Hotel ZOO Sofia - Secured Paid Parking

Big apartment (living-dinning room, kitchenette, bedroom bathroom), lots of space for a family with kid/s. Clean, quiet, big bathtub, comfortable bed, big bathroom. Lots of windows. Huge terrace with outdoor furniture and shade (would be awesome in summer). Kitchenette fully equipped - pots, pan, cutlery, all the basics to cook some light meals for a toddler/kid. Stove top, sink, even dish washing liquid. Nespresso machine, kettle. (no oven, no microwave). Safe private parking in front of the hotel (it's paid separately, 10 BGN/24 h). Breakfast - 3/5 stars..good enough, tasty but not many options.

The view is rather depressing, at least in winter. Although you can sea the mountains in the upper part of the view, the area surrounding the hotel is messy to say the least. Maybe in summer the greenery covers all the garbage and mess that is visible in winter. We were in transit and the area was not important for us, but I would not choose this area for a visit to Sofia..it doesn't look nice and it's far from center. Lovec Park looked very unkempt. Room service is available, but there is no information in the room about what number to call, no menu...so you have to go downstairs to the restaurant to order. Even when we found out the number..nobody answered.

A Comfortable and Delightful Experience at Hotel Zoo! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Zoo during my visit to Bulgaria for a seminar, and I must say, it was a great experience! From the moment I checked in until the day of departure, the hotel and its staff exceeded my expectations in every way. I initially booked a 10-night stay at Hotel Zoo, and as my time there progressed, I found myself so enamored with the place that I decided to extend my stay for an additional 8 nights. The decision to extend my stay was undoubtedly one of the best choices I made during my trip. One of the standout features of Hotel Zoo was undoubtedly the comfort of their accommodations. I slept incredibly well each night, and the upgrade to a bigger room was definitely worth it. The spaciousness and overall coziness of the room made me feel right at home. The breakfast at Hotel Zoo was simply divine! I cannot praise their freshly baked croissants enough. Each day, they were served warm, right out of the oven, and the taste was heavenly. I appreciated the extended breakfast hours from 7 am to 10 am, which allowed me to start my days at a relaxed pace. Throughout my stay, I encountered some minor issues with my room, but they were quickly resolved by Atenas, the housekeeper manager. His kind, attentive, and efficient approach to addressing my concerns left me impressed and assured that my comfort was their top priority. The hotel's restaurant and bar were another highlight of my stay. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the service provided by the bartender, Maryan, was beyond compare. He was always friendly, and attentive, and went out of his way to recommend the best meal options on the menu. In conclusion, if you're considering Hotel Zoo for your stay in Bulgaria, I wholeheartedly recommend it. The warm hospitality, attention to detail, and exceptional service from the staff made my visit an absolute pleasure. If you want to elevate your experience.

Our second stay here and again cleanliness was great. Its a big airy apartment with Tv's, balconies and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast and room service was good.

The Internet was down for the whole 3 days of our stay which to us and many is unacceptable. We stayed in "the other building" we couldn't seem to get hot water, eventually reception sent someone up who told us that we have to run the water for 20 minutes as it needs to come from the boiler that is in another building. It did eventually turn hot after 15/20 minutes but if you need to get up and out early, running the tap for 20 minutes before getting hot water is not ideal.

The room is modern and very spacious, with great leafy views across the zoo and also mountains. The kitchen was well equipped and all was very clean. Added bonus of a gym, sauna and steam room.

Step out of our room and we found ourselves on an amazing balcony with a relaxed seating area and a dining table, however, we decided not to use this space because there was an unlocked door from the communal area allowing anybody to walk onto the balcony and join us on the balcony outside our lounge. We asked more or less on arrival for the door to be locked but this never happened.

This hotel is a great location for transit in Sofia, not far from the Sofia South ring road but also decently close to the city center and especially the Sofia Zoo (thus the name....) Large rooms (quite large actually), very well equipped and clean. Nice restaurant and a lobby bar to relax. They offer a private parking solution for a few hours or at 24-hour intervals for 10Lev / day. Very good to use. Friendly staff all around. Being close to the Zoo some 300 meters from the Eastern entrance, is a great choice if you want to visit with kids. So... we'll be back at this location when in Sofia...

Hotel is very convenient & easy to find off the Sofia ring road. With a modern design, the hotel is clean and attractive, and our room was large and well equipped. Highlights were the quality of the bathroom and nice, large firm bed. Breakfast was standard continental fare; plenty of it, decent variety and not too busy. Cleaning staff were really friendly and helpful. Some really good restaurants within walking distance, but you had to go searching for them. With genius discount and credit in the wallet, it was extremely good value for a few days away.

I think the only member of staff i saw smile was the receptionist as we checked out. It is probably more of a business hotel, judging by the groups at breakfast; who were clearly there for the conference centre next door, and as such staff where generally polite and efficient, but not what one might call 'warm & welcoming'. It was the first hotel I have ever stayed in where you have to pay to park at the hotel, maybe I am out of touch. (Free parking is available at the zoo car park, a 5 minute walk around back of the property). View from our window was a builders yard, not the hotels fault, just an observation.

We spent this week with my family in Sofia and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is located very close to the zoo, we went there with my daughter several times, it is very interesting there for the child. The location itself is a little far from the city and the bus is not very convenient, it's good that we came with our own car. But a couple of times we went by bus. Breakfast was included in the price and we really liked it, quite varied, tasty and satisfying. The room was clean, the Internet was good, everything you needed was provided. The front desk staff are friendly and always willing to help.

We lived above the restaurant and on the first day there was an event, very loud music until 12 at night, we could not sleep. It's good that it was once and other nights it was quiet. Also, the heaters in the room did not work and we were a little cold.

Good hotel, well organized and at high standard. The usual hotel you would go - like a Hilton. Rooms clean, all satisfactory. There was some leftover food in a fridge but after reporting to reception, they immediately came and cleaned it. Nice restaurant at site, good breakfast, nice personnel who knew English too. Everything was perfect and we will go again if we get to Sofia Zoo area. Relatively quiet during the night - given the busy neighborhood it resides.

Nothing to be honest.

The value for money is more than expected! The hotel apartment we booked was really big with comfortable desk for work, big bathroom and living room + balcony. We were pleasantly surprised by the compliment in the room - the good real coffee + chocolates. Since we're huge fans of coffee, having the luxury to make coffee in our room that tasted as good as when we're at home was amazing. The rest of the perks - comfortable bed, pillows, breakfast was delicious and most importantly, the team everywhere was extremely kind and professional! The hotel became one of our favorite places in Sofia, we'll visit again for sure!
