The comfort of the room was nice although it was rather dusty I cleaned it myself and cleaned the whirlpool tub ..the jet steams were filthy, I filled the tub with hot water , and added a few drops of vinegar and turn on the streams and see how much dirt is actually inside the jets ..also the power kept going in and out . The resort is no longer all inclusive you have to pay for most if not all actives ..not cool ..the General store prices are outlandish a loaf of bread was $5 I didn't buy it ..I went to the local Walmart that's nearby..also the pipe in the kitchen sink came loose and water got everywhere I was doing dishes at the time ..maintenance took forever and we cleaned up the water ourselves ..I wont be returning which is sad because my family comes once a year ..

It has changed for the worst

I liked the Mountain landscape and quietness.

We arrived Friday night after a 3.5 hour we checked in, and our room was fly infested. We killed about twenty our first night. We ended up driving to the Foodlion late that night, making it just before they closed at 11pm to clean and wipe down our room at this pointwe are exhausted. We decided to go to bed, and our bed was not level due to it not being on the frame properly. It lifted on one side when you sat on it. We called the front desk about the bed and fly concerns again, and no one came to fix it till we called again Saturday evening. We were offered another room, we checked it out, and that room had flies as well. The rest of our stay, we were still battling flies Friday - Monday. Resort is nice, but those issues ruined my birthday getaway.

Even though the room needs upgrades, it was very clean and comfortable. I had to call the front desk for some information, and they were very helpful.

My particular room was quite the distance from the check-in location. It took me 30 minutes to find my room and I had to get help from a couple. It was not really explained well at check-in There were limited food options once I got on the property. I think there are tons of things to do for family and others, but I was just there to get some rest. By the time you check in at 5pm, there wasn't much to do, and I left the following morning. I couldn't find any close restaurants. Only 1 packet of coffee in the room and no water except faucet Again, I know this is a great place for activities for kids and even adults, but if you're just looking for something else, I wouldn't suggest staying here. Things are too spread out.

Restaurants VA BBQ and Campfire Grill, Grilling on the deck and movie night, Go Karts and Bumper Cars, Mini golf, Farmers Market

No housekeeping service, towels and toiletries hung on the door, no trash picked up, hair found on pillow and bed the first day, check in staff and escape room registration staff not friendly or engaging.. The housekeeping staff said she was new and couldn't answer our questions about room service. Some activities closed like Family Adventure Park

Location was awesome and the water park was the best

The 2 restaurants up where we stayed kind of sucked because the one at the base camp was not very good we waited 40min for our beverages and then they forgot to put in our order and we had to ask multiple times for refills for out drinks. The other one going up to the top of the mountain was okay but the service/ waiter was terrible and they burnt my steak and the a-one sauce was so watered down we minds as well just put water on our steaks. Them to restaurants was not organized at all. I understand place's are short staffed but I heard more cuss words come from the staff at the base camp restaurant than I heard from anyone in my life over the past month.

The facility was amazing. Everything was well kept beautiful and clean. Especially loved having a hot tub in the room.

This place pushes timeshares very hard. I got called twice about it before we arrived and the check-in process is intentionally designed that once you're checked in, you can't get a parking pass until you've talked to a timeshare rep. When speaking with this person, they don't disclose that the free things they're offering are in exchange for sitting through sales meeting until you ask them, is it a timeshare opportunity. Just feels a little manipulative to not give a parking pass at the front desk during check-in, but making you go over somewhere else so that you have to hear the pitch again before they send you on your way. Otherwise everything was amazing

The buffet was cold. When we told our server, it was corrected right away. Camp Fire Grill's food is delicious! Alex at the check in desk was great! The day time concierge on October 18th was great!

The man concierge, working Friday October 18th, after 4pm was not very nice. When we told him we had a problem with the confirmation for the horseback riding and I wanted to double check our other activities. You need better signs to find where activities are. GPS only leads you to an address.

I really like the condo, the staff at the office Rosa and Zoe, the security officer that tried to help when I called for information. The spa staff was very sweet and pleasant ,the restaurant wait staff. The decorations for the holiday was lovely.

I didn't like the fact, they had phone problems and phones went unanswered. You had to leave your unit to physically go back to the office. Now they sent me all kinds of texts, emails and called me about booking a tour regarding time share purchase before I showed up, but nobody took the time or felt it was important to send out a message regarding phone issues. Then it made me wonder in an real emergency would they warn the guest. The store prices are crazy.

Loved the map including directions to our hotel, and we ended up having a fantastic hotel with minimum people staying the night, so it was relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed spending time on the deck in the evening, and it was so peaceful.

We were told we would have a great view in our hotel, and while it was beautiful, it was a view of the trees directly in front of the hotel room (#4). I'm sure if we had a room on the top floor that we would have had a view of the mountains. AGAIN, it was still beautiful, just not what we expected from a view.

I enjoyed the location, scenery and peace & quiet.

Once arriving to our lodging apartment the staff had left our building front door open and we didn't come to our apartment right away. We went grocery shopping and got back by nightfall and what if an animal or person could've come into the building once we got back. That's what the entry cards are for. SAFETY is PARAMOUNT! Just let the guest open there own doors always. Also the king and twin beds were uncomfortable mattresses.
