Room was very large. I was travelling alone, but would have been very comfortable and roomy for a couple with a child (or two). Microwave and prep bench made it easy if you want to whip up a quick meal

This is 100% being fussy ... but the King bed (which to be fair I didn't book) was one that has the two king singles as the base. I find these uncomfortable as you can't sleep in the middle without feeling a weird lump. This left my on one side which is no better than a single. I fully understand why these are in hotel tho, and the comfort of the bed and linen it's self were superb. If I sharing the bed, this would not have been an issue as you tend to stick to your own side. This is NOT a complaint, it's just answering "what didn't you like".

Loved the way we check in and how to access the room. Loved that they allowed early check in at no additional cost Loved how close it was to the beach and restaurants and cafes etc Staff was exceptional and provided us with extra/more towels when needed. Loved that they provided Netflix. I would definately stay again.

We found the bathroom really small, toilet was close to the shower etc, we aren't big sized people nor are we small sized but we still found it a really tight squeeze. Could really do with a renovation. Blinds in our room didn't work so felt like they were still open and we were slightly paranoid people could see in we checked and you couldn't see in but still made us feel a little uneasy. Could be a worth replacing with new ones.

Room was clean and comfortable with all you need for a one night stay. Great location with easy access to the beach and lots of local cafes as well as the IGA. Blackbird and South Sailor would be my Thirroul cafe/restaurant picks. There is also an interesting antique type shop right next door if your trip happens to coincide with their opening hours.

Forgot to ask, but would be nice if there was a gluten free breakfast option! Rooms also not super soundproof and could hear next door TV's through wall.

Great location, close to where family live in Thirroul. The room was clean, warm, bed comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom. it is dated, however shower worked well. I think some work has been carried out recently and they have failed to replace the toilet roll holder and a shelf in the bathroom. The main room had a power socket that wasn’t screwed securely to the wall. We didn’t see any staff during our three day stay however were happy with that especially as Covid cases rising. There was milk, tea, coffee & breakfast cereal in the fridge. Our overall stay was good, would stay there again.

Fittings in the bathroom for toilet roll and a shelf, there was only a very small sink.

I was after pet friendly and they were at first unable to help me but then they rearranged a room in order to give us appropriate accommodation for our pet dog. This was a beautiful room with tiled floor instead of carpets. The friendliness and extra effort put in by staff to accommodate us was very much appreciated. Also loved the key code entry which means no fuss on arrival and departure. No outside noises on a fairly busy street, so must have double glazed windows. Very close to beach and shops

There was nothing that I didn't like and in fact would happily recommend this accommodation to family and friends

This is an old school motel that is exactly what it says on the tin. There is airconditioning, so while it was a pretty cold night in Thirroul, I was toasty warm. Bed was comfortable, so were the pillows. Rooms are large as well, so you won't feel like you're sitting on top of each other. The towels are big, fluffy bath sheets, which was nice. I had breakfast at the in house restaurant, which was really good! (I recommend the shashuka). Room was dated but clean and well maintained. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to cafes and a 10 minute walk to the station. It's contact free check in and the hotel makes it super easy - they text you all the steps before arrival.

There was a stain on my linens. Fortunately, I was staying alone, so I just moved to the other side of the bed.

The breakfast was fine. We were only there for one night so it was okay . I couldn’t get the shower to work , it was boiling or cold. The motel was quite old although perfectly adequate for our needs. I think it was more expensive for what it was than other places , but perhaps everything has gone up . I dealt with very nice , helpful and kind staff on the phone . Not enough blankets but it served it’s purpose for us

Good location to restaurants and beach. Beds are comfortable and bed linen is good quality. The staff were helpful and professional when responding to specific requests. The self check in is great.

The blind had a slat broken off one end so light came through and people walking past could see in. The bright outside lights at night shine through the blinds which wouldn’t completely close and they light up the room at night, so blackout curtains would be a good idea.

very comfortable bed, very quiet air conditioning, was very clean and the location was excellent

it was a bit noisy, from both neighbours and the street. also there was a loud sound from neighbours using the hot water which was nearly unbearable, that in itself detracted a happy face from the score. the bathroom facilities could’ve been better as well, as the shower head was constantly dripping. if there was a quiet close toilet lid and liquid hand soap they’d both elevate the bathroom.

Nowhere near the beach, but in hindsight, that was a good thing. Our car broke down and we just drove into the first garage and walked into the owner. Long story short, he took time out to fix our car and send us on our way. It was a five-minute walk from our motel, even in the rain it was a blessing. We were on the ground floor of the motel. It was an old motel, but very clean and very pleasant. The beds were very comfortable.

Thirroul Beach Motel, first surprise, it's nowhere near the beach LOL. The basin had been replaced with a tiny one, to allow more room in the bathroom, but the old shower stall with the step up, was really difficult with my gammy leg.
