Katoomba Town Centre Motel

The attitude of the staffs, very helpful, ensuring that guests are okay and looked after.

The position of the aircon in our room - very uncomfortable that the air coming out is directly toward your head which gave me a headache and we ended up turning it off.

Look, you have to look past any shortfalls, when you have such a location. The location was absolutely perfect, so close to everything: supermarkets, eateries, walks. The room was adequate, if a little cramped. There was a toaster, hairdryer, the bathroom served its purpose, good water pressure. Fridge was a decent size. Parking was no problem. Staff were pleasant, especially the brunette cleaning lady who was very obliging when we needed amenities, and the friendly Ben at checkin.

The room was a bit cramped, Wifi was very slow, there was very little crockery and glassware. It is a bit dated, although adequate, and the price point belies the quality of the room, but I would overlook the negatives simply because of the location.

I liked how friendly the young man was who checked me in and how he was very helpful in reccomending me places for a good bite to eat. The shower pressure was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchenette was well stocked and easy to use, and I appreciate that the room provided an extra blanket along with an extra heater if needed. Was very impressed with this stay as it was only $110 for the night.

The only thing I could comment on that I didn't like was the shower door was a bit broken, I believe it was maybe bissing a screw/bolt so it didn't close properly.

Location was great. It's near the train station (very easy to find), there are cafes, bakeries and restaurants nearby, and a Woolworths and a laundromat across the street. The room was clean and spacious for two people, the bed and pillows were comfy as well. There's an AC if it gets too warm, and a space heater if it gets too cold. There's also a hairdryer in the room. A comfy walk to Echo Point, where you can enjoy amazing views of the Three Sisters.

Amazing location. Wonderful staff who were more than accommodating. Good amenities including TV, kitchenette (incl milk) and toiletries.

The bed. The doona/duvet wasn't in a cover, it was just sandwiched between two sheets, one of which was dirty. The sheets ended up all over the place so we weren't protected from a doona that had been used by many before us. Strange. Bright lights were also left on all night outside our window making the room really light, even with the curtains closed. We were located on the ground floor with car park outside our room.

It was very convenient to where I needed to be every day and it was also only a short walk to supermarkets, cafes and interesting shops in Katoomba. The air conditioner was very easy to use and very effective and both bathrooms in the two rooms I stayed in were very clean.

There was too much light coming in from outside at night especially in the first room which made it harder to sleep. It was a bit shabby but for the price it was excellent value.

The unit was very clean and the staff very friendly and kind. We were happy to be located so close to the shops and the bus we needed to catch to attend the CMS Conference. It was quiet and we slept well every night. Thank you to management and staff. Graeme and Yvonne.

One cockroach! They pop up everywhere so it didn’t dampen our enthusiasm for your motel!

So close to everything we went to Katoomba for. (Echo Point and Scenic World) Supermarket just across the road, motel in shopping area. Plenty of places for a snack. RSL easy walk for dinner. Outdoor under cover to eat outside in a communal area.

The bathroom was so very tiny. The shower was very old and desperately needs updating, as does the toliet. The kitchen area provided what was required but did also need an update.

I love the location of the motel, how convenient it is to everything in Katoomba: two minutes' walk to Woollies and Aldi, short stroll to the other restaurants and cafes in Katoomba. The rooms are clean, if very dated. Beds are comfy. Heaters in the rooms (some have electric blankets for extreme cold in the Blue Mountains). This is my motel of choice whenever I have my break in Katoomba.

Old bathrooms and the kitchenette are in bad need a good renovation. During peak periods, car parking can be a bit of a fight between guests (first in, best dressed).

The room was basically for us to stay while attending the Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival. It serviced our purpose wonderfully, being close to town centre and we able to walk, which saved us looking for car parking parking. After we left there were a few (precious) items we left behind, and the staff were promptly onto it and had these items posted back to us. Thank you very much indeed.

No particular comments on this. I cannot recall anything that we needed to complain about at all.
