Interlaken Youth Hostel

The Location is excellent, next to Interlaken Ost Train Station, Supermarket, Restaurants, Pharmacy...etc. so anything you need is just next to you. The staff are really helpful and kind. The Hostel is brand new, well designed from inside. The check in process was so easy and don't forget to ask about your guest card which will give you access for public transportation for free, casino for free and major discounts on many other attractions, experiences in Interlaken and nearby cities. The room was spacious enough and clean. The bed was comfortable. The Toilets were always available and clean same for shower. The Wi-Fi signal was excellent, and the breakfast was spectacular since you have a lot of variety and that's good point for the hostel. There is a big locker room where you can keep your luggage which is for free (most hostels charge you for keeping your luggage) so I appreciate it.

Nothing At All

First thing first, they provided the Interlaken day pass which saved us a lot. Somehow there is a bus and train station right outside the hostel. You can go to Grindelwald or Jungfrau mountain easily from here. The breakfast provided is bread, yogurt, cheese, meat, and a coffee machine. You only have to deposit 20CHF to get a hairdryer and deposit some amount which I forgot already can store your hand carry bag in a locked cabinet. The staff is freaking friendly, they always give the best suggestions to the travelers on where to go if current planning goes wrong. Superb stay.

If the hostel could provide a curtain for each bed would be the best. There the other travelers who wish to sleep earlier can just isolate themselves with the curtain and the other people wouldn't bother those who want to sleep earlier. Overall is nice!

The location was just outside of the station, all travelling moving was very convenience. The stuffs are giving a nice help. We were leaving very early, the hostel provided take away breakfast for us, that was very appreciate. Keep the luggage’s before or after check in that was very value for us.

No any cup in the room, I don’t know how to brush the tooth without cup. If supply the paper cups which didn’t cost a lot. We are first time stay in the hostel, we don’t know the rule. No cups, no cattle, no fridge, sure it also no tea or coffee bags.

I like the location within 3 mins walk from Interlaken ost train station, staff are friendly, allow us to store luggage before check in and after check out. Room was clean and comfortable.

Only 1 microwave at level 1 common kitchen we almost queue up for 1 hrs to heat up my dinner. Toilet light sensor are too fast to switch off the light during the midnight.

The location is perfect! It's at the center and very near Interlaken OST Train station, coop grocery, and Harder Kulm funicular. There are also souvenir shops and restaurants nearby. As a family of 5, we initially booked the 6 bed dormitory. But we were moved to a family room which we highly appreciated. The room is spacious. The beds were not that soft nor not that hard either. For me, it was just right hence, it was comfortable sleeping after a long day of doing touristy stuff. As for the breakfast, there was bread, salami, cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cheese, juice, hot chocolate, and of course coffee. By the way, bring your slippers. The floors might get cold for you. Also, you can also rent J-type adaptors at the front desk.

basically, everything... walking distance from station, supermarket, restaurant. very good free breakfast. They have their own restaurant. I did not try wifi. Used mine one. so could not make any comment on it.

considering the volume of people, The kitchen should be bigger with 2 microwaves, 2 kettles. and more dining area. The community kitchen (without stove) is on 3rd or 2nd floor. so, it is difficult to get food ready and carry them on to the ground floor where they have big public place for eating from their restaurant. I suggest, to keep extra microwave and kettle at ground floor as well. That will take pressure off from the community kitchen upstairs. Zurich youth hostel has this facility.

The location is second to none. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly.

The bedside electrical sockets are facing downwards which is not practical at all. All the cables fall off and nothing holds especially with the converter. I had to charge my electronics on the other side of the room where there was a normal wall socket.

Hostel is very near to the railway station. And there are shops at the interlaken Ost centre.

Plugging charger into the personal charging port is difficult for international visitors as it is upside down. So charger won’t fit inside if you don’t have a 3-pin plug(Travel adapters won’t fit in)

The hostel is very nicely located near the Interlaken OST. Staff are frieny, breakfast is good, bedroom very clean. The bathroom is outside the room, but I had no problems with that. They're very clean and the shower is good. It's a nice HUB to stay and visit the jungfrau region.

There are power outlets to charge your phone near the bed, but it's upside down and the outlet does not hold the charger, I had to use tape to hold it still and charge my phone. The mattress is very thin, so it's not that comfortable to lay on the bad.

Location 1min walk reach main interlakrn train station, Including breakfast buffet n got option for glutose free too.

No kitchen here, only a room w microwave, no dishwasger, no utensils, but they did provide dinner for purchase and price is cheaper than restaurant there.
