Hi there! Everytime we come to the Grey Gull it's fun for us! There is nothing missing for us..we love the atmosphere whatever it is! It feels as though it is home to us. The birds, the wind, the sunshine or clouds... doesn't matter! We can watch the Deer, go to the Sauna, pool, the beach..play games, be alone or together.. and don't forget the jacuzzi ! Its home, but it's a grand vacation. we have tried most of the other facilities...forget it, Nothing EVEN comes close! The staff is wonderful in every way to make our trip truly special. Also, We meet great people that feel the same! We know the Grey Gull to be the only place to stay! Kal and Di from Seattle

Nothing. But, Massage would be nice!

The apartment was clean and comfortable. The deck chairs were a cozy upgrade, and the massage chair in the living room was a nice bonus. This apartment was on the third floor, and the view was much better than the lower floors, because we could see over the trees/vegetation in the dunes between the Hotel and the beach. Wonderful view!

The TV remotes were challenging to understand, some printed instructions would have helped. The bathroom shower/tub needs some work. The tile grout and caulking needs to be redone, and the tub drains very slow. After 2 minutes in the shower, there is two inches of standing water.

It was apartment style, so it had a stove, refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher and dishes. It was within walking distance to the beach. WiFi worked really well, usually free WiFi is spotty at best. It was pretty clean. The staff we dealt with were very nice and helpful. It is pet friendly, with a small daily deposit. Parking was available and close to our unit. Nice pet area for dogs to take care of their business, with bags for clean up and a trash can right there.

There was some construction going on, it was fairly loud the first day. Because of the construction our fireplace didn't work, they did try to fix it but couldn't. The unit was not reliant on the fireplace to stay warm so that was good. When picking up to go home we found cigarette butts in the bedroom trash (the room was supposed to be non-smoking) they were not from us, neither of us smoke cigarettes. The dining table was sticky, we tried to wash it but it was still sticky.... Maybe the varnish? The people in the unit above ours were loud and stomped around a lot.

The room layout was a one bedroom apartment with a combined living dining area that was spacious, and the furniture was tasteful and comfortable. Large windows that looked out over the pool and grounds that were well kept. Small balcony off the living room. A full kitchen was well supplied with essentials. The beach is beautiful! Lots of sand and gorgeous sunsets.

It did get a bit warm in the unit, be aware there is no air conditioning. A box fan was provided which we did use. It is a long walk to the beach but all properties in this area are set back this distance.

Nice big apartment, well decorated. Big 270 degree deck with a view of the beach except where the trees are too tall. Fabulous beds, WIFI was good. View of the beach from the kitchen, bedroom, living room. We were on the 3rd floor, any lower and you wouldn't have had a beach view.

The state doesn't let them cut the trees between the beach and the hotel. Another 2 years and almost nothing at Ocean Shores is going to be beach view. Also accumulating sand means most of the hotels are actually 1/4 mile to the beach through scrub pines and seagrass.

I loved the room and the view out the living room window. All the staff I experienced was wonderful. My granddaughter and I wanted to stay an extra day. Tracy arranged for us to stay in the same room, so I didn't have to move everything that was in the room since the previous Thursday.

One night, between 10:30 PM -12:38 AM, the people above us were drinking, stomping, and playing loud music. In the moment, we discovered there was no staff on the premises & couldn't find the phone number to report the disturbance. So magically (?) when we called the police, it all stopped. We lost sleep that night.

There r a few trails that r in short walking distance to the ocean. U may see deer enjoying the shrubbery as u walk or u may view from ur balcony. The premises is neatly landscaped and trash free. I did not have my camera on me our first night at the hotel, but the sky was clear enuf to show a crescent moon with what looked like Jupiter and Venus trailing behind each other. Both planets shining so bright. The night was quiet, it was a cold February night, the ocean breeze would remind u that's what made the stay at this luxurious hotel a happy time. U could even hear the.ocean waves. It was well lit up at night, I felt safe, peaceful, it was relaxing. I have been coming here since I was 8 years old. Many fond memories. There is what I call it, a mini mall with a candy and ice cream store on up the street at the round about that takes u in town, At the mini mall, just a few steps away is a kite and toy store we took my grandson to. I would highly recommend a seafood restaurant called Bennett's Seafood, the best hand dipped halibut, the prawns were done to perfection and clam strips and oysters. The portions were huge. We choose to stay at the Grey Gull every chance we get. They r a 10+ in my book!!

Maybe there could be an indoor pool. Just always been my suggestion. I love swimming. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub is open till 8 pm The pool is closed during the winter. Too cold out. But "what didn't I like" - I honestly can't come up with anything in particular

Came to the beach to ring in the New Year. All staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Loved the kitchenette and utensils, closet space, great windows and door at back was great. Ambiance of the gas fireplace was nice. Plenty of pillows. Close to town and beaches. Nicely groomed trail to beach behind building, with solar light post markers. Though the trails can be flooded in low spots in winter, not fault of facility, but Mother Nature. ;-)

- Ticking of the timer for fireplace is quite loud. Understand reason for it to prevent leaving on, but could use an updated mechanism. - Hard to avoid tracking sand in onto carpet when coming in back door even taking boots off outside, due to sand blowing on porch. Would be nice to have a broom and/or solid surface floors by door. Not deal breakers at all, loved our stay and will be back.

The location was about a quarter of a mile from the beach and was perfect! The first level made it easy to just walk out and be in the pool area or walk to the beach. Also, unit 111 was off to the end and was more private -- people not walking by th patio doors.

The noise from people walking on the unit above was quite loud. You could hear every foot step in the morning when they were getting ready to leave. Also the TV turned off every 5 minutes and recycled back on. It needs to be fixed.

We reserved a pool view room and absolutely loved it! The pool, parking lot, office, and path to the beach were all just outside our door. As a mom of 2 little kids, it was great to be so close to the pool. We checked out some kids books to read and the pool had toys to use. The gas fireplace was also wonderful!

The room did have a slight mildew smell and it looked like one of the back windows had leaked at one time. But the place was still very clean.
