Great location in walking distance to Main Street shops and restaurants. We stopped overnight in Danville unexpectedly and would like to come back in the future to see how much it’s changed and grown. There is a new waterfront park and condo area being built as well as a casino. Check out Me’s Burgers &Brews for a bite to eat and sit at the bar to chat with Sam the bartender! Great guy with a lot of knowledge about the area and the plans to revitalize the city!

We were upgraded to a king size suite with a living room and kitchen space on the first floor, which is one level down from the main lobby. It was quiet and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel has bikes you can use and a fab little courtyard which we did not get to use as we were only there for one night but I thought was a fantastic way to offer guests to explore the area and chill outside.

The Bee is a lovely hotel and the rooms are exceptional! We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and loved the size of the rooms and bathrooms. The staff was all very pleasant and we were made to feel welcome and appreciated each time we entered and exited the hotel. Housekeeping was very professionally done and we so appreciated having a clean room.

The parking is undesirable due to the fact that there is limited parking directly adjacent to the hotel. Also, the lighting in the parking lot a block away from the hotel is almost non-existent, which makes the lot dark and unsafe. I was accompanied by my husband on this trip but I would not feel comfortable. If I made this trip alone, there is no way that I would have felt safe and comfortable walking to/from that parking lot. They must put up lighting and a gated entrance to secure the lot is recommended.

This hotel was so nice! So cute and modern but with a vintage feel at the same time. The room was really clean and the beds were comfortable. I really liked the big ceiling fan also! The rooftop terrace was beautiful as well. The staff was always friendly and they brought us clean towels and washcloths every day and a lot of places do not!

The only thing that I didn’t like was it was kind of confusing finding where to park. Once we found it it wasn’t that far but it was a small walk away. Also there is no breakfast served, free or otherwise.

The location was absolutely perfect for the trip, and the staff (especially Brian!) were so knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely will stay again when I come back next time.

I perhaps would have liked if there had been a small breakfast included. The coffee maker in the room was made to suffice my caffeine needs and I felt bad each time I had to ask for more coffee pods for my room.

We booked last minute and had a free upgrade to a suite. This was more like a studio apartment! It was huge & we wished we were staying for more than just one night. It would be a great spot for a week! The front desk staff was amazing!

We had a hard time finding it with Google maps. There were also lots of spiderwebs on the railings of the rooftop deck, but otherwise the place was spotless.

The price was very reasonable. We both felt that we got more than our monies worth. It was surprisingly large, with a full kitchen and an island. Very clean and modern with a touch of nostalgia.

Beware, they have no on-site parking. Their parking area is a few blocks away. I needed assistance finding my room. This building was an old printing factory and at times it felt like I was in a maze.

Quiet, clean and well accompanied rooms. Unusual history of the hotel made for a good story. Excellent dining within short walking distance at the Golden Leaf.

There was no onsite breakfast available. Across the country, in even the lowest rated hotels, there is some sort of basic breakfast. Nana Karen's was recommend for a full breakfast menu but it was closed on Saturday. Parking was free but it was 2 blocks away in an open, unsecured and unsupervised lot.

Fun restoration of a beautiful old building. Tasteful and interesting decoration. Tall ceilings and existing walls result in very spacious rooms. Fantastic air conditioning for a husband who is always hot in hotel rooms - we were able to feel cool and refreshed.

So far, there is no bar or restaurant. This would definitely add to property. Beautiful rooftop terrace is a definite draw, however, popularity of this space will doubtless lead to bookings - and therefore unavailable to guests. We experienced this half our stay. Balancing renting out and having such a huge asset available for guests will no doubt be an issue.

The hotel is just beautiful--maintained the outside and existing legacy structure, and created a modern, comfortable interior that highlights the building's history. Room was VERY spacious, comfortable (loved the ceiling fan so much) and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the best places I've stayed in recent history. I will come again.

The only issues don't really involve the hotel itself--the parking lot around the corner was a little creepy on a Sunday--there was literally no one else around, and I didn't really feel comfortable leaving my car there. I ended up parking in a spot on the street next to the hotel. Also, this wasn't an issue for me, but may be for others--the building I was staying in was walk-up only, although they did have a chair lift--this is just something to be aware of when staying here, just in case you aren't comfortable with a few flights of stairs. They did offer to help me with my bags, but I was fine, and the stairs weren't bad.

The rooms are very modern and nicely furnished. Exceptionally clean. The observation deck and courtyard are nice communal spots to eat or lounge.

The parking lot is an uphill walk, a block over. Parking spaces by the building are scarce. The 2 hr parking between 9am-6pm doesn't appear to be enforced.
