We ate at the Tavern for lunch and a beverage before heading out to a concert. The staff at the front desk, in the tavern, at our table (bussing, waiter) were all very personable and friendly. The food was yummy (a little expensive) and the drinks were delish. We loved our room and the funky atmosphere of the hallways and all the local history. They have done the McMenamin's name proud. We also feel like we were given attentive service when we had a small problem. I love the attention to detail with their toiletries and the fun set up of the rooms. We will be back.

Wish we could've stayed more than one night (not their fault) and that the restaurant was open just a tiny bit later. We wanted dessert but got back after 10. Again, this is not their fault. This was our personal schedule.

I loved that there were so many fun things to do on property. It was nice to be able to park and not worry about drinking and driving. The property details and decor are well-thought out and really cool. We had a ton of fun! I would definitely come back!

The bed could have been more comfortable for sure. We like to keep a cool room at night, especially when we've been drinking; the AC didn't cool as much as we needed (I think the lowest we could turn it was 67 or 68 and it didn't put out much air) and the windows don't open, unfortunately. The front desk brought a small fan, but it didn't do much.

All the interesting art about the locals and the property. We felt lucky to have live music happening during dinner hours. The food was fantastic

Seems silly to complain, but having to go from the first floor to the third floor for coffee in the morning. I got there about 7:45 and there was only about 1/4th of a cup left. My husband was sleeping so I couldn’t call and ask for more, and of course I hadn’t put a bra on so I didn’t want to walk outside to the restaurant. Checked back an hour later and it was full and piping hot, luckily.

We loved the King room for our toddler, he had plenty of space to run around without sharp edges of beds and furniture and the lamp cords were out of reach. The pool is great as well as the Polynesian restaurant upstairs. We wanted to hang and play pool in the Woodshed but it was so packed on a Friday night it had a big wait.

They need ice machines!!!!! They give you an ice bucket but you are supposed to walk to another building and fill up your ice bucket at the bar which you can tell really makes the bar staff grumpy. Seriously even if you could have one machine just outside the building or something would be fantastic. Without refrigerators this essential when your kid is still drinking a lot of milk.

Dinner was nice and the whiskey hut was fun but because of the smaller space just no room to sit down and enjoy the lovely fire. Love the history posted all over the hallways. The artwork tells such a story.

There was an alarm clock in the room that was set for 5:30 AM and it was going off waking us up then. That should be a part of the housekeeping to make sure clocks are off. A bit more instruction on where the elevators were located and also noting to get off on the second floor so one does not have to carry the luggage back up the stairs to the opposite parking lot.

I’m a forever McMenamin’s fan. Great beer! The room was large & the in room bathroom were great. Parking was never an issue. Cool property to hang out at on vacation.

The employees were not the friendliest & the food was less than good. The hallways were stuffy. Morning coffee wasn’t ’served’, it was available at the front desk which was a hassle to go down the stairs, out of the building, into the neighboring building & back into the hotel, up the stairs & back into your room to get your coffee. Not good signage on site to know where to park for what, ie: hotel, restaurant, movie theater.

Anderson School location is a unique accommodation experience. When you leave the parking lot and walk through the garden to check in you have a sense of entering into some charming other reality. Decor is a reflection of the history of the school, its era and the people who worked here. Don’t worry - this isn’t one of those weird teddy bear grandmas knick knack hotels. The antiques are well chosen and complete the ambience that is here. Bothell is northeast of Seattle. It is/was a small rural town but is now a suburb. We stay here whenever we attend events at the Chateau St. Michelle Winery - only minutes away down Riverside Drive. There are various other tasting places to visit around the area also. Great little restaurant in what was once the school cafeteria. Good music from every genre in background. Nice bar and drinks. Pizza oven and the pizza is handcrafted. Lush greenery and outdoor spaces everywhere. Happy people of all ages are here. Room and bathroom was a nice size and quiet even with very large windows. Wonderful staff.

The concept is cool with an all inclusive setup. Bars and restaurants on site with a theater and pool. Firearms around were nice too.

Greeted with a Black Lives Matter support sign at the entrance. Disgraceful, lack of respect toward Law Enforcement and first responders displaying support for a terrorist organization.

Location was great, the grounds are so pleasant and happy. We enjoyed sitting in the open air and having wine and appetizers. We enjoy the fires, and had fun finding out what all the plants were.

Honestly, it was great. I dont have anything that I would improve. Maybe have coffee in the rooms, that would be nice.

Accommodations were comfortable and quiet. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The setting was great--very park like and it was fun to explore the grounds. Loved the whimsical and artistic touches!

We felt there was a bit of inconsistency in the the quality of food. Though we realize that the restaurants are getting back on their feet and that there were staffing shortages. Overall, the dining experience was fine.
