Surf Beach Motel Coffs

location was good. great to go across the road and have a good walk on the beach. For dinner , had 2 options in walking distance which was great. Room was great for an overnight stay and well presented and comfortable

on check in to be told that my room was almost given away as it wasn't paid for while booking.com online gave me the option to pay on arrival, which i chose. i was told i wasn't answering the messages that was sent on the booking.com site, and that booking.com didn't forward the motel my mobile number. Drivers can't look at messages( via booking.com) if they are driving all day!!!!. But grateful that my room wasn't given away and i had a car spot as requested.

Really nice, simple, clean and roomy accommodation right across from the beach and park. The room had a microwave and kettle, as you'd expect from a motel and the water pressure was great so having a lovely shower after a day of driving was delightful. Plenty of room to sit and relax and the bed was super comfy as well. The parking is very tight so if you are towing a trailer or caravan you'll need to park out on the street. There's plenty of space and if you park in front or opposite from the motel you're covered by the motel's 24hr CCTV. We parked across the road with a full trailer and had no issues at all. It's a safe area.

This is advertised as 3 star. We were more comfortable than we have been at higher rated establishments. Everything was clean and in good working order. Good lighting, comfortable bed, extra towels, good water pressure etc. And friendly efficient service. Our room was upstairs but the stairs were the easiest to negotiate that I have ever experienced. Great location for excellent places to eat and walk and beach. If we wanted resort style living we would stay at one but for a base to attend local events and explore a little this was perfect. We would stay again without hesitation.

To open a window and get a breeze was not possible ( but the weather justified the use of the air conditioner which was efficient.

Clean, tidy and modern. Excellent location, close to shops, club, beach and parks. Friendly and efficient service from staff and excellent free WIFI. Would stay again....

Having stayed there for two weeks for work, it would get a little claustrophobic and stuffy at times due to not being able to open the window or curtains and maintain privacy. It needs blinds or sheer curtains under the thick block-out curtains, so you can open them to let some light in and maintain privacy. Not a significant problem, though, especially for an overnight or weekend stay. I just thought I'd mention it.

Unbeatable location and value for money with ability to walk to Park Beach across the road and along to Coffs Creek. A short walk to Acqua Cafe, Bowling Club and the Hoey Moey pub in the other direction. Kitchenette a major bonus.

Awkward parking in main section but better in the back area. Needs sitting area in room. Suggest you bring camp chairs. Very little storage but next time we will bring stripey bags for that. All in all, if you want to pay under $200/night, this is a good choice.

Everything ,,, The room was so lovely and clean, beds pillows sheets extra comfortable, the staff were so pleasant and easy to talk to and very accomodating. Parking was easy to get in and out of and close to our lovely room, We were opposite the beach and so close to the bowls club and local hotel, within walking distance to a petrol station and cafes. I highly recommend this motel as it was excellent value for money… I’d definitely recommend anyone to stay there and I wouldn’t hesitate to book directly with the Surf Beach Motel Coffs Harbour again. Hopefully will be back there some time next year and that’s where I’m staying ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything was very clean. The kitchenette was handy. I appreciated the extra blanket in the cupboard. The air conditioner worked well. I appreciated the parking space provided. The lady at check in was efficient and helpful. I appreciated the box to drop the key in, as I wanted to get going before the office opened.

The room itself was a little dated, but everything was functional and the bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice. The walls were very thin.

A clean, tidy and nicely appointed room near the water. While there were no views from our room this was not important to us - we wanted a well-priced overnight stay on our way to Qld and Surf Beach delivered. A sensible feature was the lockable security screen door so we could let a cross-breeze from the window over the kitchenette though the room. Block-out curtains helped us get a good night's sleep. On-site free Wi-Fi was quite good (16.3Mbps down, 14.1Mbps up) ... a surprising result as most hotel free Wi-Fi is pretty woeful. Certainly fast and responsive enough for browsing, email, news use and saved me using my 4G hotspot. Each room has its own allocated parking space that is clearly signposted and our space was generously wide ... low risk of door dings and scrapes from other travellers. Another bonus was its out-of-town location ... the nav let us bypass the crazy main drag traffic so we arrived with a smile instead of all grumpy!

we hadn’t expected there to be stairs and no lift ( not accessible). this should be clearly mentioned on the booking details. at first the manager said there was no available down stairs rooms and refused a refund ( as due to a disability I could not climb the stairs and needed to find alternative accommodation). however, soon after I received a call back saying a room had been found. very grateful. next time I book I will ask. I do feel that if an accommodation is not accessible it is the owners responsibility to advise guests to request down stairs rooms due to the upstairs rooms being non accessible.

A basic room that was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Excellent value and I would stay again.

Although the bathroom had been renovated recently (and looked very neat, clean and tidy) the room itself was old and may have had issues with damp in the past so there were a few stubborn stains on the ceiling and wall above the shower. Still, the price was excellent, and the quality of the fittings was good, so it certainly would not deter me from staying again.
