Caribbean Motel

I used to stay here for work 12+ years ago when I would describe the hotel as fairly good. Since then they have had a refit and now it looks excellent, fresh and clean. I thought it was great value for money and would definitely stay again. The location is ideal, walking distance to most things and the staff are very friendly.

Nothing, all good. Some people may gripe about no ĺift but it's only 2 floors at most and I'm sure the friendly staff would offer assistance if really needed.

The location is great. You can walk to nearby shops and cafe's and the water. The motel itself is very clean and tidy. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The TV was the biggest I have ever seen in a motel.

We didn't have a lounge in our family room. We could only sit at a very small dining table or on our beds to watch tv. Even though this was a family room that slept 5 people, it is very small and I wouldn't recommend a family staying there more than 2 days.

Great location, very friendly couple who work there, offered help at any time, clean and neat. Would definitely stay again, our family loved the overnight stay. Great variety of eating places across the road and small shopping centre a block away. Room is exactly what is shown on listing. Thank you

‘Garden view’ wasn’t great but didn’t really matter to us because we only stayed one night. Parking on site were quite tight, but a lot of on street parking on the street. All in all, not much to complain about.

It was clean, very comfortable, once the pub over the road closed it was quiet. 2 x large smart tvs in the bedrooms with Netflix. The grounds were well kept. The after hours service was easy to use and no hassles. The 2 x bedroom was well equipt with everything we needed for an overnight stay. very cosy.

There was not enough parking on the grounds, we arrived after hours and had to park on the street and carry up all of our bags and stuff up to the room. we were worried the car may get broken into because of the pub just over the road but it didn’t it was fine. It was a little bit expensive price wise.

Modern looking, not your usual Australian “blast from the past” motel. Our room was clean, beds were comfy, sheets were crisp and shower was hot. Our room was on the smaller side, but did suit us for our short stay. We’ll definitely consider this place for our future stays.

It would have been nice to have a larger bed (I think we had a double in our room) - but we knew what we booked. Would be good to have some plates/cutlery other than tea cups/tea spoons. Large bed is located in the “living room” alongside with the fridge. If your are a light sleeper, you may want to use your earplugs.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. We need to check in late due to significant delays at Pacific Highway. Bruce provided was very patient explaining how we could get our key after their operation hours. We stayed in an apartment with one bedroom, and two single beds in tbe lounge. The room is definitely much larger than average, and I am surprised how clean the room was. Bed was very comfortable, air conditioning works very well in keeping us warm, good size kitchen is also included. There are also lots of restaurants around within walking distance, I simply enjoyed my stay!

Kitchen facilities is very good , during for travel I can cook some breakfast such like noodles soup at motel ，my husband like the balcony so much because he can smoking there，the room was so big、beautiful 、clean 、nice and tidy , we are so satisfied it

Kitchen without cooker hood so when I prepare need to cook some steak for my romantic dinner, I still remember being petrified because the fire alarm is keeps ringing （even before I start cooking I already open a glass window n balcony door as well ) so better not cook steak at motel , anyway I still very satisfied with my room , it’s perfect

The location near the marina/jetty. The newly renovated rooms with comfortable beds and pillows.

We had a roadside room which was fine but we were right in front of the hotel sign which was really bright at night. An easy fix would be a wider curtain. Only a bit of road noise but mostly from extra loud trucks or motorbikes. I’ve stayed in the other side before and it’s much quieter.

Shower was huge with awesome water pressure. Bed was comfortable. Location was fantastic and close to so many good eateries and nice places to walk and check out. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend.

Unfortunately, we didn't realise our room was on an upper level, up some stairs and my hubby had 2 knee replacements in last 12 months. Not their fault though. Next time I will just ask for room on ground floor. 😊

Ramona was excellent at checkin and responded to our concerns about the description of the accommodation on Booking.com as opposed to what the accommodation actually is. She offered alternatives and also provided us with what action she had taken

When we booked on Booking.com it clearly stated that there would be Bedroom1 and Bedroom 2. The reality is that there is one bedroom and beds in the living room. While the managers of the accommodation have tried to request that Booking.com change this information it is still on their website and they bear the brunt of the complaints once guests realise the situation.
