Posthouse Motor Lodge

OUR ROOM WAS ON THE GROUND FLOOR AND WE WERE ABLE TO PARK THE CAR RIGHT OUT THE FRONT, AND AS IT WAS RAINING, THIS WAS GREAT. THE ROOM WAS A GOOD SIZE AND THE BED WAS VERY COMFY.

THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDED ATTENTION WAS THE TOILET SEAT WHICH WAS HANGING ON BY ONE HINGE AND THE SHOWER HEAD WAS VERY HARD TO ADJUST.....THE WATER PRESSURE WAS SO STRONG IT JUST ABOUT TOOK MY NIPPLES OFF! THE WATER WAS ALSO POINTING TOWARDS THE DOOR AND COULDN'T REALLY BE ADJUSTED.

Very nice, clean and centrally located motel. Its on the very edge of the CBD and a short walk to the centre of town. Room was not overly large but had everything we needed and was very well maintained. Bathrom modern and clean. Restaurant was very good and we recommend it to others. Staff were cheerfull and helpfull.

Price was a litle on the high side but ths view is from experience and after a 2 year travel hiatus due to covid. Prices are increasing. Apart from that. everything else was fine.

The room was light spacious and large. We were on the second floor and could open the window for fresh air which was important to us. It also had all the conveniences, air con, fridge, kettle, hairdryer etc. Room was very clean and recently refurbished. The motel has a fantastic restaurant The Blue Plate. Difficult to decide what to eat as the offered menu looked excellent. The food was restaurant quality, not pub food. We had the dips, which were home made, Thai beef salad and oysters Kilpatrick as an entree and then baked salmon and lamb cutlets as mains. Deserts were also fantastic, creme brulee with rhubarb gelato. Good wine list, excellent service and overall a very enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend.

The bed had blankets which I dont really like. Breakfast the next morning was very basic, a let down after the restaurant quality meals from the evening before. However, this is just an opinion, and some people may be happy with a basic breakfast.

As we arrived late, it was impressive that we were able to receive room service and have a meal brought to us. This was much appreciated after a long journey. Breakfast was prompt which enabled us to get away on time in the morning. We hope to be able to stay again. We had the room with the spa which was very spacious and plenty of furniture with a couch, chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep.

Everything! What was amazing was that each room has a door on either side - makes it easy to unload luggage from the external door. Then the second door leads to the corridor (similar to a hotel) and that lead into reception and the restaurant! Perfect set-up!! Very clean and friendly/helpful staff! Would definitely stay there again!

A coffee machine with pods would complete the picture!

Room cleanliness was excellent. Bed was very comfortable and room furniture was well appointed. Staff were very helpful and understanding when our son was attending a meeting elsewhere and was a bit late for dinner. Meals were excellent

Our room was a bit noisy - walls are a bit thin!! When other guests used toilet or shower facilities in another room above us, we heard every related noise!! I had difficulty logging onto WIFI in Room 17 - in fact I could not get connection at all!!

Quit room despite being next to the stairs. Room was quite expansive and warm. Good location close to the city centre and all amenities. Cooked breakfast was great. Staff were very responsive.

A microwave in the room would be good. Television reception was very poor and the selection of channels seemed to be focused on sports. Did not appear to have many free to air channels??

The welcome was friendly and efficient. The room was organised to meet our needs for a two night stay. The parking arrangements were convenient and easy. The room was enormous, extremely clean and very well equipped to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was well lit and modern.

Nothing. This was a perfect choice for our stopover in Goulburn and as we visit at least twice per year to catch up with family, this will now become our regular choice, The location makes it a better option for us as well. Although we didn’t try the restaurant on this occasion, it has a local reputation as one of the best in town. It will definitely be on our list to try when we visit next time.

Pleasantly surprised. The staff on arrival were helpful, extremely courteous, professional and understanding. The room and motel were very much above average - clean, updated and comfortable. The room service breakfasts we ordered were value for money and delivered on time and still hot, now regretting we didn't have dinner at the motel restaurant the night before. We were very happy with our stay at Posthouse Motor Lodge. Highly recommend.

We liked everything.

The room was spacious and clean. loved the modern bathroom too. The staff were SO lovely and helpful. I was exhausted after a long trip and to be able to order quality food from the on-site restaurant and have it delivered to my room, have a nice hot shower and then sink into crisp clean sheets and have a good rest, was amazing.

It was a little noisy when neighbours left early hours of the morning.
