We stayed here twice, the first time was after leaving a crummy hotel. Fortunately we found this hotel and it was wonderful. So much so that a week later we came back. Efficient staff, good breakfast, clean, comfortable room and quiet. Room location and room type/size do vary so be sure and choose the room type that is best for you. Rooms in front overlook the street and you can hear a little street noise and church bells. I prefer rooms in the back which are quieter. The location is excellent, you are on a nice street close to the lake. They arranged drivers for us to Ninh Binh area and the airport and also helped with dinner reservations. We would definitely return if we are in Hanoi again.

Nothing, this is a great hotel.

The hotel looks like it is going through a modernisation programme. This was not a problem for us as we were given a 'new room' which was very comfortable indeed. The room's window overlooked a dark alley so definitely no view but we did not mind too much but maybe quests, and the hotel, need to be precise about their expectations/delivery. The breakfast room is a little strange. It is in the basement of the building so no windows. It does not feel right and the strange 'spaghetti Western' music does not really help. The people are again lovely and were really compassionate to my wife who was suffering from food poisoning from an excursion the day before. Thank you for that.

I suppose I prefer cleaner, more modern lines for hotel interiors. This felt like it was work in progress to achieve a bridge between tradition and contemporary. I hope they achieve it.

Excellent location in Old Quarters, surrounded by all cuisine restaurants. Clean and well maintained property. We had to go for an overnight trip to Halong Bay and had return transfers from Hanoi. The staff was courteous and accommodated to have our luggage stored for a night after we checked out. Specifically want to call out Alex from the Front Office who was considerate and offered help to us when we returned to collect our bags.

It would be good to expand the offerings at breakfast so that it considers vegetarians. Very limited options in hot meals for vegetarian guests. Welcome to include Arabic, Indian and Western vegetarian dishes. Thanks

We spent 3 nights at The Chi and I can tell it was superb from every perspective: - location: you step out of the hotel and you can have everything in a short walking distance but still not too noisy - facility: nice interior design, comfortable and well equipped room, in perfect condition - cleanness: spotless!! - breakfast: local and international foods, we tries mainly the healthy versions (salads, fruits…) but everything seemed delicious - staff: friendly, very helpful but not too pushy

Accidentally broke a drinking glass and they wanted to charge me $3USD for $125USD/night (x3/nts. Really?!! It’s called the “cost of doing business.” The drink tray is up against closet so be careful removing your coat everybody! Upon checkout I suggested this was petty and after comms with each other, it was removed from my invoice.

Excellent location in the best part of Hanoi city. Super comfortable beds and a very good breakfast. Courteous staff

Very slight disappointment.The pictures showed a roof terrace which would have afforded excellent views but on inspection, the terrace was closed and due to the thick layer of dust covering the top floor, I doubt it has been accessible for some time! Possible some health and safety issues?

Customer service and location very good, only a brief stay so didn't get to try cooked breakfast. Staff arranged a car then contacted us when we left mobile phone in reception, excellent customer service. Room was spacious and very quiet

Room was a bit tired with squint toilet seat and shower curtain rail which was mishapen. Could have been slightly better maintained

Very clean. Great location and surprisingly very quiet. I’m fussy about clean places and I found it to be clean for the price I paid. The staff were honestly nice. Helpful and polite. Alex the tour operator was very helpful and patient and I would recommend this hotel for people like me who look for quality and value for money

No pool wish it had one and no mirror on the room

The staff made me feel like home so far from home. When I left after 2 days for a short trip of 3 days they offered to take care of part of my lugage. When i forget some lugage they kept it. They arranged good limousine service for reasonable price to my new destination and back. Followed up arrangement and confirmed. It made my trip these days so smooth. Although in middle of center the location felt safe with good security and camera`s. All good here.

We really liked the location which is on the edge of the Old Quarter down the street from St Joseph's Church. It's within walking distance of the lake, French Quarter and many restaurants in the Old Quarter. There are several coffee shops nearby. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet had many Asian and western options.
