Roydons Motor Inn

Easy to find and access, good parking proximity to unload car. Staff were friendly. The room was nice and clean - new bathroom and good benchspace with nice tea/coffee area, toiletries and tea/coffee hot chocolate were lovely. It was quiet and warm - slept well. Brekkie was good. Access to grass area for dog was easy. Would stay again and recommend.

I'm stretching to find anything to improve, perhaps some lighting directly above the tea/coffee making area. A sink there and dishcloth to wipe the bench would be terrific.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the friendliest person from the room, the location and scenery- everything was wonderful. It is obvious that the hosts take pride in the rooms. Every corner of the room was clean, it was quaint and pretty. The room smelt wonderful. Even the grout in the shower was sparkling. It was so close to the centre of Tamworth and the hosts was able to direct us to where all the best local places were. There were so many little extra creature comforts such as a power board next to the bed for charges etc. These little touches make staying somewhere so much more functional. The bed was comfortable as was the quilt and Manchester. We will be back!

We were worried about arriving late, called reception who were very accommodating and advised us what we could do- very helpful and relieved the pressure to arrive on time. However, we arrived with enough time and to a very friendly and welcoming greeting. Location is central allowing easy access to nearby attractions, food and drink as well as shops. However, is still a very quiet location with a nice feeling surrounding/neighboring area. Room was beautifully furnished and immaculate. Room service breakfast was delicious. Couldn't be happier with our experience and will definitely be back to stay if ever in Tamworth again.

Absolutely nothing, everything was perfect!

The hostess was fabulous, very helpful, nothing was ever an issue. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bedding was very good, good selection of pillows to cater for most needs. Even my cat enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was excellent and delivered on time. Property location is great for getting into the CBD area if needed.

Only downside, which can't be helped, is being on a main road. Traffic noise is noticeable early/mid evening but it does quieten down enough later at night that you can still get a decent sleep.

The air con was a little hard to navigate and the light near the mirror either it didn't work or the light switch to turn it on was in a hidey hole I couldn't find it. I was going out and needed a mirror with a decent light but ended up not putting make-up on cause I didn't have sufficient lighting. Otherwise, it was worth the money I spent.

The property is dog friendly (and we came across a number of other guests with their dogs) which was a requirement for our group. There is an additional charge per dog per day. The property was very clean and staff very helpful. There is a nice BBQ area and pool as well. It’s a short drive into the main part of town. There is a road running behind it with a bit of noise but didn’t really bother us at night.

Was welcomed by owner Esther when I arrived. She was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. Room I was in (# 12) was immaculate. Modern room with all the facilities you would need in it. Presented beautifully. Bed was comfy. Linen clean. Room smelt nice. Tv worked. Nice large fridge. Breakfast was brought to my room (by Esther) on time and nice. I have and will continue to recommend it to family and friends in NSW and also at home in Perth. Thankyou for making my first visit to Tamworth enjoyable.

Nothing that I didn't like

The location was good out of the bustling city which we wanted. The receptionist was very welcoming and very helpful. Love her smiling face. Everything was working in room. Heaps of tea bags as we love our cuppas. The shower pressure was excellent.

Carpark allotted to us was very difficult to park as it was on an angle and very small space as well it had a railing on side of it used for guests to climb down down steps which interfered with parking the car as it was too close for my car to get right in and not hang out the back. If I had parked the car, the passengers would not have had room to get out, let alone the other guests who had the carpark next to us, So I parked on the street.

We had a great stay at your really lovely well presented Motor Inn. Modern and well equipped. (Large dinner plates would be a good addition) The pool was absolutely wonderful on your hot days and so clean. Your hospitality also made our stay perfect. Letting us pop our bikes in your very full garage was really kind. Congratulations on having the best motel accommodation on our trip so far.

We loved everything about it

Everything was good. The room was clean, the bed was so comfortable and soft. Friendly staff and great location. I like how they’re caring about the environment, I could seen it from some details ie, using eco friendly rubbish bags in the toilet. Would be happy to book this accommodation again.

Only the wifi was a little unstable, especially when I watched YouTube, or played games, I couldn’t connect to the wifi so I had to use my data. Other than this everything was so satisfied.
