Royal Hotel West Edmonton, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The Hotel is in great shape even though it's an old facility. It was obvious to me that the owners are looking after the maintenance that's required to keep a facility running efficiently. I found the staff to be exceptional whenever I had any dealings with them. They were all very professional and assisted me in whatever way they were able to. The breakfasts I had at the restaurant we're good and the staff who served me went out of their way to make me feel like I was an important part of their business. The room was comfortable and I felt like I had plenty of space. I like that I had a desk because this was a combination vacation and working trip; I did spend some hours working on my laptop and having a proper desk to work on made all the difference.

I've got nothing to add here.

The included breakfast was phenomenal! A real sit down experience with wait staff, unlimited buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and lots of fresh fruit. So much better than the typical yoghurt and a banana you get as included “breakfast” you get other places. It allowed us to eat a good meal before hitting the road and not have all our gear sitting in our car in a parking lot as it was still safe and secure up in the room. We will definitely book again when we come back.

Parking on the backside at night can be a challenge getting bags up to the room since they lock the rear doors into the lobby making you have to walk all the way around the building to the front.

Location is excellent, staffs are friendly, overall clean enough and worth the money, breakfast is also decent!

Room service are not regular everyday as stated in the bathroom which is understandable, but for 4 nights stay we running out of face towel and bath towels, also we did request from the front desk but unfortunately still no decent service provided.

the location was great, very easy to get to we were able to park near a door and access to our room was close by the room was very spacious

i could not set the alarm on the clock radio, tried several times i used the phone to set a wake up call, but it was confusing, was never sure if i had actually set it the recorded message gave you instructions how to set it and i followed them, but when done the message just started over. It turned out that the wake up request never did work, good thing i had my cell phone for an alarm

Breakfast was fine and was a better quality than most breakfasts that are included but there was no toast or juice and it appeared you had to order it. The young man at the front desk (Clayton?) was very polite and helpful at check in, when we approached him with some questions and once more at check out. He was a pleasure to deal with.

As stated, breakfast selection. Quality was good, just missing a couple of items.

With the pricing the hotel is spacious nice and clean. Specially the bedding is so comfortable, sheets and washrooms are so clean. Breakfast was good too. The also accepted our request of late checkout. 2km close to Edmonton West Mall. Highly recommended

Addition o Pool and hot tub sauna would be best.

Location was what we were looking for, it was perfect for our dinner and show booked at the WEM, only a short 3-5 min drive. Bonus was having a free hot buffet breakfast in the morning. We had a great stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property.

Pancakes and french toast on the buffet were tough like day old food. The rest of the buffet was very good. Okay not to service room except every three days, but the in-room supplies should be increased before arrival. Eg. Coffee supplies, toilet paper etc Pillows too thick

Location was great and buses to the Edmonton mall. Lot of fast food outlets nearby.

Breakfast menu with more choice and change in daily menu. Some vegan options other than fruits. For milk taken for kids were extra charged which could have been avoided as their consumption on the breakfast is less. Juices were chargeable which did not make any sense, I feel it can be made limited with some choice or options but definitely should not be chargeable.

The price was a great value and the location was perfect being just minutes from the West Edmonton Mall. When you check in you get a free breakfast voucher for the restaurant in the building for each morning you are staying. Good sized portions and coffee was included. The room was clean, and comfortable.

Our only issue was we should have asked for additional blankets for the pullout couch (which didn’t come with any bedding other than a sheet) for our third guest.
