Location was ok - a little far from the old town Bed was amazingly comfortable and staff were super friendly! Cleanliness could be improved as I noticed dirt on the floor and hairs on the towels. Also the slippers were not super clean and seemed used. Finally, even though I put a Do Not Disturb sign on, the housekeeping opened the door in the morning when we were asleep. All in all definitely value for money but some improvements could be made

Completely renovated intimate property on a quiet street in the old quarter. Surrounded by landmarks, restaurants and cafes. Because of the intimacy of the property, the staff got to know us right away and extended more personalized attention than one could expect from a larger property. Quang and Nia, provided excellent concierge services. They arranged a tour of Ha Long Bay that was upscale and a great value. Especially compared to some of the garbage scows other tourists were stuck on. The breakfast buffet included a variety of fresh fruit, juices, salads, cereals, breakfast meats, noodles, fried rice, breads, coffee and tea. Also includes eggs cooked to order or Pho. Stayed in a jr. king suite which was very spacious and had a mini bar and large terrace to kick back and watch the world go by.

Perfect location in terms of safety, security and proximity. Description of the location is accurate. You get the benefit of being close enough to the intersting places but far enough from the noise. The hotel has up to date amenities and most of the furnitures and fixtures are new. The rates are reasonable, good value for your money considering the hospitality and professional service you get from the hotel staff. Big thank you to the hotel team for making our stay comfortable. To the manager Mr. Toti who was patient and responsive to my messages prior check-in. To Ms. Daisy who have helped us booked our tour and to Ms. Chip who went the extra mile waiting for us to check-in past 2AM. You guys are amazing, keep up the good work and i hope to visit you again soon.

The best part about this hotel is the climate control system. You can not only adjust the temperature, but also the fan level, as well as a bunch of other settings. This made it very, very comfortable overnight. This is the most advanced air conditioning system I’ve ever seen in Vietnam. Breakfast was simple but good. There is a selection of fruit, cereal, bread, croissants, fried rice, bacon, sausages, and eggs (to order). Daily housekeeping was excellent. You can rent a scooter directly from the hotel, which is convenient. There are always staff members at the reception who are very kind and helpful.

Laundry service is expensive (60k/kg for regular service; 90k/kg for express service). Housekeeping threw out my toothbrush every day, so I had to keep opening new ones, which felt wasteful.

Hotel de Rond is brand new, with a beautiful contemporary tropical colonial interiors. Apart from the design, the young team of hotel staff were really friendly, helpful and professional. The buffet breakfast while nothing too fancy, was pretty decent with a small selection of fresh local fruit, a couple of pastries, and a mix of local and Western dishes. Laundry service was prompt and affordable at about 60,000vnd/kilo. And its location between the Old Quarter and embassy quarter, was fantastic. It's a short walk to the Opera House. Tip: turn left as you exit the hotel and walk along the street to check out the stylish restaurants and bars nearby. Things are a bit of a mess if you turn right. The staff were so so sweet. We had checked out but needed a space to hang out in the evening for a couple of hours before catching our overnight train to Sapa, so they allowed us the use of their breakfast room in the meantime.

Walls are a little thin, so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs to sleep through noisy neighbours and street traffic

The location of the hotel was fantastic. Hotel is on a quieter street but only a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle. We had no troubles sleeping at night and found that our room was quiet. Hotel was also in a convenient enough spot for us to get dropped off by a Grab/taxi. The staff throughout the hotel were amazing and so helpful/patient with us. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were attentive and super organised, they gave us many good tips as first time visitors to Vietnam. We enjoyed the breakfast, it was enough to fill us up for a day of sightseeing. The breakfast room is intimate but never crowded. We loved our made to order omelettes. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Wifi was extremely fast.

The tv in the room doesn't get much reception so is always cutting out.

Love the room design, spacious and clean. Bathroom was big, with really strong water pressure. Staffs were super friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Totti, Nia, Daisy and Chip and all the staffs (Totti : sorry I didn't get all the staff names) for going the extra mile. We also purchased Halong Bay Cruise 2D/1N through the hotel but was informed the night before, the cruise had to be cancelled due to typhoon. Mr Totti and his staff helped us to secure a Halong Bay Day Tour the following day which turned out to be a really good experience. Booked one night but ended up with 2 memorable nights and an extra day in Hanoi! This hotel is highly-recommended

Room was not bright enough.

All the staff were amazing from the first moment. Really helpful advising us about Vietnam in general and specially Hanoi. Always helped us moreover it was our first time in Vietnam and we considered ourselves specially demanding guests. Highly recommended as they also helped us with forex (currency exchange) and booking taxis to and from airport and excursions (all reasonably priced of course). We are very great full. They definitely went the extra mile. Also the location is great because it’s near the old quarter but at the same time at quite area.

Everything in the hotel is new and very clean, it's not in a super busy street which is nice and not a lot of noise can be heard from the hotel room. Also, we were in Hanoi during a public holiday where the main area around the city lake was closed off to traffic but thankfully this hotel is just a couple blocks away so we could be dropped off and picked up by the cab right at the hotel lobby. Breakfast buffet is good, there's different options (sweet & savoury) and you can ask for different dishes to be prepared on the spot (i.e. freshly made omelette) and the best part in my opinion is being able to have breakfast outside in the hotel's rooftop. Will definitely be staying in the hotel again if we're back in Hanoi!

The hotel was small and cosy and the room was nice. The hotel is very close to the old quarter (about 7min walking) which is just perfect because the old quarter can be a bit crowded between tourists and locals on their motorbikes. The staff were very helpful since the beginning, always ready to answer our questions in local or through whatsapp. Even after we left, they confirmed if we were able to arrive on time to catch the train.

The hotel is new, but you can listen to everything that happens on the other rooms.
