Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle North/Lynnwood

I have been at this hotel previously and it was wonderful. . The room was clean and comfortable. The fridge worked very well. I used the work out equipment and would only recommend that you have supplies available to clean it with after use. we also found the smell of chlorine and the humidity of the pool area a bit overwhelming. Otherwise it was a great place. The breakfast was very good.

When we first arrived it was 1.5 hours before check in time at 4. I was told that the room was not ready and could not check in and that it was policy not to check in before 4. I realize that there is a shortage of cleaning people which makes it hard to have the rooms ready early.

They didn't make it clear that you had to request for the room to be cleaned each day. By the third day, we asked the cleaning crew to clean our room and they said, "OK." But when we came back late that evening, our room hadn't been cleaned. The waste baskets were overflowing, out of towels, and beds weren't made. When I called the front desk about it he said, "Oh you could just bag up the trash and leave it outside the door." He didn't give much of an apology, nor did he offer to bring up clean towels. This was bad customer service.

location was easy to find located at the north end of the 5 close to the 5 for access the following morning on return to canada. check in was quick, stephen at the desk was courteous and aknowledged our request of a room selection on the main floor. hotel parking was spacious, restaurants close by. hotel room was a good size with fridge and microwave, it was clean and ws comfortable. very good selection of hot and cold breakfast items, certainly a better selection than some major chains during the current downturn in hospitality service.

althought the hotel is relatively new, the soundproofing of the rooms could be better, we were able to hear the couple next door.

Staff were friendly and helpful, location was great, room (and the rest of the place) was clean, beds were comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze. Breakfast was as it should be, nothing fancy but it was warm (or cold), as expected, and on time (everything was in place at 6 am).

Just a minor issue with logging in to wi-fi. Instructions were to log in with last name and room number, ended up having to enter both first and last name for both occupants of the room. Had to call twice and go to reception to be able to connect but it was all good.

Room was well equipped with many extras like a makeup mirror, separate sink area from bath and toilet, Generous amount of towels, lovely bed and bed linens etc.

I was not impressed with an extra charge I found on my visa. so I had to phone the hotel to find out what it was for. She informed me they take a $25 charge for “incidentals”. And it takes 3-5. Business days to refund it if there were no “incidentals”. I was not informed of this at check in. And I have no idea what incidentals were available to me. We stayed one night and the breakfast was free. Not impressed with this charge ahead of time, and then waiting til they got around to refunding it. It could be a deal breaker for me returning to the hotel for another stay. I find it an obnoxious concept.

Very good location, the room was big and clean, bathroom was a great size, floor was hardwood. Breakfast was good (bread, muffins, scrambled eggs, sausages, oatmeal, waffle machine, juices, cereal, coffee, apples & bananas) specially considering what other hotels offers after Covid. Employees were friendly. Pool looked good and gym was very basic. Would stay there again.

Room floor was sticky, whatever they used to mop didn't do a good job. Booked a room with king bed and kitchenette but got a room with 2 queen beds instead. One of the beds was lumpy.

My son and I stayed here over the weekend. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the clean room, the Koirala fish fountain, the close proximity to shopping, and the breakfast! The staff was so friendly as well as helpful!

The bed was very firm, so it was a bit tough to fall asleep. Also, the pool had a broken lamp floating which made us nervous to swim and the chlorine content was so strong it made my eyes burn after sitting in the hot tub for about 15-20 minutes.

Breakfast met our 14-year old’s needs. Fitness center met mine. Our pup was happy too. The room was really clean and the bathroom vanity was perfect for us.

All the doors in the hotel seemed to slam shut very loudly, including the cabinet doors in the room. I can imagine this could make for sleepless nights for those in rooms near the exit doors as people come in and out.

The breakfast was delicious. The staff working that area were always very helpful and friendly. The hotel as a whole is really lovely and welcoming.

Please reassess the timing of your landscapers. Being woken by their leaf blowers at 6:45am on a Sunday morning was pretty disappointing. Why have them come to a building at that hour, to do that job, when it’s full of sleeping people?!

Location was good. Layout of the room is perfect for my family of 5. Love the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion. Having many usb charging ports in the master room and lounge room were great.

Summer price a bit high for a 3 star hotel. No green salads for the free breakfast.
