Sequim Bay Lodge

We love staying here. Have never had an issue. Prefer the upstairs jacuzzi suite, and they do their best to accommodate . Our rooms have been comfy and clean.

Been staying here for over 20yrs prior owners were great . But tbh the decor has never changed. Now, there are Sketchy ppl walking behind you that apparently live on site. Dated living room areas (we never use), but if its fully booked all the time, a new set of curtains would be great!! Sometimes, the owner can be short, and it can come across badly. But, he always says thank you! Lol

We had a pet. We were on the ground floor with a patio and grass right there so you can let your pet out to do its thing. The lodge is right in front of Highway 101 but you couldn't hear the sound of traffic. We were in the middle of moving from a home we sold to a new home being built. The builder kept giving a different date we could move in. The staff worked with us to accommodate our needs. Because we extended our stay they even gave us a discount for the second week. The refrigerator was large enough for our needs. When we needed towels or toilet paper we just went to the front desk and asked. The lodge is right across the street from the Olympic Discovery Trail and very close to town and restaurants.

If you have a dog, this is the Taj Mahal without breaking the bank. I have a back door slider, that opens to a somewhat private area, which was invaluable for my dog and I. There is a very large field next to the hotel, where the dogs look forward to check out every time we go for a walkabout. I am glad to be outside of Sequim for I wouldn't like any of the locations of the other places. In my opinion, this is the best location, and the best for pets at the best price. I so much prefer this laid back atmosphere rather than uptight, I've got$places and uptight rules. I'm in transition moving to Ak, with 2 small dogs and I could have gone anywhere , but will continue to stay here until it's time to go. The Marina is 1.5 miles away, and the bike trail is across the highway. We walk it every day. This is the best place for us, until my dogs have their own yard again. I couldn't have asked for a better place.

Mostly, it's that it's right on the highway - so getting out of, and getting into, is somewhat uncomfortable.

My room was spacious and fresh. Sheets and towels were plentiful and mattress was firm. The refrigerator was cold and the room temperature was comfortable. Though on a highway, the room was quiet and there was a sunny balcony off the back. The desk staff was warm and friendly.

Written directions for maximal enjoyment of otherwise good quality flat-screen tv would have been helpful.

They don't serve breakfast. We brought our own food. When I showed the guy the picture of the breakfast bar, he said someone put that in and he has requested it to come off. Also it says pet friendly. We brought our dog. They charge 20 extra per night. He said I sould have called ahead to let them know. That is the extra that we paid for

The refrigerator made noise in the middle of the night. Other than that it was a quiet place to stay

The ease of check-in and the lady at the front counter was so nice and accommodating. She was giving the owner a much-needed break because it's usually him running the desk all the time. He hardly ever takes a break from what I have seen and he pretty much said that when I asked him "don't you ever take a break ?"He said "he will when he retires " But I stay here often because the rates are great and the property has a very private feel to it for me, so I really like that. It would be nice if the pool that is there was up and running, it would definitely improve the place and probably bring in more business as well.

They should offer some kind of pastries or something in the morning. Or if they had a vending machine that had pastries and or cookies, snacks, or something small. But other than that I have no complaints.

The lodge owner was so accommodating. Booking.com allowed me to book a pet friendly room even though there weren't any of those left. So when we showed up, it clearly upset the owner but he let us bring the dogs into a non-pet room. The problem here was created by Booking.com and not the staff/owner of the Lodge. They were wonderfully understanding. The room was huge, a little old, but comfortable.

Booking.com could've been more upfront about there being no more pet rooms left. It would've been less stressful for all around. I felt bad for the owner. But he was so understanding.

There was a problem with the internet connection to run my card. (Everyone’s cards). They let us get settled and kept trying until the internet worked and then called me to let me know I could pick up my card. So glad they trusted us!!! Older property but lots of room. Staff were very helpful. Was more than I wanted to pay as All they had was a 2 king bed room. More than I needed but only option at night so we took it. For the size the price was reasonable. Great if I would have been traveling with kids!

It is Washington so there was some mildew by the tub. Hard to avoid here.

I rate this place highly for what it is: a very inexpensive place to stay. High ratings are relative to that, not to be compared to a Hilton Hotel. The room was clean, bed comfortable. At the same time, the room heater was broken so there was a plug-in heater provided. I turned it down at night, but then it was too cold in the room in the morning. Also the coffee maker did not work: a minor disappointment, but a disappointment nonetheless. So if you want a safe, clean, no frills place to stay, this is a perfectly fine place. If you want character, luxury or pampered service, this spot might not be what you are looking for.

Greatly appreciated the management accommodating us when our ferry arrived late. We had to check in about 15 min after the office was supposed to close. The manager was very kind and helpful. Our room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable, with nice firm mattresses. Good stay and we’ll be back!
