Leisure Inn Spires

We had 4 nights here with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment expecting it to be 1 room with 2 bedrooms but it was in fact 2 apartments connected together. The main had a full kitchen, dining area, lounge, master bedroom with a king sized bed and bathroom with a spa bath and the other had studio type room with a queen size bed, table and chairs, kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower. We also had a laundry which was a HUGE bonus. The location was amazing - just off the exit from the Great Western Highway, a minutes walk from Leura train station and at the top of the main road putting everything we needed within walking distance.

The location was absolutely fantastic and easy to navigate through the area. The bed was comfy and I felt welcome. The room was clean and I had all I needed to make my stay comfortable.

I was a bit cold overnight as I did not want to be using the provided heater all night as I am very conscious of expenses for heating and the provided extra blanket was not fluffy enough for me even though I did use the electric blanket on low to avoid sweating. For most people everything provided will be plenty though!

Location is about 50 metres from the train station and at the end of the main shopping street of Leura. Staff were friendly and room was available earlier than expected, Reception also held our bags until we were ready to depart

Although it was almost freezing and the heater was set to 30 degrees there appeared to be a cold draft coming from the rear sliding door. Looking at it, it didn't look like it was fitted correctly. The room still stayed adequately warm during the night and the electric blankets helped.

The lady at reception was excellent, friendly and made us feel welcomed. Our accommodation while plain was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Undercover parking was also available. The hotel is just a short walking distance from the Leura town center and across the road was a very nice restaurant where we were able to have a good dinner. We would happily stay there again.

While clean and comfortable, the room was very plain. A few paintings or photos on the walls would have helped to brighten it up a little.

Good size room with microwave, toaster and full length mirror. Secure gated car parking with space allotted to the unit. Double glass slide doors to balcony to block out train noise (just need to close bathroom door to block further noise). Laundry facilities are right outside your door. Two minute walk to Leura Mall shops and supermarket. This room had more facilities than most general hotel rooms that come at twice the price.

The hairdryer is very old style. Probably best to bring your own.

Close to all things Leura. The bed was comfy and the electric blanket was a plus on a very cold night in Leura. The doubled glazed windows helped to keep the train noise down.

Staff shortages kept us waiting for our room to be cleaned for over 45 minutes after checking in time. We understand this and made allowances for this. Studio rooms needs two tub chairs for comfort for watching TV. The room we stayed in is in need of attention to bathroom cupboards, draws sticking and the laminate was peeling off, the chipboard underneath was swollen and could not be used. An exhaust fan would be a good idea to help keep moisture out of the room. The toaster worked but the cancel button did not and the TV did not have all Chanel’s working on the night. Three storey complex with no lift access only stairs, thankfully our room was ground floor.

Spacious apartment. Very convenient to the town.= centre You could leave the car in the security parking and walk into town which was less than 5 minutes away. Security was very good. The car could be left in a secure parking space that could only be accessed by a code if you were staying there.nicely appointed and reasonably priced.Have stayed there before.

there was loud talking or TV turned up from the next appartment whilst we were trying to sleep.

excellent set up of own room with practical supplies and space for our one night stay. good location. private parking. balcony nice to feel more spacious.

there was a flight of stairs to access the room, after entering the allocated car park space, there was a joint shared laundry space as you exit the room before a main hallway door exit- the people staying next door were very loud & violently coughing late at night and then when having to exit our room in the morning their clothes were all over the laundry space. obviously nothing to do with the accomdation but something to consider if staying for use of laundry space/wanting bit more privacy.

The location is very close to trains, tourist bus and the main town of Leura, which makes it easy to get around without a car. The rooms are spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. The furniture could do with an update, but it was all very comfortable and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay.

The stairs to the room could be a problem if you have a lot of luggage, however, the lovely balcony makes it worth the climb!

The bed was very comfortable and generally the apartment was well equiped. Staff generally very helpful.

Several power switches were in poor condition, being cracked and posing a potential hazard. The WiFi availability was patchy and was often unavailable. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom meaning that it became very steamy when showering even with the window and door open a bit.
