Nice place, friendly staff, clean. It's a value for money

A strange noise like a buzz at night, though not so irritating

Two days in Sofia befgore jetting "obratno" to the US. Very close to City Park where there is a nice long fountain pool with a beautiful feminine sculpture and on Sunday evening, there is a group that plays traditional music and they dance in long moving lines of people (the People Xopata) and other more complicated steps

Nothing, I even had a Bila grocery just a few steps down the street which was under renovation. You can get a nice cup of yogurt and (Butche) spicy, roasted chicken leg and theigh for just a few leva. So, no need to spend much In fact between the National Archaeological Museum, the City Park and the area around and including Alexander Nevski, there was no need to travel out for drinking and dining. It's there, but I went to feel the place, the people, the culture and the history.

The room itself was great, I liked my stay so much at the beginning of the week that when I finished in Plovdiv and had to spend another night in Sofia I elected to stay at the Slavyanska Beseda. The room was quite communist styled, with a separate antechamber for an entrance with the bathroom leading off of it and the bedroom out the other door. The balcony made the whole experience really enjoyable. Just pleasant a reminder of a golden age of travel.

The bed wasn't particularly comfortable. Fine for me and most travellers but not somewhere to bring a picky person who's used to more luxurious options, a soft topper would have gone a long way.

Very central location. Closed to everything you need. Supermarket right next to the entrance. the bathroom was very new and clean. Great water pressure. The furniture of the room was kinda dated, but the beds were comfortable. Booked this hotel last minute as another place cancelled my booking due to overbooking. The stuff was polite and smiley.

we were on the first floor and because of the chinese restaurant underneed, it gets really smelly of fried food. Also in the bathroom, the odors in the mornings were like you are in a restaurant kitchen.

The room was spot on clean, equipped with everything needed. Bed was comfy, free wifi everywhere with good connection. The hotel does have an authentic slavic character with a modern twist. All in all, a good choice if you are staying a couple of nights in Sofia and want to visit the center.

Room 523 had an old air smell but it went away after opening the windows. Had to leave the shower on for 10 minutes on hot before some warm water began to pour. The toilet was somewhat "unstable" to say so.

Central location. Close to all major tourist sites. I was given room on 4th floor. Room was decent size. Beds were comfortable. Nice view from my room.. Everything was there. Except staff would not replenish tea/coffee etc. There is a big grocery store (Billa) right next door which was very convenient.

Some of the Staff members attitude could have been better. There is no Big sign with the name of the hotel. You can drive by and totally miss it. Direction from staff about reaching the hotel from metro train (Sofia university) was inadequate and vague. One of older staff member had terrible attitude. She seemed like busy in her own work and ignored customers standing in line.

Location is both convenient and historically relevant. Slavyanska beseda in close proximity to vibrant Slavyakov square celebrates solidarity of Slavic nations of Central and Eastern Europe. Both character and ambience of the hotel are 100% Slavic in every respect. Guests from other Slavic nations and all those speaking Slavic languages as well as scholars of Slavic cultures and histories are made to feel particularly welcome.

I've felt like a prodigal son that returned home. Nothing to complain about.

Location is perfect, near every single place you should visit in Sofia, and it is near a metro station. The staff was nice and informal. The food at the restaurant was ok. The room is old and would need some renovation, but for this price its just fine.

The water takes too long to get hot at the bathroom and there was some leak at the bathtub. I would recommend also to install newer televisions, it would be usefull to have some YouTube for the kids at night.

The Hotel is within a short walking distance to SU Sv. Kliment Ohridski Metro station as well as the bus stops for Sofia Airport (Bus 84 and 184). Nearby is the Monument to the Soviet Army, The St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the church of St Nicholas the Miracle Maker and the National Art Gallery , You really are straight in the centre of Sofia. There is also a small BILLA supermarket on the same street. I really liked having a mini-fridge in the room. The WIFI was also very good, and I was also able to watch Netflix. The price for my stay was also very competitive.

The hotel is in the city centre. Very easy and comfortable to reach everything on foot. We were upgraded to the family room and stayed on the 5th floor in a room with the balcony with fantastic view. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Room was quite comfortable and had good facilities, also kettle, coffee, tea. Shower was very strong. In the fridge we had drinks and alcohol.

The room is quite small, but it isn't critical. The hall downstairs looks very soviet, but room is in OK state. We came at midday but the room wasn't ready until 2 pm which is the time of check in. The stuff were good and We were allowed to leave our luggage in the storage room
