ibis Lugano Paradiso

Price-value relation, it´s one of the best ones in the city. I like to book here when going to Lugano.

The room was quite hot, and the shower is a bit small which are small details. What I didn´t like was the fact that there were people with a huge dog at breakfast. Some people are allergic to dogs, some others are scared of dogs, and some others simply don´t like dogs, it´s not comfortable for everyone to see a big dog close to you while you are eating. But what bothers me more is that people at breakfast were touching the dog. It just takes some seconds to touch the dog and then go to the breakfast buffet and touch the food/fork/ the coffee machine or anything that everyone is eating/using.

Perfect room space, great customer service of the hotel staff, reception, etc. And especially excellent hotel restaurant service. Great location, less than 5min walk to the lake, and 10 to 15min to Lugano center.

There was nothing that I did not like. I liked the hotel overall. The only recommendation would be that it would be nice to have a small water cooker for coffee or tea in the room. 😊

The ticino public transports inclusive and hotel cleaness and the fact that was very close to the train station.

At the arrival the receptionist did not advise that the booking was mistakenly for one person so we received a call in the evening saying that we need to pay extra and than every time we met the staff were asking when we pay for the city tax. Abut annoying the lack of service. The rest was all good.

nice hotel in nice location

the girl that make check in for us was rude , how she speak and her attitude so bad her name MONICA we even knocked the ring to open door and we ask there’s room available she said no and we ask her to go inside after we make reservations she say didn’t response us and when we go inside the hotel and we ask who answer us she say it’s automatic answer like she speak with stupid people

Elegant place, super friendly and helpful staff, well organized, yummy breakfast, and the restaurant was available to sit down and eat dinner brought from outside.

Just some small details; no minibar in the room, no power outlet by the bed, no vanity kit...etc in the bathroom.

Very good value for money. The twin room we booked turned out to be big enough and cleaned everyday. The beds were comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Nice and friendly staff. Close to the lake and not too far from the centre of Lugano (about 2-3 km). Nice, quiet and safe neighbourhood. All in all, we both were very satisfied with our stay.

Parking is charged CHF 20 on top of the room rate. There was a slight odd smell when we first entered the room but we left the window open for the entire stay and it was fine. A small fridge in the room would be useful. The room is great for guests who wouldn’t mind a smaller bathroom.

Clean accommodation and close to the lake. Parking was available and 24-hour check-out as well.

Parking was quite expensive at 22 CHF/day.

Everything was very clean, the staff was professional and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had many choices, and the employee Aba in particular was extremely attentive, friendly, professional and very well organized. Whenever we will be in Lugano we will definitely choose this property again. A little extra was the guitar in the lobby, which anybody was allowed to play.

Value for money , good location and helpful staff

The resturant for the breakfast is really small with limited food options specially for egggs. Dogs are allowed in the resturant.Only one electric socket in the room which is not enough if you have many devices to charge.

Convenient location to Paradiso train station (remember it's not in the Lugano downtown) which is also right next to the funicular or trailhead up to Mount San Salvatore

Price was ok, but since it wasn't exactly in main city center, I feel it could have been a little lower to account for this.
