Location was great; near metro. Near downtown. I liked the staff; very friendly. I liked the lobby music--funky. I liked the decor--warm and unique--not at all like a hotel. I liked the rooms. First time I have played a record in 30 years. I liked the breakfast restaurant and the restaurant. I liked the price. Amazing value for all I have described.
Nothing. I travel A LOT. It has been a long time since my expectations have been exceeded. The Eaton did.

Everything! This property has charm and grace and character! My room was attractive and even included a record player with 4 jazz albums to play! The hotel has cozy, comfy rooms where individuals or small groups can gather, read, relax, as well as a small cove where you can purchase some drinks and snacks. There is a restaurant, which I didn’t try, and a lovely cafe (owned independently of the hotel) that offered a nice variety of hot and cold items, coffee, wine, beer and soft drinks for breakfast, lunch or snacks. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and gracious. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The location, atmosphere and overall hospitality was top notch. I stayed here for the Beyonce concert and ended up getting stranded without a phone at the FedEx Field, and the front desk helped to make sure I was able to get home safely. Also, plenty of food and drink option in the hotel itself, so we really didn't have to go far for food or drinks.
Honestly, the only bad thing about my stay here is that my view was of the top of a roof (which I really didn't mind because I hardly stayed in the room) and the elevators later in the night are in constant use because of the rooftop bar. Those things didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.

I liked the whole vibe of this hotel. It's socially progressive, highlighting and celebrating more marginalized communities, and beyond that it's just a super cool hotel concept. For a business traveller, it still had what I needed--good wifi and a table in my room--but, with all these other touches that made the room and the whole hotel a relaxing place to be.
There weren't any vegan options at the little café other than potato chips. When I asked if one of their breakfast options could be made vegan, the cashier informed me that they could not remove the cheese. That was really a bummer because I often don't make time in the morning to leave the hotel and go out of my way for breakfast. A socially progressive hotel like The Eaton should have at least one (if not several) vegan options at all their restaurants. I also asked for a quiet room away from the elevator and they said they would give me one, but my room ended up being fairly close to the elevator and over the DJ booth they have on the ground floor, so not as quiet as I would have liked.

Eaton DC is a well-located, lovely-looking, charming place. I really liked the interiors and the entire ethos of the hotel. Room was spacious and well rounded. Lighting was on point and overall comfortable.
One of its coolest features is a record player in the room which didn't work at all. The shower is very strangely located so one ends up making a mess in the bathroom and it was simply impossible to lock the bathroom door. Whilst bed was made everyday, water glasses were not changed during my stay (5 days). No fridge in the room and the AC was considerably noisy. There's a fabulous bar in the ground floor however prices are high and they automatically charge a 22% tip. The self-service cafe in the ground floor is also nice however it's ridiculously expensive.

Bed was really comfortable. Good shower. WiFi (free) was fast. Room was extremely clean and air con was very good. Few minutes walk to the nearest metro station and the convention centre.
No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom. Cafe downstairs was really expensive ($12 for a basic packaged sandwich) and lacks good healthy options like cereal, porridge, yoghurt & fruit etc. Room was quite expensive, but I think DC isn't cheap in general. Fridge doesn't get that cold - couldn't really cool drinks in it. Not great for kids - no bath, no swimming pool unfortunately, breakfast is limited.

The location was fantastic - a few minute walk to the Convention Center as well as to many of DC sights. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars in the area. I loved the design and decorations of the hotel and rooms. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The only thing that could be improved was the limited lighting in the bathroom. Made applying make-up in the morning a bit of a challenge.

Staff was great. Location and value are superb. There’s a great coffee shop on the property. It also has a good restaurant with equally great staff. Didn’t get to check the rooftop bar but it seems it was really popular.
Property can invest a bit more on pillows and maybe on a bit more comfortable bed. But overall the accommodation was a great place.

What I appreciated the most for the room design, the comfort provided and the location of the hotel. Even though DC is a big city, could do mostly everything walking. A big hands down to the staff, always helpful and kind. I’d like to say special thanks to Maggie who went above and beyond helping me during my stay, with a huge smile on her face.
Didn’t appreciate how noisy the ar conditioning was.

Large, airy, light-filled room, very comfortable bed, quiet. Location--I walked almost everywhere. Café inside the lobby offered good quality, fresh packaged food. I'd stay here again!
The only negative thing is the placement of the shower toiletries holder in the shower--I don't know how anyone could avoid hitting their elbow and upper arm (I did, twice).
