own "separate" room. Breakfast was super convenient and I really enjoyed the cheese omelet. Traveling with a pet, this being such a nice and inexpensive option with an animal was great!

Nothing really stood out that I disliked at this location. It was close to Cotton Patch which made dinner a breeze, the facilities were lovely, and there wasn't anything to complain about. I'd highly recommend this location for anyone traveling in Lufkin.
