Flynns Beach Resort

The apartment is just HUGE... the living room with open kitchen alone was bigger than two "regular" apartments you would get elsewhere for the price. But there were also two large bedrooms (one double, one with two single beds) and a small household chamber with washing machine and dryer. Both bedrooms had a ventilator and built in closet with shelves and enough space for 4 weeks. All windows had insect-nets, including one big insect door on the huge balcony. The Kitchen was huge, well equipped. Everything was clearly quite old but high quality and well maintained, no "cheap and beautiful" as you find it in modern apartments. Service was great, we were a bit late on a Saturday and did not read the part with "after 2 pm late check in" but they even called us and sent us a code for the key-safe, so we did not have to wait at the reception and search for instructions. Whole area is fenced off for guests only, with pools, lots of birds, animals, super-maintained garden, BBQ-huts, playground, tennis court, ... free parking on the area. Directly on Flynn's Beach, a bus stop directly opposite on the main road, so we did not have to walk more than 50 meter with our baggage after arriving with the train. SO great if you travel the east coast without car.

The WiFi-coverage was a bit bad, but as I told so at the reception they came with us to check. We found out that it must be something with the insulation in the walls, and the service technician must install a socket or an extra repeater. That did not help us in this week, but we were not really depending on Wifi and the care and interest of the team showed us that they do take you seriously as a guest and customer. Only "real" negative thing was that it got really cold, even though the heating was running 24 hours on max. It's just not properly insulated.

Very spacey apartment, the living was so cosy and the view amazing. We got the apartment with the balcony facing Flynns beach. The king bed was very comfortable and all equipment really modern and high standard. For instance very big flat TV and new dishwashers and washing machine. The garden is also beautiful with turkeys, birds, lizards. Finally, the location is super, walking distance to the beaches, the rainforest, the koala hospital, very nice bakery, small supermarket, pharmacy, and different places for breakfast and dining.

The pools were a bit small definitely not for swimming, but big enough for relaxing. Difficult to find other negative points it went over our expectations.

Loved the size of the 2BR apartment, spacious, comfortable, great view of resort (we were on 3rd floor) Contained everything could possibly need for a stay. Great water pressure in shower. Very quiet no road noise. Grounds neat & tidy. Choice of 2 pools. Restaurant next to resort. Beach short walk across road. Safe & secure parking in resort. The kids loved the wildlife in the resort & bird aviary.

the room was good, comfortable and spacious. the two pools were both really good. the gardens were lovely and it was nice just watching the water dragons. our boys enjoyed interacting with the budgies.

there wasn’t much within walking distance, so spent more time driving places. I feel like being more in the centre of town would have been nicer as there would be more options within walking distance and easier to have more days where you don’t need to drive anywhere.

apartment was spacious and bright. Good shower & bath. Had an issue with plug not fitting. Solved with gladwrap under plug.

Requested high floor at front hoping to have an ocean view. Sadly just glimpses through trees and Pacific Drive is VERY busy and extremely noisy from 6am. The bedroom window needs double glazing and blackout blinds. Also for the cold nights there really needs to be some heating in the bathroom. Balcony was very dirty.

The apartment was clean and dust free. Exceptional job by your cleaning crew. The apartment, and furnishings excellent. The location excellent. The office staff on checking in, had excellent customer service. Happy staff who explained clearly what we needed to know, well done ladies. Easy access to waste bins in the car park made it easy to dispose of waste we used. Highly recommend staying here. Already planning to return here.

The complex was well located and rooms were comfortable and well equipped.

Cleaning of rooms could be improved with previous guest belongings found under the couch. Apartment could do with some maintenance to fix minor damage. Finally, if photo’s show the tennis court, then it is reasonable for visitors to expect to be able to use the tennis court free of charge. The tennis court hire is not cheap.

Pools were both a little warm in temperature given it's summer, (solar heated) but both were clean and in a great location in the resort. Facilities at the resort were great for families with kids. Easy walk to beach and local shops. Ice cream truck would come around in the afternoon.

Both pools were a little warm in temperature. Bedroom windows were locked open (slightly) but couldn't open them fully. No fans in the living areas and had to rely on the A/C and balcony door. Our apartment had a east (bedroom)/west (living areas) outlook so the living area was very hot and sunny in the afternoon with the western sun so we had to keep the blinds closed to keep the sun at bay. We were on the top floor and my husband has a bad knee so climbing the stairs (48 in total) with luggage and back & forth every day was a little painful for him.

Rooms very clean. Comfortable beds. Modern kitchen. Lovely pool and surrounds. Great customer service. Ideal location close to Flynn's beach and a few minutes drive from Port. We look forward to returning!

The view would be amazing if the tree on the corner of ocean & paradise wasn't in the way but it was still lovely to sit on the balcony and read. I saw a few comments mentioning the car noise so I was prepared as I'm sound sensitive, but it was really minimal and I could barely hear it inside at all. We are all able to walk up the stairs but some people would struggle. I enjoyed the leg work out as made up for the desserts I ate on holiday :)

Facilities are fantastic including pools, BBQ areas and grassed areas. Gardens and wildlife are beautiful. Resort is kept very clean. Location is perfect.

We were in apartment 109 and the kitchen is in need of updating. We had no oven which was very unexpected in a 2 bedroom apartment of this size,, especially when it is advertised as a fully equipped kitchen. We have stayed in this resort many times and have never not had an oven. Thankfully we stayed with friends whose apartments had ovens that we could use. Also very limited bench space in the kitchen compared to other units with the same floor plan where the kitchen has been upgraded and reconfigured. The solar heated pool was also too warm on a couple of days. It appears the solar heating runs all day and doesn't shut off once the pool reaches 28 degrees, because it was definitely above this temperature and not really refreshing on a hot day.
