Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia - The Most Spacious Rooms in Sofia, Secured Paid Underground Parking

Rooms are amazingly large and impressive. Spotless and comfortable. Highly recommended although potentially rather expensive compared to other properties.

The only hiccup to this property is that access to the Spa (eg swimming pool) is NOT included. A pass for 3 hours can be bought and it is not cheap. Reception accepted that Booking.com mobile app does not state this in their small print and it is through the app that I booked this property. The property must be fully transparent as to this additional charge because it causes significant disappointment.

staff needs additional training. they behave like being at home, chatting or looking at mobiles when guests are around, no help when offloading luggage in from if the entrance. nothing major in fact but this makes the difference between real 5 star and wannabe 5 star.

79 leva - €40 to use the swimming pool 35 leva - €17.5 for child any age to swim This is insult pricing. The Hyatt is free to use pool and spa.

rooms were very large, nice bathrooms. lobby was nice. breakfast was good. Simeon at reception who we met on our last day was great. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was available - tho at an additional cost of 20 euros. Loved the blowdryer that was in the room. Nice bathrobes.

5 star hotel. - maybe for Bulgaria. No one greeted us when we arrived. No bellboy to help with bags. Check in was just ok. Had asked for a high floor but was told there was an extra charge for that. After getting our keys we were not told where the elevators were. No one showed us to our rooms, had no idea that curtains were on an automatic switch. no paper, no pen, nothing. Spa was an extra 40 euros for 3 hours!!!! that was ridiculous! Small details - but that is what sets a 5 star hotel apart. I would stay here again - just know you will have to lower your expectations.

Very nice location, clean, luxourious and huge rooms. Panoramic views are fenomenal, experience you must see.

Not much friendly and polite staff. We run into some arrogant and very rude members, expecially at the bar. Also, the bartender tried to trick us with bill and giving back money.

So about this hotel - From the the point of location this place is great it's the center of the town 15 minuets drive from the airport , 5 minuets walk from Vitusha blvdr , its has very nice restaurants especially on the top floor, The rooms is very nice and big and the bed is very comfortable. the room has espresso machine smart tv and very good wi fi - for me the only downside is that the pool and the wellness center is not included in the price . and the price for visiting only the pool or the wellness center is very high in compression to other hotels. to visit the pool you need to pay 25 leva per person ( about 12 euro ) for visiting the wellness center its 79 leva per person per 3 hours not included message and extras ) so you need to take this in consideration espascly if you traveling with family and kids to pay additional 12-40 euro per day per person its not cheap

Some staff shifts are really sweet and very accommodating. The rooms are very clean and equiped with updated technologies and facilities. Breakfast is really good and has a good variety of food to accommodate all type of diets.

The check out was not the most plesant experience. I had amazing check-in and check-out eperience in the past and I am sure was just an episode. The ladies was almost bothered that I wads checking out at 04am and I had to ask for the invoice which was printed and passed over, the invoice was not the full stay invoice but only the lunch invoice that I asked the restaurant to charge it on the room.

We liked everything about the hotel and our stay. The ambiance was grand and elegant. True to their claim, I believe this hotel has the most spacious rooms in Europe for the price we paid for it. Our tour of Sophia and Bulgaria was part of a holiday tour of Europe. The team of staff was very kind and accommodating. They guided us to the best food, entertainment, and sightseeing choices. They helped us with all arrangements for private tours. The food in the restaurants was delicious and reasonably priced. The overall experience of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The people at the front desk were very helpful and manage to fulfill all my requests. The housekeeping was also very friendly and always made sure that I have all I need in the room. They even provided me with additional complimentary water and coffee capsules as I was workign from the room. The gym in the hotel is an actual gym where also local go. This meant that the gym is very well equipped and there are also trainers available for answering questions. The internet connection was perfect for working from the hotel and I never had issues, which is surprising, taking into account that I was using only the WiFi connection. The bed is extremely comfortable and very speciouse. The location of the hotel is also lovely - very close to Sofia city center, which means that a lot of the good places to go out are within a walking distance. The view is amazing: I booked a regula room and was placed on an upper floor. The view over the city is beautiful.

There are very few points of improvement. The TV in the room is using a standard hotel TV system, which means and it cannot se used as a smart TV for streaming services, which is a shame. The wardrobe is small, so for longer stays it becomes a bit inconvenient. It would have been good to provide long-term-stay guests with a discount for the wellness center, as the wellness of the hotel is known to be one of the best in Sofia. This way the hotel can make their guests feel even more special.
