Wingate by Wyndham - Edmonton West

Breakfast was great. Water slide was great. 24 hour gym was awesome, as well as hours for pool and breakfast. Staff was good. Location was great for us.

Price was ok. Big jump to add one more person to room. Bath tub was disgusting. All chipped and falling apart. Would be impossible to clean something like that. They threw a bath mat over top and pretended it wasnt there. So gross. Especially disappointing especially with the price we paid. Although the water slide was good, the pool was incredibly smalll and shallow. Absolutely no room for swimming in any way shape or form. But the kids seemed to enjoy the waterslide.

Breakfast was lovely and cleaning, breakfast attendants and staff were amazing, that is why I gave a higher rating as they made it worth the price. For one night in that location and style I’d normally pay $130-$150

The waterslide stairs could have been a tad cleaner but maybe it was a busy weekend. It was nice to have towels well stocked there for guests. They even added more when they saw it got busier. Most hotels always run out. We didn’t feel we had to grab a towel as soon as we got to pool or they’d run out.

Amazing staff, amazing location. I'm thinking about a huge trip this summer and now want to switch all my hotels to Wingate. The pool was great, hot tub hot. Our room was clean ans our bed was so comfortable. You guys have the best pillows. Usually hotel breakfast is yuck lol but the egg and cheese ready to go omlets were boss and my kids enjoyed the waffles. The passion fruit juice was sooooo good and the place is under 10 minutes to West Edmonton Mall and is surrounded by liquor stores, restaurants, shops etc within walking distance. We will most definitely be back

Our room was very spacious. The king size bed was very comfortable. I was very happy to find a coffee maker, mini fridge and a microwave. Was great a great relaxing atmosphere.

Some of the furniture in the room was lacking. There was only one bedside table so I did a little rearranging the tables in the room to accommodate our needs. The office chair at the desk was broken and hard to move. It would be better that they toss it out and just use the side chair.

The room was extremely clean and the bed was amazingly comfy. An extra bonus was the really great artwork in our room and throughout the hotel. It was great to see this business supporting local artists. The coffee at breakfast was superb and we LOVED that it was fairtrade and local.

It is unfortunate in this current day to see so much extra single-use waste. While I understand that there may be a need for this right now (food safety) it is very unfortunate to see the type of single-use being used: all styrofoam, non-recyclable plastic single use. Would be nice to see a switch to better options - for example reusable plates, cups, and utensils or compostable paper plates and wooden utensils.

Wingate is my go-to hotel when I go to Edmonton. Great location on West End, close to shopping, eating, and the Anthony Hendey for getting in and out of town. The staff are nice, the room is always ready when you arrive, the room is comfortable and always cheaper than the adjacent hotels. Included breakfast and the Homefire Grill in the parking lot can't go wrong!

We found the location was perfect for the activities we had planned (West Edmonton Mall and Telus World of Science). The pool and water slide were a major plus! breakfast was good, and it being included and having convenient hours was great.

The facility is aging, and it shows here and there, but everything was in working order.

Everything pretty much met or exceeded expectations. Great breakfast, great rooms and my son loved the waterpark.

The waterpark gets a little too wild with older kids screwing around on the slides. I saw kids stopping in the middle of slides on purpose and also not waiting long enough after my 6-year-old son went. Just seems like an accident waiting to happen. Perhaps if there was someone there in the busier times to enforce a few rules it would be less stressful for me.

Nice rooms, exceptional staff! Even after we left and realized we left something behind, the staff were awesome, found our item and figured out a way to get it back to us since we live five hours away! Breakfast was simple but good and we always appreciate the free breakfast

We stayed in the family suite. Had two king beds and a pullout couch. Lots of room for everyone. The hotel was clean, and the staff was fantastic at keeping everything that way. The breakfast was very good. Staff kept bringing out fresh food. The pool was great for younger kids because it wasn’t deep.
