The Fredonia is absolutely charming! The lobby, pool, sitting areas, etc are all decorated with mid-century retro furniture and accessories. It is so cute inside with a modern twist. It would be an ideal place for a group meeting or even a reunion. Staff was courteous, gift shop and restaurant were great, and the entire vibe was fun and unique.

The rooms themselves were very modern, not like the retro look of the rest of the hotel and ours was a little shabby compared to the common areas of the hotel. This is an OLD building so I appreciate them keeping the external portions pretty true to the time,(astroturf terrace and braided bistro set outside the door and white painted wrought iron trellaces). But I wish the rooms were more unique and special like the rest of the hotel.

I love the location! What really took it over the top was the boutique, the bar, and restaurant. The beds were really comfy and seemed clean. I liked that the corner rooms had more space. The hotel staff were very good in accommodating our requests.

The hotel needs a facelift in the common areas such as elevator and hallways. I don't like having to put in a daily request to have our rooms cleaned. I believe that should go without being said. And even then, it didn't seem like our rooms were actually cleaned... just the beds were made and towels were replenished.

when I arrived Saturday around 8 pm I could not find.the reception desk. the lobby and. restaurants were crowded with people and I saw a desk but there was no one there. i went up and down looking for someone and finally flagged down a waitress and she said I had to stand there long enough for them to see me on the camera? what? seems like a signage and management issue more than employee issue. My room was also in the farthest outbuilding open to a back street, didn't feel too safe and quite a trek to get there. Also no close parking , I had to park two blocks away.

We stayed in the tower and had a great clean comfortable room. Hotel didn't disappoint for sure. Good bar with food attached for the evening and even had pool side service which was a huge plus. Huge shout out to Taylor for taking care of us in the heat. Definitely will be back.

The only negative we had was the main pool did have a bit of an odor in the water like a pond but was super light. Just needs more Chlorine and I think it'll be fine.

The location was great, we walked around town the next morning before checkout to take photos. We were travelling with a dog and it was fantastic to stay there with him. Very comfortable beds and loved how the room was made up.

The room was small but expected in such a historic site. It did not deter from our stay.

The fredonia was wonderful! We enjoyed the terrace pool, the steakhouse, and breakfast at the cafe. All were wonderful with great service!

The ac in our room didn’t seem to work as well as it should have. We got a little warm but it didn’t change the fact that we had a good time!

Always love the staff at the front desk, in the restaurants and the gift shop. Even the folks cleaning the room and maintenance workers are friendly and courteous. I always stay in a Terrace or Cabana room because they are spacious and I am in/out alot during my stays and the convenience of those room types is awesome.

The pillows.... LOL If I could change one thing about this entire hotel, it would be the pillows. I have always found them to be 'overstuffed' and way too firm. Since each guest is provided with 2 pillows, I would suggest 2 pillow options per guest as well; the current pillow and then a more 'soft and flexible' option.

The Hotel restaurant is always great for Breakfast, lunch or dinner! The Republic Steakhouse (also on-site) is a cut above many 4-5 star restaurants Ive dined at in other States. It is truly a hidden gem at the hotel and a definite asset for Nacogdoches. Always our place to dine for celebrating a special occasion or a college benchmark achievement by our kids. The overall atmosphere of the hotel itself is awesome and very welcoming; most of the staff are students at the College located in town and are working or various degrees related to the hotel or culinary arts industry. The grounds are always immaculate and festive and the gift shop is amazing. The outdoor dining, particularly in the cooler months, is absolutely the best! We love this place as do all of our friends that we have introduced it to!

2 pools, comfy beds, nice amenities such as ceramic coffee cups with Keurig, nice restaurants on site.

promised outside movie by pool had technical difficulties 2 nights and my little grandson was really disappointed.

The decor of the room was classy and the beds were very comfortable. The sitting area was great for taking breaks and looking at the materials from the visitor center to plan our site seeing. I also loved the shelf with bench and the makeup counter.

The bathroom was beautiful but small. It was tight trying to use the sink and found the shelf to be in the way of it. Overall, it was doable and the shower was perfect.
