Three Explorers Motel

1. Location: Echo Point, Tourist Info Centre, Katoomba Falls are all within 5 minutes walk. Scenic world is also within 10 minutes. Town centre is a 25-30 minutes walk (but don't forget to account for slopes) 2. Room facilities: Fridge, Heated blankets, Air conditioning, DIY Coffee, clean bedsheets, bathroom accessories and even a microwave. Exceeded expectations for a motel 3. Touchless check-in and check-out: Parking to Check-in to Payment to Check-out without any human contact (tragic, but this is a plus point in the Covid era) 4. Quiet location: We had the rooms on the upper floor and has a quiet sleep on both the nights (weekends) 5. Free on-premise and ample parking

1. Being too picky here but: No on-premise breakfast option. However, there are a few options walking distance. Plus most restaurants in the area deliver to the motel at a nominal fee. The town centre is also just a 5minute drive with plenty of options. So not a negative point in any way 2. Cleanliness can improve further: Found a few bits of tissues, chocolate bits under the bed

My stay here exceeded my expectations. I expected a basic, budget accommodation, and the standards were way above what I expected with that criteria in mind. Really new looking inside the room. Perfect location, close to the hikes, very accommodating to store my bag before check-in and after check-out with easy access. Entirely contactless check-in and check-out, which was a new experience for me. Got an SMS when my room was ready to check-in. The room was bigger than I expected with a love-seat couch, a square table with two chairs, a tv (which I never turned on). The heated blanket was great! Very comfortable and clean.

Great motel super close to Echo Point in Blue Mountains. We could walk easily to see the Three Sisters and to various trails. We could walk or take the public bus into the Katoomba town center to visit restaurants and cafes. WiFi was strong. Bathroom was nice and bright. Bed was super comfortable - I got great sleep here. Could pop over to the Lookout for food and drinks if we didn’t want to go into town.

Would have been great to have a “do not disturb” sign for our door to decline housekeeping.

It was a very comfortable motel with parking near to Echo Point and the 3 sisters. Our room had a sofa, fridge, kettle and microwave. It was air conditioned for the summer months and a heated blanket for the colder ones. There is no staff at the hotel - checkin is done remotely. If any problems there is an intercom near to ‘old’ reception area.

It was a 20 min walk into town which wasn’t a problem for us, but there is a bus stop near to hotel.

Great value for money, basic but perfect for our family of four. Basic facilities that you would expect - decent sized fridge, kettle, microwave. very impressed that on our two day stay the room was serviced and fresh towels offered. completely contactless. clear instructions sent prior to arrival. the best thing was the location, 5 minute walk to Echo Pt, two min drive to Katoomba Falls and Scenic World. Nice RSL down the road. We drove into the town but you could walk it.

Location - it’s more or less in between the 3 Sisters lookout and the restaurant and bar area of Katoomba. We were just 2 people, but the room was big and could fit 2 more people - this would be a great value stay as a family. Room was warm with heater and electric blankets, which was wonderful because we were there in June and it was cold. Check in was completely contactless, so even though we didn’t see the staff their communication was great.

We had to move the bed to find the power cord for the electric blanket, it’s pretty dusty under there.

A great location for all the tourist spots. Clean and comfy with friendly staff.

If a microwave is supplied then I think crockery and cutlery should be also. I also think whatever is advertised in the room facilities should be in the room without having to ask for it.

This is a great and quiet location to stay in Katoomba. You are close to the Three Sisters lookout and a short drive to the centre of the town. The accommodation was wonderful for a family of 4. And it was nice to have off-street parking right outside the door.

I honestly can't think of anything. You can tell it is an older building, but it is well-maintained.

Cheap motel that provides exactly what was needed. A comfy bed, good TV, warmth at night with a nice new air con. Clean and excellent location. Would recommend to anyone.

The staff was so kind and helpful. They allowed to leave our language before check in and in the last day, after the check out. It was so comfortable because we could enjoy the day. The room is so comfortable and very clean.

We have to walk around 20 minutes from the train station. But it also can take a bus and be here in 10 minutes.
