The hotel is just a few miles from the north entrance to Shenandoah National Park. It was convenient to everything and away from the downtown area. even though it is next to I-66, it is a quiet place to stay.

When I was there, they were doing renovations to the outside of the building. There was plastic over the windows, and the outside didn't look great. I'm sure this will be a temporary problem. Also, the pool was closed as part of the renovations. Again, this is temporary, but people interested in swimming may want to check if the pool has reopened.

Breakfast-good. Handicap room-good. Handicap bathroom-very good. Pet Friendly-accommodate Service Dog and one pet dog-very good. Bed/mattress-okay, but worn. Custodial staff does well at keeping well used facilities and grounds clean and maintained. Quiet-No rowdy guests during our stay. Location-very good.

Hotel beds in handicap rooms do not accommodate those who cannot sleep flat due to health issues and disabilities and there is not a reclining chair that would do in a pinch. This is all hotels as far as I know. Not unique to Hampton Inn. One must request extra pillows to prop themselves up against and elevate legs, which an adjustable bed is able to do. The pillows shift during the night, support is lost, forcing one to wake up and reset as often as required. Not a restful situation. I think an adjustable bed and a reclining chair should be included in the handicap rooms for an increasingly aging population that travels.

The Breakfast meals were exceptionally delicious!!! And the staff that runs the Breakfast area were superb! Such a very and polite ladies, who were always asking me if everything was up to my standards, and if I needed anything else. The roons were very clean, and the beds were nice and firm, but very comfortable.

The pool was under construction, but the weather was not the greatness for taking a dip, so no worries there.

Very convenient and easy on / off travel hotel. Staff were very helpful finding us a good place for dinner and the hotel met all expectations. Clean and comfortable. Would stay here again when traveling in the area.

Really nothing to dislike. Breakfast was provided, standard american buffet breakfast, it could always be improved, but this was nice and about what I expect in the US. Nice place.

location of the property is great and you have everything accessible like target and Walmart are less than half a mile. McDonald’s and gas station are within the compound. breakfast is great. staff are very courteous and responded well. they were able to accommodate my request to upgrade very reasonably.

property is probably very old. it looks great at the forefront and reception area. however the rooms are laid back. the cleaning should have been better. there is no exhaust in the bathroom and all smells are left to the people to breathe in. the shower knob is faulty. there is a lot of show off that the property is taking precautions for covid, but, mask rule is not enforced so much.

Very conveniently placed to visit the Shenandoah National Park. My husband and I stayed for three nights and found it relaxing and quiet after being in Washington DC. The staff were so helpful and courteous, the breakfast was fine and the hotel very clean. We would definitely recommend a stop here if visiting the National Park.

Generally ok place. It was clean, functional and quiet. Breakfast comprised the usual spread of hot and cold stuff. There was omlete, chicken patties, oat porridge and do-you-own waffles.

Check in was 3pm. But our room was not ready when we got there at 4.15pm. The location is outskirts of town, with 'nothing' nearby except for a gas station.

Hotel is well located just outside Front Royal and close to shops and restaurants and the highway. Nice, large room with good beds and bathroom. Good breakfast and nice breakfast area. Staff very helpful. A great option if you are exploring the north part of the skyline drive.

Room lighting is a little bright - maybe "warm" range light bulbs would help create a better ambience in the room. Otherwise the room is very good.

hotel under construction and the room could use some updating. half the building was wrapped in plastic and that is the half they had us stay on. So, we had dirty plastic outside our window. Not sure why the room could not be on the other side.

The breakfast was the best part. Great choices and the ladies running it were super friendly and clean.

There were some shady people around. People were working on their cars in the back of the parking lot. They didn't bother us, but it was just weird. No restaurant attached or in hotel.
