Good location. Common rooms are particularly nice and comfortable. gym is basic but sufficiently equipped for a hotel of this size. Rooms are comfortable but a little run down. They look better in the pictures. I read also in one of the other reviews that guests would appreciate a reading light next to the bed. Fully agree. Overall, a good balance between quality offered and price

The property overstates the 'breakfast' on offer. It is basically free coffee with muffins and croissants and few other options (eg cereals, marmalade). It is self-serviced and there is no one to guide you where to find things. There is no cutlery or even plastic plates to use and the coffee machine only makes black coffee (even though it has many options on display). As a guest, it is always convenient to have these things in the morning but it may be misleading to call it 'breakfast'. Expectations are different and it gives an impression that you get a better room offer as breakfast is included. It would be better to say - like many other hotels do - that the above are complimentary.

Gorgeous old building with new amenities.

The property seemed pretty well maintained…However, there was a bit of (definitely not ours) in the bathroom(bathtub, floor, counter, & window sill)…& stains on the light colored couch- was a little grossed out.

Was able to coordinate late arrival. Room was convenient. Full-size frig, Stovetop. Dishes and cookery. It was very convenient to make my own meals during the stay. Great walking neighborhood. Small but useful gym.

Shades didn't cover full window. Light streaming in at night. Had to wear eye covering. Just a bit on the noisy side during late night hours. But, it seemed to die down around midnight.

The breakfast is good with fresh fruit available. Please add some gluten free crackers to your offerings. Appreciated the tomato juice. Please add some cheese packs to the breakfast offerings . The kitchen is well-appointed with good quality appliances.

The sofa in the room was a disaster. It is so broken down it almost swallows you whole and injures your back when you try to get up. Please get sofas that allow for sitting in some comfort. A firmer bed would be good. A more cheerful reception area would be appreciated: Some plants and fresh flowers ? It is a very drab entry area.

The front desk staff was very polite and accommodating. All of our questions and requests were answered in a timely manner. All of the staff was accommodating. The young man who helped us with our luggage was quite polite.

Because of the location, unpacking the car was a little difficult. There is a circular driveway, but a car was parked there leaving not much room for our car to pull up and unload. The tail of our car was in the street and blocking part of the bus stop next to the building. The studio was very warm because the air conditioning was not working. The front desk was informed, but unable to do anything about it the first day. The second day a portable air conditioning unit was brought to our room and would have been fine except we had to keep the window open so th exhaust from the unit could blow outside. However, that meant that the hot air was still coming in the room. After informing the front desk, we were given a discount on the final bill.

I read the other reviews, so I was prepared for what to expect. Breakfast was enough to supplement my own food (yogurt, an occasional breakfast sandwich) but I went at 8am as some reviews mentioned there wasn't enough food. However, the area is surrounded by great food options, and there's a farmers market nearby on Sundays that had lots of pastries, fruits, veggies and other foods. The location was great, right by the Dupont Circle metro, very convenient to the landmarks in DC. The room is good, although the finishes are cheaper and already showing signs of wear. I had booked the room so I could use the washer/dryer but brought my own laundry detergent as none was supplied.

I had thought it was a bit funny that there weren't that many dishes in the cupboards, it wasn't until the morning I left that I decided to check the dishwasher, and discovered where all the dishes were. I had also read in the other reviews that the rooms are not serviced every day - only weekly or in between short stays.

The apartment is well equipped and spacious. The location was nice and quiet, pretty close to the metro station.

The apartment was not well cleaned when we checked in, a lot of dust and hair on the floor and I had to go to the reception to ask to vacuum the floor. The breakfast offered is a real joke! Couple of bagels, butter and jam (if you are lucky) milk and juice and a horrible coffee!Not even a knife to cut the bagels. In my opinion they should not even mention about this “complimentary breakfast” as it only creates high expectations, while in reality you receive some crumbs.

Interesting historic building with modern facilities. Huge common areas including lounge, kitchen and shared desk areas that were great for snacks or to relax in. Comfortable room with washer/dryer facilities. Close proximity to fabulous restaurants, supermarket, bookshop, bakeries, coffee shops and the underground train station. Interesting area to walk around in, to see the international embassies nearby. Easy access to get to Smithsonian museums via train network. Fruit and yoghurt available in the fridge in the common kitchen throughout the day. Helpful reception staff were able to store our cases for us after checkout.

Breakfast provided would be ok if you like your breakfast consisting of either bread/bagels/english muffins or high sugar cereals/yoghurt. (Note there are some fabulous local bakeries and cafes that may be a better option for some people.) The only lift working during our stay seemed to be out of service for about half a day but was fixed fairly promptly.

Located in a beautiful historical building right on Dupont Circle, really close to subway station. Great location. Very interesting surroundings; cool vibes. Room was comfortable and well (and fully) equipped. I strongly recommend this location.

Somehow disappointing to see they still use single-use & disposable cutlery in the main kitchen for breakfast, even though there is a dishwasher in the kitchen, which should be used to clean non disposable cutlery. This is an easy fix.
